Blue Keyboard with Transparent Background - XPERIA X8 Themes and Apps

This is my favorite keyboard that I have made so far. Its the stock keyboard for gingerbread roms. I hope everyone else likes it too. I will take requests for other colors as well.
If you dont have the stock keyboard, get the libXT9Engine.zip file from my post with transparent keyboard. Extract with 7zip. Copy to sdcard then to /system/lib when you copy .apk file.
DEODEX INSTALL: copy .apk to /system/app with root explorer, change permissions, reboot to cwm, wipe cache and dalvik cache, reboot.
ODEX INSTALL: same as above. JUst extract with 7zip first. NOT a flashable zip.
ENJOY!!!

cool , but please make the letters black or white

[Q] keypad color

hi,
i installed the gingerbread theme and i love it.
but the sony ericsson keypad is blue yet. i dont want to change the keypad app, i like the original keypad. but the blue color is boring. is there a way to change the color from blue to green or black consistent with the gingerbread theme.
thanks
How did you install the gingerbread theme??
got it from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=872020
and followed the instructions.
Im sorry i don't know of a black/green SE keyboard, ill add the htc one anyway
thanks for your attachment, but i want to keep the se keyboard. i used a htc diamond for a while and i was not satisfied with that. i can type fast and well with the se keyboard. if there is no way to change the color from blue to an other i will live with the blue one, but hope dies last
try to download this SuquashiInputMethod.apk from here and move it to your device as described in the thread..but I am not sure if it will work
thats what i did before and it didn't seem to work for some reason

It should work flawlessly...
yeah the phone needed a restart thanks =] so yeah it works
just replace the SuquashiInputMethod.apk or I need to do the whole framework-res as well?
I'm currently using the iridium carbon theme btw.
If you want the black keyboard only then yes just replace that file.
okay. thanks! will try it.
i thought i could also do it with root manager
because i find adb push sometimes confusing because i dont exactly know what i am typing most of the times, i tried pasting the SuquashiInputMethod.apk from the black theme to system/app overwriting the existing one.
actually i did it exactly as dark dog suggests in his iridium carbon theme which was very helpful espesially for setting the permissions for the apk.
and i got a black keypad....
yeaahh, now the keypad is black. nice work. thanks

i used the rootexplorer.
copied the .apk to /system. set permissions to 644. moved .apk to system/data
permission with rootexplorer. hold your finger on the file, choose permissions and set:
_________read__write__execute

important: change the permissions when the apk is in /system, then move it to /system/data

[Theme] ICS CM7 - Sonny's MDPI ICS (Port + Tablet Tweaked Edition)

First of all, thanks to Sonny for his great work!
This is a modified version of his MDPI, originally found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1310925
Unfortunately, it doesn't work correctly on the nookCOLOR due to the status bar buttons being too small.
So, I've modified the theme so that the buttons are in the MDPI folder (making them bigger AND clickable).
( added a little bit of ICS color flair )
Let me know what you think!
I like it. Any way u can add the ics wifi icon.
Thanks!
It should already have the right icon ... I just ported the theme.
If you can show me a screenshot, I'll take a look at it.
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
Nevermind I thought the wifi icon had no breaks in it and it was solid. But just double checked with my ics vibrant and it has wifi strength line breaks in it.Anyways this is my favorite theme right now you did a excellent job. Most of the themes soft buttons were too small these are just the right size.
No prob
I really liked Sonny's theme, which I'm using on my Evo ... just need the buttons to work for the NC
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
Thanks for the theme.
You're welcome! Just wanted to give back to the community a little.
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
how did you modify the theme? I noticed the LunarUI theme has the exact same problem with the statusbar icons being too small and not in the MDPI folder.

Beats live wallpaper mod

I modded the livewallpapers.apk from CM7 to include a few additional images, one of them being a beats logo wallpaper. My phone is running ICS and I cant get this to work as my wallpaper selection is broken. This should work for any GB base ROM, but i need someone to test it out. If it does work i will post a tut on how to change the background images.
So to install this-
download the attached apk
use a file explorer to change the existing livewallpapers.apk in /system/app to "livewallpapers.bak"
copy the file from you SD card to /system/app
change the permisions to match "rw-r-r" and reboot
change you wall paper to a live wallpaper and choose the nexus LWP
click on preview, then settings at the bottom to change the color and background
PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THIS WORKS
CREDIT TO Cyanogen mod team for the apk and the kopykaykiller for the beats wallpaper
I think this would be best moved to Themes and Apps. It isn't a ROM.
Very nice though. I'll keep my static wallpaper though. Battery and all that.

you don't install it. you have to drop it in the system/app folder
I will resize it for multiple screens tonight.
Looks good,I may use this when I find a rom I'm going to stick with lol

hello! i am new to forum so i thought i could greet u all first
i have a kind of a problem..i use gingerdx v022 rom, and it's great, fast and stable..there are 2 themes in theme chooser as soon as u flash the rom, a-theme and system theme..so i like some stuff from each and i was wondering if it is possible to kind of mix them toegether into 1 theme..e.g. i'd like the status and notification bars from a-theme, and font size, and settings menu icons from system theme..how would i do that?
thanks in advance, and i hope i made myself clear!
EDIT: also, where can i download the original xperia x8 icons?

ohh okay..i'd like
-settings menu (and all other transparent menus) background changed to stock xperia's, from arc2.0 file if not make it black
-music and power control widgets transparent black
-change dialer, battery and status bar icons to touchwizzed's
-make status bar black, and if possible change settings menu icons with touchwizzed's ones
-every other thing from a-theme lite (transparent notification bar, notification power widget icons, glowing edge on menus, green ticks etc etc) other than font size..it's small, increase it
ty in advance

[MOD][GB 2.3.4] [13/01/14] Modded ICS inspired UI with toggles

Hi, just wanted to share this ICS inspired modded status bar including 15 scrollable toggles (flashlight also) for our gingerbreaded Xperias (tested on .42 Arc and .42 Pro) . Compatible with swipe to remove notifications.
I attach also framework-res.apk file which matchs perfectly with the UI and the quick pannel settings app to manage the toggles.
As usual copy files to system folder with any root explorer and set correct permissions:
SystemUI.apk and Quickpanelsettings.apk to /system/app folder and set permissions as rw-r-r
Framework-res.apk (extract it from .rar file) to /system/framework and set permissions as rw-r-r
** 2013/01/14 **
Updated files. Minor improvements.
Known bugs: (edited) none.
Credits: Base files are from OmenHTX's JellyBread ROM, so as I only edited and changed some images credits should go to him. I also used some parts of FlorinXstyle's gin2ics theme and pajoneer's xperia arc big pack
Hope you like it!

Updated files in first post. (minor graphical improvements).
it may have been missed, but "adb push" should be done in deploying this, especially the systemUI and framework-res. if done via rootexplorer, once the systemui gets overwritten you can't have the phone respond well.
i also noticed the stock look of the time and signal meter was changed to a stock android look, its ok but then i prefer the sony stock look. the battery status in % did not appear as well. also, when the notification was swiped out, status bar force closes, so either it restarts itself back or won't reappear anymore.
hence i reverted back. i actually just want a percentage battery on status bar that's why i tried this.
thanks for the work nonetheless
You are right. A zip loadable from recovery would be better but unfortunately my skills dont allow me to do such thing...sorry.
Anyway root explorer method works ok, did you copy both systemui.apk and framework-res.apk? Should work.
Regarding second issue you should change your framework.jar file in framework folder and put one who allows swipe to delete notifications.
Try with this one. Remember permissions

All icons changed except for battery. I wonder of this can be corrected with frameworks.jar added. Will do testing in a bit. Will post an update.
Btw, there was a looping FC error after overwriting systemui.apk but fixed after reboot.

If not, what is the script to change battery icon? Not really that familiar with the codes.
