Have you tried it before? Good quality?

I wasn't aware of that. All the extended ones I have seen are larger and require a knew case ect...
If you Root your phone and get a good Rom battery life will not be an issue. Plus they have apps to help out with battery life as well.

1900mah as opposed to the 1750 stock. Brand is platinum which is made by siedio, a very reputable accessory company. I'm currently rocking the 3500mah battery, ya it makes the phone pretty big but I enjoy the freedom of not having to worry bout a charger.

With that battery, were you able to find a good protective case to fit the new bulge?

But i can literally get 2+ days of moderate use if I tried. I just tend to be on my phone a lot (dling roms, flashing, Googling) and with this battery I can do all that on the go and not have to worry about charging in car or at friends place. And this isn't even the largest mah battery they sell. They have a 4000mah cell that's just as big as this and would be a monster

the only reason I bought the 3500 is because I work at best buy and go a good discount on it, otherwise I would have bought the 4000

What ROM and kernel are you using? I've gotten better life with some of the ROM's I've flashed, but nowhere near what you are reporting, even with an extended battery.
This is the only battery I would use.
ALL of the aftermarket batteries are at 3.7v - and use lithium polymer - while the 3d requires a battery at 3.8. Another thing is the 6.57Whr rating which I HIGHLY doubt these aftermarket)read: cheap) batteries can provide...especially since the spec isnt listed on the retail sites Ive visited.
Always go official.

Hence the speculation. Its not like these generic battery manufacturers have better battery tech than the OEM suppliers.
Thanks everyone for the inputs I'm gonna try the chichitek for couple of days

Two OEM batteries are better than one huge, cheap extended battery. The devices aren't intended to run on a huge battery and recharging a large capacity battery in the phone is not ideal, technically.
But the aftermarket batteries will always use lower quality materials and worse craftsmanship than OEM.

[Q] Battery replacement - extended or original?

Hello people of xda, I have made a search on our forums but I couldn't find something similar, maybe I didn't make a good search. So if it is a double-post please forgive me.
My battery is draining too fast, sometimes I have to charge it two times in a day. I formatted the phone many times, I tried different roms and kernels but that wasn't the problem. I am thinking to buy a new battery for my Evo 3D GSM model. Which battery would you suggest me, an extended or an original battery? (for extended I prefer slim without the big back cover) Will I have problems with compatibility with the extended battery? If you could link me batteries too it will be helpful. Any thought will be good. Thanks in advance.
You have 3 choices if you don't want to change battery cover. For extended battery there is 1900mAh or 2450mAh "gold battery". Or you can get a stock replacement, because it sounds like your battery is bad.

wooops i missed the number it was almost 6
+1 on Anker. Great battery life for reasonable price and it's the same size as OEM battery so you don't need that ugly back cover
I ordered one Anker 1900mAh. Do you suggest any charging options? Discharge fully and make some cycles? Or any usage will be accepted? Thanks for your information.
