Is anyone having issues with the scrolling on the touchpad with Google music? When I flick up or down it stop scolling as soon i remove my finger. Also when I drag the scroll bar on the right edge the letter will not change unless I move it slowly.
Didn't have these in the pre release version

I'm having the same issue. I've also noticed (on my atrix, doesn't happen on the touchpad) that rotating after taping on the album art kills the GUI. The released version IMO seems rushed.
The same is happening to me as well.
I may try downgradjng ttp 4.0 beta

I do have exactly the same problem with google music on my SGS II...so maybe it´s a apk specific bug?!
I noticed some of the same behavior when dismissing notifocations in the pull down and when horozontial scrolling in pulse. You have to drag your finger very slowly.

Guys
I had the Asus weather app working fine on my CM9 A2 but I've just changed to the CM9 Cornerstone version.
I've downloaded the Weather and the My Water apps but, I'm having problems.
With the weather app, it is not letting me enter a location. I can type in the town name BUT I don't get the ability to enter it or apply it. If I leave it to the software to find the location, it doesn't seem to go anywhere.
With the My Water wallpaper, it loads up on the setting okay but when I click to apply it, I get the notice that 'My Water has stopped working' then it goes back to a default Android wallpaper but it is dead and I have no cursor nor icons and the buttons don't work on the task bar. I have to reboot the TP.
Any help is appreciated please!
To get the weather app to apply I had to first turn off cornerstone then the apply button showed up. I couldn't get any live wallpapers to work with cornerstone.
Sent from my cm_tenderloin using Tapatalk
Ahhh, that explains it. Tried a couple of live wallpapers with just a black screen.
So its either Cornerstone or live wallpaper then!
Well I've taken it from cornerstone to a CM9 nightly and the weather widget works fine but still got the problem with My Water which is a shame as its a lovely wallpaper.
If you quickly press 'set' before the preview of My Water loads, it will work fine. I have it Running on my Touchpad now, running the CM9 Nightly from 3/18
Ahhh. Okay. Thanks for that. I sorted it a few days ago by putting a copy of the app in the system apps directory.
Where do I get that app?
So you guys prolly know what I am talking about. Is there anyway not to have it just take partial of the image? Depending on the image sometimes it's distorted

Touch wiz doesn't allow scrollable wallpaper....

Glad to here I wasn't the only one having this problem.... I love the galaxy s iii but hate touchwiz. Add this as a reason to the list.... Try using pic speed wallpaper to set your wallpapers as scrollable... Plus they have tons of great walls.

I actually don't mind touch wiz honestly. I haven't gone to another launcher considering I used apex on my 3d. But I'll try that app out. Thanms!

Picspeed is a nice app for sizing your wallpapers the way YOU want them, haven't checked their wallpapers though. Also, checking "scrollable" in the app doesn't make the wallpaper scrollable in TW, unfortunately.
This is apple's fault. Apparently they own the patent to scrollable wallpapers in a home screen

I'm fairly certain that this is misinformation. Nothing I can find indicates an Apple patent on this feature (and keep in mind that Apple themselves do not offer the feature), and Apple don't seem to be attacking the other Android devices that have offered this as part of the base operating system since day one. If anything, this makes TouchWiz behavor more like iOS.
(Apple did patent scrolling in the next picture in the gallery application and, the key part, snapping back to the current picture if the drag motion wasn't far enough. TouchWiz does exhibit this snap-back behavior on the home screen, but patents are very specific and using the same image and implementing it in an entirely different context means that Android should be fine here.)
I think it is more like Samsung took the feature out because their visual effect is now that you are scrolling a box of icons in the middle of the screen, not the entire screen. It would like kind of funny for the box to rotate and the background to rotate with it while leaving the other foreground elements in place.
Yeah I have been using zedge for a long time now. The only problem when using wallpaper apps and setting it within the application is that it only changes the launcher wally and the lock screen

This effect was enforced with an update to gingerbread on Sprint Galaxy SII's a while back after it was working the same way with the same launcher therefore I can say with certainty it was not a decision for design. It was with that same update that the browser overscroll effect where the page would move away to reveal a dark background was removed. I'm sure it was to appease a court ruling so that the product could continue to be sold.
I believe this is the lawsuit that targeted Samsung in terms of scrolling effect

Use QuickPic its in market and free.
Download Flikie Wallpapers HD. This lets you set wallpapers without cropping.
Just go to gallery or wherever your picture is located, press menu and press set as wallpaper using Flikie HD.
No resizing needed.
use the gallery2.apk from cm9, and when you set the wallpaper, use the gallery crop from the cm9 gallery (you can have both the touchwiz gallery and cm9 gallery on the phone at the same time) to set your background, which will do the background scrolling.
I'm having some issues with finding really good wallpapers to work with this screen resolution. My favorite app Zedge needs to update there pics are blurry. I want to get the most out of this screen.

nothing exciting... just type in HD phone wallpaper android into Google... probably half a million variation available
got LGOG?
Try Wallbase HD Wallpapers App, they got high-res pictures with a HUGE variety :victory::laugh:
I have a map of Middle Earth as my wall paper. I'm probably a little slow on the up take, but it's an over sized image that the device loads using the middle as the main home screen. If I scroll to the home screen on the right, the map scrolls right. Scroll to the left and the screen scrolls to the left. For lock screen I have a death star image.
This one.

http://slickdeals.net/f/6077002-Android-App-Next-Launcher-3D-is-free-today-normally-16
Found thisin slickdeals today. I take no credit just like to share with you guys on this nice launcher. I still use Nova because it's a little more intuitive.
Android App: Next Launcher 3D is free today (normally $16)
Yes, I know the original price for the full version is outrageous at $16 , but let's look past that seeing as how it can be unlocked today for FREE.
First install the "lite" version [google.com], then once you have it installed and running as your current launcher, go into the Menu (the furthest right icon in the dock, 3 vertical dots) and go into Preferences. Go into "About Next Launcher", then choose "Activate" and enter: "nextlauncher3d" as the account and "appoftheday" as the code. Enjoy.
As usual with any new launcher, you've got to set it up to your liking, but it looks pretty slick and appears to be pretty functional. Excellent ratings on the Play Store. [google.com]

I thought I might try this out. I did what you suggested, but when I got to the About Next Launcher screen, there isn't any 'Activate' button. It wants you to upgrade which takes you to the Google Play full version. The activate button on the 'Features of Full Version' (only place I could find an activate button) is greyed out. Any suggestions??
Edit: NVM you can still select the activate even tho it's greyed out (man, am I conditioned or what?) Thanks for the tip!
Activate button is greyed out but if pressed it should take you to the screen to enter the username and code.

The button is grayed out -- but it still works. Simply tap it, and follow the rest of the instructions. Works perfectly. I just installed on my GNex (toro running Avatar ROM) and on my Nexus 10 (AOKP PUB - mrRobinson).
Do the trial and then do the following afterwards at the top. It unlocks the features but doesn't give you the full app. It is still labeled as lite and the full version you can still buy.

No difference between lite and full except name. Now I'm not sure what happens if you uninstall it and reinstall it later on a different device.
I think it's not tied to your Google account so back it up with your app of choice and restore it when needed.

nice find. i bought it when it was on sale for $9 or something...never actually used it tho. use NOVA launcher.

Where do you see it labeled "lite" after activation? I just checked Preferences / About Next Launcher and I'm simply seeing Version 1.33
I DO see a discrepancy, though: back in the Play Store, whatever I have installed is NOT recognized as the full product, with is currently at version 1.35.
Must investigate a bit more...
It really isn't worth it. Because I set apex as my home launcher and it kicked it back to trial mode lol. Thanks anyways.

I'm still playing with it. Sort of trippy screen transitions and some of the animations are cute, but my first impression is that all these tricks will wind up slowing me down -- may be back on Apex or Nova by tonight...

I agree in general. I think Next 3D has potential -- if you use the features sparingly.
For example - I've found some of the animations to be extremely fluid and fast. Default settings on this launcher offer smoother animations than the defaults on Apex and Nova, although you can tweak the settings for those two to also be very fast.
I know that the Next team wants to showcase / show off their feature set. But by setting defaults to showcase everything (e.g., random screen transitions to start), the experience can be overwhelming to a new user -- and wind up being a major turn off. I'm trying to have enough patience to give it a fair test, get it properly configured, etc. One thing: both Nova and Apex can at least import homescreens and icon layouts (and, to some extent with Nova, widget layout), Next 3D doesn't seem to be able to import layouts from either Apex or Nova. This can make it pretty daunting for someone with 180 apps and a normal layout of 3 to 5 home pages.
I've been using the Next launcher for a couple months now. They've came along way from the first release. I have no lags or screen glitches with the animations look like no other phone. Only issue that i have is the default launcher will not stick when rebooted. I have to set it as default every time. It'll stay default till I reboot.
It's basically nova or apex with fancy animations. Features wise they are very similar.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
I gotta say. I've been running Nova for a while now and I just downloaded the free version of Next launcher and I am completely blown away. It's not just fancy animations. Its some pretty awesome widgets, wallpapers, themes, and a lot of customizations you can do to pretty much anything. Some of the animations are a bit much, I will agree, but I'm really impressed with the quality of the widgets and just the theming overall. Very slick! If the full version wasn't so expensive I would have already purchased it.

I agree. I've lived with both Apex Pro and Nova Premium for several months, a few weeks at a time with each. They are both excellent, solid products, and they've been evolving nicely pretty well -- primarily doing what it takes to keep up with each other.
Next 3D -- after you've toned down all the random transitions, really seems to have excellent potential. I've already spent quite a bit of time dabbling with Nova's "aggressive" settings and Apex's option to keep code in memory, as well as adjusting screen transition time, but my initial impression is still that Next 3D is smoother. I'll have to spend some more time experimenting to be sure, but I suspect the time will be worth it.
The widgets are certainly impressive, but I was disappointed to see that the weather app seems to in vertical orientation. While that's generally natural with my phone, I use my Nexus 10 in landscape over 95% of the time. A bit annoying to have to rotate the screen to see the weather report in detail. I'll wind up using another weather app instead (back to Beautiful Widgets or HD Widgets for now).
But I really do like the speed and responsiveness, the icon animations, screen transition choices, and little touches like the dock rolling over to display different options. Definitely worth exploring further before a final decision.
