[Q] Can't Mount SD Card CleanRom DE 1.2 - HTC Rezound

I hope Scott will see this.
Anyway I updated to CRDE 1.2 and everything was great.
Then I saw the beats audio on all apps mod (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1587168).
I flashed that and now I can't mount my SD Card properly. It will mount it but not show the files that are on it correctly. Then if I try to put any files on it from my computer, it just closes the window and says there is no disk in Drive H.
I can't get to it from ES File Explorer. I tried going to the folder and it shows some files but I can't access anything.
I can't mount via Recovery issue as I get the whole there is no disk in Drive H problem again.
Anyone have any ideas?

I was having the same issue. If you flash the old firmware patch it should clear it up, just flash it right after you flash the rom.
1 flash rom
2 flash old firmware patch
3 in hboot flash the PH98IMG.zip
do it all in that order and you should be good.

Are you sure you didn't have this problem before the beats patch? The beats patch shouldn't have effected your SD card at all. I'd follow the suggestions above ^

same exact thing happened to me, just go to amon ra, and flash from SD card and in the CleanROM folder there should be old patch file,

I'm certain I didn't because I was listening to music early that day on my phone. I'm using the new firmware so should I still flash the old firmware patch?
Thank you everyone for replying.

Well I tried flashing the firmware patch and I'm glad I had a nandroid I lost all ability to read from the SD card. So that didn't work either lol.

[Q] Question about Simplistic RC1.1 ~A SuperLite ROM~

I dl'd the rom today and installed on my SD card. I then extract the boot.img file from the PH98.img and flashed it via fastboot. When I went ot install the rom I got an SD card error (Status 6). I removed the sd card deleted the rom and placed the dl'd copy back on my SD card. I got the same error. Any help out there? Do I need to use the PH98.img?
Also. does anyone know if the MMS works in this app?
Not to put down the work of anyone, but with the number of Sense ICS ROMs out right now that are stable I would be a little leery of this one. Trying to develop a ROM and make it stable without having the device the ROM is for is a tricky proposition. There's only so much you can do in the terminal without being able to account for hardware inconsistencies. Just my two cents. It sounds like the PH is intended to install the boot.img automatically. Have you had any other issues with your SD?
No other issues with the SD card. Am I wrong in thinking that extracting the boot.img and loading via fastboot accomplishes the same as allowing the phone to load the PH img?

Internal/External Sd Card Issues HTC Rezound

I unlocked my bootloader, rooted, installed amon ra recovery, have flashed a couple different roms. This morning i flashed scott's cleanrom 4.0 booted up everything seemed to be looking fine. However i went to look in my gallery for photos and it just pops up the screen sd card unmounted. So i went to setting storage and clicked mount sd card and it says preparing sd card, but doesnt do anything. So then i looked in the file system. under /sdcard it says sd card empty mounted or unpresent. sdcard2 isnt even a file system (not positive its supposed to be) so basically i only have access to the RAM i think? ive rebooted, factory reset, id try flashing a new rom, but i cant mount the darn cards on the computer to flash a new rom (maybe i could do this from cmd with fastboot or something?) ive thought about trying to format the sd cards but im not sure how to do this especially since the internal one is also having troubles.
I would really appreciate help on this as i cant hardly do anything on this besides texts and phone calls right now!
Thanks for any help

Well, when you say you flashed a couple of roms.. the only rom at the time that would work with the new base was the stock rom that came with the RUU. Scott , then had the first rom with the new base. Using the old roms on the new base caused SD card issues that your describing , but I figured flashing Scott's rom would have fixed it . Easiest fix is if you backed up the stock rom that came with the RUU, if not only thing I can think of is to RUU again and start over. I know Dres is looking into this issue for Amon Ra in case the dev blocks changed , but until he does I would think reflashing RUU is the easiest suggestion.
Problem Solved
Thanks so much! I flashed the latest (that I could find) RUU 3.11.605.1 i got the boot.img and the stock rom out of the RUU and flashed them using fastboot and Amon Ra respectively. When I booted back up the sd cards were properly mounted and everything seems fixed. Thanks again for the quick helpful response!
Now, I still don't exactly understand what I did wrong. So let me try to get some things strait. So the latest RUU is the latest version of the leaked ROM (from HTC?) in question, ICS in our case. So whenever a new RUU is leaked all the developers build new roms on this RUU? and if i say, had been flashing roms from an old RUU, and then flashed a rom from a new RUU (maybe i also forgot to wipe things?) caused problems?
I'd just like to get a better idea of what the problem actually was, and why what i did fixed it. Hopefully someday i won't be so dependent on the great minds here on xda.
Thanks again for everything!
I'm in a similar boat.
I'm in a similar boat. I went straight from stock rooted gingerbread to CleanRom ICS and now I can't get the sd card to mount. CleanROM just kept rebooting over and over. I'm going to try the suggestion by the OP. Hopefully that fixes the problem.
I guess the dev block changed from the old base to the new. Amon ra is already updated. So when you Ruu again and ran the new stock it matched so fixed it. Just don't rum old roms or backups.

Go into my ICS thread or any of the ICS threads and download the patch to run the new build on the old firmware to fix the mounts
I have kind of similar issue. My phone storage and sdcard are swapped. I only rooter and installed AmonRa recovery. I put 9gb of music on my card, but in setting my card looks empty and my phone storage only has 80m left.
Any ideas?
Thanks
what firmware are u on... u probably need to flash the other amonr ra version if you are on 3.14 flash 3.15 or vice versa

[Q] Copy to SD card versus Copy to Root of SD card

Copying to the root of the sd card simply means not putting the item in a folder on the sd card.

Thanks, but the reason I asked this question is that in Method 4 of installing CleanRom 4.5, it states
•Copy ROM to SD Card AND PH98IMG.zip AND GB Firmware Patch to ROOT of SD Card
I thought whenever you reboot, it would automatically search for a PH98IMG file and would load that first.
In the CleanRom install, you flash the ROM, then the Patch in Recovery first, then flash the PH98IMG last. If the PH98IMG file is in the root of the SD card, won't it load that first?

If you have a rom with the quick reboot installed, boot right to recovery once you're done copying the files, otherwise download quick reboot from the market.
You'll only have issues trying to get into recovery if you're using the Vol - + power on boot up option.
Hi All, 1st post here and i hope i'm putting it where it should belong lol.
in any case my problem is similar,
I've unlocked thru HTC DEV, and was running stock GB on my Rezound from Verizon.
After combing through this forum for a few days i felt confident enough to try to flash my first ROM. (thanks to all the AMAZING guides BTW)
I picked up Vigor_Stock_Doedexed_3.14.605.5, PH98IMG, and the GB Firmware Patch.
I followed the Steps for Flashing with S-ON and GB Firmware and running Amon-Ra 3.15
Everything went according to plan (ROM Flashed, Patch Flashed) but the issue was when i went to reboot to flash the bootloader with the PH98IMG it wasn't able to locate it.
Upon a little more research I found an article that said HBOOT cannot read from the internal storage so I recovered to stock with my nandroid backup file, and placed the PH98IMG in the root of the external SD card.
Upon rebooting into HBOOT the PH98IMG was located and asked if i would like to install it. i selected "no" as per the guide i was following, however i was only left with the option to "power-down" and there wasn't anyway to get to the recovery menu to flash the ROM and the Patch in the order that they needed to be.
After fooling with the HBOOT menu a few more times to no avail i decided to select yes thinking (foolishly maybe) that this would let me get to the recovery menu and i could flash everything in the order it needed to be. However this was not the case, and now im left "soft bricked".
I pulled the External SD card, and was able to get to recovery mode and did a clean wipe. However the nandroid backup is also on the External SD card (i don't have a spare as i'm out of the country, probably my first mistake, and i dont have a USB micro SD adapter to remove the PH98IMG...)
Upon seeing this article i wish i had known about the quick reboot option (many thanks to mjones73 for that).
My first question is where does the PH98IMG file need to reside (root of internal or external SD)?
Secondly, what is the easiest way to remove the PH98IMG from external SD so i can recover my nandroid backup and try again? (i'm not opposed to running out and grabbing a micro SD -> USB adapter if that is the safest bet)
Lastly if there are any n00b mistakes in my approach please let me know lol
hopefully i haven't hijacked this thread or mis-posted. and again many many thanks for all the information and hard work from Devs and members alike!
EDIT: PROBLEM SOLVED!
So as i was sitting around pondering my dilemma it dawned on me... if i took out the External SD card, wiped and re flashed the ROM and GB patch, i could power down and reinstall External SD and that would force the boot loader to be flashed correctly and in order. welp, i'm happy to report that i've solved my own problem and hopefully i'll be able to contribute to this forum in the future.
thanks again!

Recovering Ex SD Card after failed S-Off?

Hey guys, I am hoping i can get some assistance on bringing my sd card back to life after failing to s-off my phone yesterday. After multiple fails on the wire-trick yesterday i called it quits and just flashed nils biz rom but i am now unable to format and mount the external sd card. I went through the steps outlined in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-1615418.html and i will get prompted in notifications that my SD card is damaged and needs to be fixed. I click ok and it wipes the card, then i get another notification and it will state that the file system is unsupported and i should reformat the card, which i do, and yet it still will not show up and work correctly.
Does anyone have any other thoughts or advice? Im running hboot 2.21.000 on GB FW, and running nils 4.6 with TWRP recovery.
I have heard that if you put it in a computer and format, it should work.
I have tried that and it did not work.

[Q] 2.13 base roms won't recognize media on sd card

I have been running Rejuvenated most recent rom which hasn't been updated to the 2.13 base yet. I have tried to upgrade to 3 different 2.13 roms and the kernel install from Flash GUI Image goes fine and the subsequent rom flash goes fine. However, none of the roms recognize and music or videos on my sd card. If I reflash the rejuv kernel and recover my nandroid of the rejuv rom, it recognizes the songs fine. What gives?!?! I am S-on for with 1.19 hboot for whatever that's worth.
What is your wiping procedure?

I run smw6180_superwipe a few times, then wipe dalvik/cache as well
Sometimes fix permissions helps, I don't see it helping in this case but it wouldn't hurt to try
I tried fixing permissions but no dice, I am not sure what else to do. I ultimately want to update but use my 16gb phone for an mp3 player so it is kinda essential.
Anybody else have problems with this or have any other ideas why none of the 2.13 base roms will recognize any music or videos on my sd card? If I transfer them to the internal memory, it will recognize them, but only about 75% of them. Please help!!
Someone!!?!? Anyone?!?!?! Please help!
This is a really tough one, usually the internal gets corrupted or someone is on aosp and hasn't switched mount points. Try going to settings/storage and unmount, take the card put and reinsert it. Sometimes if the card is removed before unmounting it won't be recognized.
This sucks.
I have the exact same problem!!! I've asked around and nobody has an answer for this. Nothing fixes it (fix permissions, use superwipe, don't use superwipe, mount/unmount the sd card). And since this is a problem that is only affecting a few of us, it's no getting the proper attentions. Its frustrating!!!!!:crying:
When u hook it up to a computer can u reformat your sd card? That sounds pretty lame. Has to be a way to get it to work. U try the rescan media app?
It's reading other files just not video and music? Does root explorer play them?

Reformatted the card twice. Didn't work. Got a new card and put the ringtones, music, video and pictures back....didn't work. Tried the Rescan media app....it didn't work either. And the files are all there. I can play the music tracks, ringtones and view my pics with Es file explorer, Astro or any other file explorer and/or root explorer. But the phone just won't recognize them. I'm telling you, I've tried everything.. All this started happening with the 2.13 upgrade. I've tried Mean, Viper, OMJ, Super LTE, Clean, Chubbs and I have the same problem with all of them. I'm S-OFF with 1.12. The only thing left is to return the phone to stock and reflash, but I'm afraid I'll loose root and S-off
You won't lose soff. Some people already ran ota and ruu and retained soff
Well, I'm charging my phone right now so I can flash the stock RUU. I just hope I don't lose either one (S-OFF & Root)
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
You will lose root after ruu but hboot will remain unlocked, you should be able to.flash recovery and flash another Rom or superuser to root the stock rom

Well.....I gave it shot. I flashed the Stock 2.13 RUU and The hboot relocked and updated to 1.19, but it kept the S-OFF. And the problem did not get solved. F****** great. Time to lose the phone or just take it back to the store.
As an aside, I inserted a different micro sd card (4gb) that I had laying around while I was running a 2.13 rom. It had a bunch of MP3s on it and the phone recognizes the music on it just fine. If I then reinsert the 16gb card that I originally had it, it won't recognize them, leading me to believe it is an issue with the card. I have tried to reformat using both the phone and mounting it to my pc but it doesn't seem to make a difference. As soon as I recover or flash back to an earlier base, it recognizes the music on my 16gb card, no problem. WTF gives??!?! I guess I could just get a different 16gb card and give it a try but you would think if the card was the issue, it would cause the issue on earlier bases as well.
Could be, flash media isn't very reliable, most cards are only good for something like 10,000 flashes and they can go out way before that

ES file explorer sees the files and can play them just fine. It is both music and videos that aren't recognized by the gallery or any media players. I tried the rescan media app, but no dice. I will try to reformat again to see if that works.
Having the same issue for a while now. I'm on Viper 1.0 which works fine but if I update to 2.0 then my media doesn't show up in the gallery except in root explorer. The card is good as I tried it in different phones. Same thing with Meanrom, on the older versions it works fine but when I update to the newest 4.8 it won't show anything outside root explorer. I'm S-ON so Idk if that has anything to do with it.
I just reformatted the card again and put everything back on the card and back into the phone running Viper 2.02. Still doesn't recognize the songs or videos on the card but ES File explorer does (the native file explorer included on Viper doesn't see them though...). Just to check, I moved all the songs from the SD card to the internal storage Music folder and it appears to find the media, except.... it won't find any music past artists starting with "S" This is so effing weird and I don't know what else to do I am pulling all my damn hair out!!!
