I'm really thinking of getting this case for my evo 3d. Do you guys think it looks cool or ugly? Be honest
I really like the kickstand and I'm a seidio fan

Its a great case. I have the Convert Combo and the Surface with kickstand, both Seidio cases. Bought them separately, but use the Surface with kickstand in the Convert case and have the Surface that comes with the Convert in a drawer at home. Those 2 work awesome together!! The Active is very similar to the Convert, just doesn't have the Surface case as the inner shell and doesn't have protection for the cameras. Check out the Convert on their site. I love the durability, and the flexibility as it is actually 2 cases in one!

I dig it. Good quality and looks "protective" which is a good thing.

What's your protection

post What kind of protective gear are you using at this very moment or planning to get ..
let's see I have. Otterbox defender with a anti fingerprint screen protector. I had just the otterbox but hated when the plastic got stuck to the screen now with the antifinger print it doesn't stick no more.

nothing but a screen protector now. usually have it in a sedio active case.
Ghost Armor all around with the carbon fiber backing (they sold me on the carbon fiber) surrounded with an Otterbox Defender Series case with the screen protector taken off (because the Ghost Armor one stuck to the OtterBox one)
PS: not to step on any toes here, but i believe this belongs to the accessories section instead of theme and apps

I have the seidio extended rugged case with the extended battery and holster. I had a scare yesterday with it. I just got to work and checked in on foursquare and I guess I didn't push it far enough into the holster, I opened my truck door and down it goes. The phone bounced on the face and did a roll bounce and landed on its back. Much to my amaze, phone is perfect which it should be with this exterior. From this day on, I will only buy seidio products.

Check the Amazon website. They have a lot of cases and/or holsters for good prices.
I would recommend the Otter box commuter case, not to bulky has a nice feel and most important protects the phone just fine!!
Sounds like you want minimalistic. Go get a Cruzerlite TPU case on Amazon. Like $10, and way less bulky than the Otterbox cases. Trust me on this one, you'll love it. There's a thread on it in the Accessories Forum with pics.

I just recently compared my phone with this case with someone who has the same phone in a Commuter case, and he was quite impressed by the much less bulky case I had, and is likely going to buy one to replace his Commuter. Cheaper, thinner, lighter, more stylish.

I'd say this is the case judging by the OP. Commuter wouldn't necessarily be as good for grip.

I used the casemate barely there case on my OG EVO for a while, and while I liked the case, it scratched the **** out of the sides of my phone. If the design is similar, I would stay away.

Even if you're super tough on the phone and case, you could still buy a few of them for less than most other cases.

I have the OtterBox Commuter. It is a lot slimmer than the Defender series but it still protects your phone really well. I've broken my case twice and contacted OtterBox and they sent me a replacement case twice. They have really good customer service. I know the case isn't the slimmest out there but it's the slimmest it gets with some good protection.

If you want really slim, go with the CaseMate Barely There! If you want really slim and a solid back(no cut-out for the kickstand), there are cases on ebay. They are very very similar to the Barely There case, they just don't have the kickstand cut-out, slightly better camera protection, AND only $6 shipped!! I bought one in white, and it just arrived today. First impression: Very nice case! I'll take a pic and post it in just a minute.

Here it is. Few angles to show that the top and bottom aren't covered, just the sides. Sides do come up enough so the screen will not touch if you set it face down though. Nice touch I think.
Sent from my White Evo LTE running MeanBean, using XDA Premium
the incipio feather case also is slim but doesnt protect the top and bottom like the case-mate, but it does have the kickstand cutout. I have a small issue with mine not completely reaching the side with volume keys but it's insignificant... if you want pictures just let me know
You guys and your otter box lol .. that case is over priced and fall apart.. not to mention the phone is big enough and now your adding more bulk to it .. get the cruzerlite case.. its 12 bucks on amazon and fits like a glove.. The impact doesn't have to be in the kickstand area for this type of damage to occur. This area is the weakest point of the aluminum frame, so the phone is most likely to bend there. Only a rigid case protecting the front and the back edges of the phone would prevent it.

I have 3 of those. Bought the smoke grey, clear, and the red. These are very nice TPU cases! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a TPU case!! I also have the 2-piece Seidio case in white (with the holster), 2 Commuter cases (one in each color combination so I could make my own black/white Commuter) , matte clear TPU case, and the case I pictured a few posts back. So far, I prefer the one pictured in this thread and my black and white Commuter! Nice to have different options depending on what I'm doing! Main reason though, in all honesty, I'm just an accessory whore when it comes to my phones! Lol. I do this with every phone I buy, and only use some once before they collect dust in a drawer until I sell the phone a year later.

Here's a pic of the Commuter in a Seidio Active holster. The fit is perfect, like the two were made for one another!! I also have the Seidio Surface case and holster. While you can put the Commuter in the Surface holster, it is too tight and far from ideal. If you already have the Surface holster and refuse to buy the Active holster, then it will get you by I suppose...but you should be planning to get the Active holster asap!

Here's what you're left with after using the white silicone and black plastic hard shell. You get the black silicone and pink plastic hard shell. I'm gonna put this on ebay, before too much longer I hope. I think this looks better, or at least just as good, than the pink/white case sold by Otterbox. I think Otterbox should let the customer decide what color silicone and what color hard plastic they want when ever placing an order. This would slow down their warehouse, or maybe just require them to hire one or two more warehouse employees, but would increase their sales I think.

Seidio vs Otterbox

I know this thread's about two other cases, but since this recommendation was tossed into the mix I want to share that I just today gave away one of these Ballistic cases. It was "okay", but not great. I didn't like that the hard plastic surround shell didn't wrap around the top and bottom at all, so when putting the phone into (or pulling it out of) my pocket the silicone would peel back. To each their own...
Try the BodyGlove
Check the Body Glove case, it gives a nice solid feel and good grip. I really like how it makes the buttons press, very smooth and solid clicks on the power and volume buttons.
