[Q] HyDrOG3N-ICS missing service menu - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey,
I installed this rom HyDrOG3N-ICS 28.03:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1530179
When I was using a 2.3.6 rom I could access the service menu after typing this code *#*#197328640#*#* in the dailer.
Currenly in the new rom after typing the code nothing happens and the number simply fades.
I followed this post, but it didn't help even after copying the apk:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1038863
I need this menu because this way I fixed an audio distortion issue when using my BT headset.
Anyone knows a fix?
Thanks.

A search would have revealed that the service codes do not work with ICS .

Can you suggest instead an app that would help me reduce microphone gain level from the bluetooth headset? (because when I make calls using it, the other side hears noise distortions)

Any idea for a way/API to programically access the call audio stream ? I've searched the forums but it seems all other posts are old and without answers

[Q] Internet calls in KG1

Hello !
Got the phone 2 days ago, quite pleased with it.
Flashed with stock KG1, no rooting yet.
Ok, here's the problem. I set up SIP account under 'call settings', and it works.
I can receive calls.
Then, i make new contact with 'internet call' field filled in with number (also tried sip addresses).
Then, i try to call it. Not working. I click on internet number in cntact details and nothing happens. Annoyed.
If i check 'ask for each call' in 'call settings' - it works for usual phone no. contacts after asking and answering that i want to use internet call. Quality is fine.
Please help, i use SIP quite frequently.
Thanks !
nettalk application works for me..
This is not an answer sir...
Or is it 'android way' to just live with such bugs ?
Anyone ? help please.
Thanks
Well sir you do realize that test firmware may be full of bugs i hope as that is what you are using .
Not saying the release when it comes of 2.3.4 will solve your problem or not .

Answer Calls by Lift to Ear?

Hi, just a simple question, is it possible to answer calls by automatically lifting the phone towards your ear? (Similar to that of calling someone by placing the phone near your ear in the messaging app)
Sorry if this has already been asked. I am unable to find a similar thread as suggested by the forum
Thanks in advance!
No, you cant. not really a good solution either, Answering your calls in your pocket when walking etc...
Would be a nice feature.

Ive a problem with the swype to answer call on the S3, i find it really annoying and "slow". Is there any other way to answer calls actually? Like pressing the homebutton maybe?

Settings > accessibility > call answer/ending
Tick answering key

You could try to use Tasker. I've seen people mimic smart call with it so might be able to use similar thing but for answering an incoming call?

Ah, great. Thank you. Not easy to find actually.
Proximity Talk does exactly that. put the phone to your ear and it answers the call. It can also turn on speaker automatically when you move it away from your year, take out speaker automatically when you put the phone back to your year, and also hang up calls just by putting the phone face down... try it by downloading it in the play store
thanks for the responses, I'll make sure to try them out later. Cheers!

[Q] Call initiated vibration heard by the other side

Hi,
I've recently bought a MKT6577 Galaxy 3 clone - HDC S9380.
The phone is running on Jelly Bean 4.1.1
Whenever I'm making an outgoing call there is a call connected vibration when the call is picked up by the other side, the feature is nice, but the problem is that the person I'm calling is able to hear this vibration in their phone. Is there a way to disable this vibration, or delay the microphone initiation?
I already tried changing all the sound and vibration settings in the phone without any success.
Thanks for help
any ideas?

Have you gone to Phone app->Menu->Settings and looked there? There should be an option. I have it on CyanogenMod, I don't know if it's there in stock ICS or not.

Checked the settings already, there is nothing regarding vibrate on call connect
Moonguy75 - there is no way to contact the developer of the rom, it's a "stock" rom on Chinese phone
Is it possible to somehow modify the phone.apk, to disable this vibration?

Application that decline an incoming call and automatically recall the phone number

Hi there!
I am currently strongly in need of a application that adds a recall button on incoming call screen.
That will cut and recall the incoming call no. after few seconds.
I tried searching but haven't found one.
Hope will get one . . . .
BTW Thanks in Advance!
