Using insanity ii 64... love the ROM but I just can't get the tethering to work. Each time i start up the wifi tether, it will automatically close by itself. Any advise is appreciated.

Then be patient. You can't be bumping your thread every hour, that's just a douche-bag thing to do. This is a forum board, not an IM client.
If someone knows the answer to the question in your thread, they will post in your thread.

It doesnt support tethering yet, try hydrog3n or d4rom
ic ic... too bad.. I love the ROM but I need tethering for my work

Right ok then sorry for my lil rant above then, i wasn't trying to be mean, its just been a very long 39 hours and 20 min for me. The link you found is correct, so if anything you should post there since the developer of that module will be able to help you better than i can.

Unfortunately i cant help you, i dont know anything about that module. i use a custom kernel, where everthing like that is in the kernel and not apart of the operation system, unlike modules that are in the operating system and need to be insmoded on boot.
With the custom kernel im using, Zombie Panik (link in my signature) does not have hotspot functionality yet, as far as im aware.

and read the first post very carefully. Ive just had a quick look and i can already see that the module is not finished yet and is still in test phase. and that the install method needs to be rerun on every boot.
Long story short wifi hotspot is not functional for consumer use just yet, only really for developers and beta testers. Thats what i take from it anyway.
Unfortunately, even if the kernel has the function built-in, the ROM creator would still have to update to use it.

Come on man!!! Call a person noob, only when u're able to give solutions to his/her problems...guiding him to read all the FAQs is not a proper solution...
@shahrukh... i don't know what rom r u using, but try usb tethering with gsm network first n then connect to wifi...i've tried this only once with oxygen, long time back...not sure now...

I'm trying to tether my samsung galaxy tab to my rezound. I turn on barnacle tether and press associate, it says its on. My gtab cannot locate it. Any help would be appreciated
I'm unlocked and rooted.
You're going to need the wpa_supplicant fix on your gtab. If you search for it you'll find it here on XDA. If I find it first, I'll post a link.
The basic problem is that the Galaxy tab doesn't see ad-hoc networks. This fix allows it to.

I have my phone wifi connected, and the signal bar is excellent. But i cannot access any internet
I thought it was the wifi router itself, but my laptop and other mobiles can connect and browse using the same wifi. so it is not the router's problem.
I tried Factory reset and change the rom to a full official rom but still I got the same problem
Please, can anyone help me?? Does anybody has the same experience??

using old baseband stock p505
kernel some lg 2.xxxxxx35 or somethin
cause if i plug in the usb and turn off the screen, i guarantee no matter wat u press it will stay off. ull see it brighteen a bit with slight grey static
gets terribly annoying, causes a forced battery remove b/c i cant turn it on again lol... also have tried disabling all animations, INCLUDING the screen turn on and off anims
ull be able to slide the unlock and u can hear the gui being accessed.
also happens randomly*** but random only when not connected via usb,
i think i need a better kernel maybe??

Its kinda weird. Ignorant people just trash up android development section and they start original android development section.And spamming start here even hours after stating section.
