Since yesterday I have not been able to send or receive an mms. When I send an mms i get a 'server response error'. On receiving an mms i only get the mms size and the time stamp, but not the actual attached file.
This is frustrating me to no end.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Ps: I already goggled, but no luck.
Make sure your APN settings are right. If you don't know what they are, google them. If you can't find them via google, contact your carrier.
The APN settings are alright. I contacted my carrier prior to postung here.

I am in the US and have a international galaxy s2 on AT&T...My phone is fully rooted, and I am currently running Batista70 FOXHOUD EDITION 2.1 but i cant seem to get my mms on a consistant basis....I have tried several roms so I am pretty sure it isnt that, I can send mms and have a great 3g signal but most of the time I cant recieve my mms...I can browse the internet and download from the market just fine but there again I cant seem to get the mms to recieve...It seems like on a fresh rom install i get the mms fine but then after a day or so I go back to not being able to recieve one at all...I have tried different apn settings and have made sure I am on the right AT&T data plan (HSDPPB) as mentioned in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1109983) and I still cant get anything consistant on RECIEVING! It has really been agravating and I would love to figure out what I can do to get this working right, I dont know if it is the modem software??? Is it my apn settings??? I have tried different things and still nothing so any help would greatly be apprecitated and I have noticed alot of other people in threads seem to be having this problem so if we can figure it out I would love to make a thread to help out others...thanks in advance...
did you talk to your provider, they may have adjust or refresh your account settings from their end.

i have talked to at&t and finally got them to change my account and settings so I know for 100% that I am on the right rate plan and settings......
I to was having problems with MMS on ATT but my problem was sending them not receiving though. After I was sure I had the correct apn setting a customer services specialist had me do this. Try opening your phone dial pad and entering *5005*7672*+13123149810# then the green phone button. This is suppose to reset your sms/mms setting back with the network. Long and behold it fixed my problem of sending mms.
just to double check something - are you leaving your data (edge or 3g) enabled? disabling the phone's data connection will prevent mms from coming through.
Unfortunately, I'm torn.. between my love for CM9 and the ability to download MMS picture messages on my Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100G. I have CM9 installed, have tried several different modems, but just cannot download MMS picture messages. Every once in a GREAT while it will receive a picture message, but more often than not it doesn't. I have no problem sending picture messages, I just cannot receive them and it's very very frustrating. I'm on the latest nightly of CM9 with the latest google apps for CM9.
Is this something that is just impossible to fix? Or is there something I may be missing? ALL HELP WILL BE IMMENSELY APPRECIATED!!
It is probably a problem with the configuration of your mms apn OR even with your carrier/your sim card.
I have had a problem like that for months, and a fix for me was changing a number.
If you are able, test your sim card on another phone and check if the mms images work.
If they do, it's most likely APN configuration.

Thanks for the reply!! I have tried to find APN configurations but haven't found anything that seems like it'd really fix it, but it's most likely cause I simply don't understand how APN works. Any help or links to help would be appreciated!
I just installed Cyanogenmod 10 on my Spring Motorola Photon 4G, and after I find that I have no MMS which after research seems to be very common. I'm seeing that most people use go sms pro as a work around to this. I installed it and still no MMS. I also see that people did editing to some of the options under the advanced menu which involves changing the I want to say the address of what MMS uses to send which also look to be carrier specific. Since I don't know what these are called I've found it difficult to find. If anyone could offer some assistance in me getting my MMS working again that'd be great.

All you need to do is add the APN's for your carrier.
Sent from my MB855 using XDA

i think that might just be a bug that hasn't been fixed. not sure though.
I also do not have MMS, after flashing Th3Bill's CM10 10/28 build. Anyone know what the issue is?
I'm on Sprint.

add the APN's if you haven't.
What exactly are the Sprint APN's?
I've tried both of these, none work.

EDIT: tried the SIII method, then and added the APN's manually. Then the new version came out, so I reflashed and did a factory reset. That seemed to do the trick!
Whenever I send a picture in a mms it spends a long time "queued for sending" then it fails. I've verified my APN settings. Are other people able to send pictures with no problem?
i havent had this issue, try resetting your APN.
if the problem persists contact your mobile service provider

Hi , I've had that problem for a few weeks now, despite that I have a separate APN set up solely for MMS (read somewhere sometime agao that its best to have 2 APNs, one with all of the necessary settings for intenet etc and then one optimised for MMS, keeping the the internet one tagged as your main live/enabled APN, the phone will still se the MMS apparently). I've checked my settings, and nothing has changed since when I was last able to send them, however I have to admit I don't use MMS very often and I can't really remember for sure exactly when I was last able to send an MMS successfully.

Oh really? I read that having more than one APN screws it up and it's best just to have the one.
From here:
When you set up the APN that you have posted in your question make sure you save it & erase all the other APNs that could be showing

Since receiving my Redmi Note 3, I've been very happy with the phone and software, however I have not been able to receive multimedia messages, is this due to alternate APN settings?, I'm on Australia Woolworths network 4G telstra.
However these settings are default normal telstra, would this be the reason or is it something else? Cheers
Today I was trying to download a MMS but wasn't able to. I modify APN but still nothing.
Then I had the brilliant idea to change the setting to "Prefer 3G" and it worked. Downloaded the MMS without a problem.

Maybe a bug. But you don't have to keep the 3G. You just have to change to 3G to download the MMS and change back to 4G after that.
I'm with Aldi Mobile, and I can't send MMS, despite configuring the settings they provide on their website. Are you guys able to send MMS at all? I've tried both 4G and 3G, but no luck. I'm running the latest stable global ROM.
Oh, and I'm afraid I don't know if I can receive MMS sorry....
Edit: OK, I can send and receive via the Xiaomi built-in Messaging app (with 4G). Google Messenger will not send MMS, but don't know about receiving.

Sorry peteski, I haven't had any luck with this. Even though I don't like it much, the built-in app does the job so that's what I've been using. If I ever get it working I'll make another post.

Hi Megafluffles, I've got the same phone, same carrier, but even with the Mi Message option on I can't send MMS. Did you ever find out how to get the stock messaging app up and running?
Ta, Nic
Sorry for the necroposting, I hope this info helps someone. For some reason it's very hard to come by.
On my Redmi Pro it looks like this: Settings -> SIM and mobile networks, but not APN settings! Instead, somewhere at the very bottom there is an option to "Always receive MMS (even if mobile internet is turned off)". Switch it on, and voila! The MMS service is working. When you turn it off, even if the APN settings are correct and your 3G-4G network is working perfectly, your MMS "can't be sent at the moment". Good luck trying it out!
I'm using the latest stable MIUI global and the default messaging app, nothing fancy.
