Bricked - Motorola Photon 4G

Phone is unlocked, the only thing it lets me do is power+vol down and I can install from SD card, i need a rom that doesnt use CW, any ideas?

You can get into cwm..? If you can then flash a ROM. If you can't then use fast boot to flash custom recovery

Hmm. Phone only seems to like one rom

So I recently flashed to aospish_jk2_v1.0. Works just fine. But I wanna goof around with some other roms. But when I try to flash to other roms or my previous stock backup, it goes into the recovery flashing screen for about 2 seconds. Then the phone restarts and I'm in recovery. When I reboot the phone I'm still on the same rom..what should I do? Try to use odin to flash another rom?

are you flashing though the clock work recovery? Is the recovery letters blue or green?
I've found the best way to go between roms is always Odin back to stock, then install the new rom. That seems to prevent most problems.

I used rom manager to flash. But when in recovery letters are blue and it says android system recovery. So I'm assuming clockwork recovery actually hasn't installed?

You need to open rom manager and flash the CW recovery... from rom manager then click on flash to CWR... it will take you to stock recovery, click on reinstall packages.
now you are at CWR and can flash new rom.
Ah. My problem was that I never flashed ce recovery properly. Thanks guys.

Rom manager wont flash clockwork recovery

So I just flashed my vivbrant balk too the stock rom using ODIN and following.the directions here on XDA. After flashing I installed my rom manager and rom manager premium key, and rooted my phone.
I pressed flash clockworkmod recovery, and tried to backup my rom. The phone just rebooted, I tried again, same thing happened, no backups show in rom manager, so I tried installing bionix final r1, (install from sd card) the phone shuts off and goes to the Stock recovery screen, then reboots.
What the heck is up with rom manager? Ive never had any problems with it before.
I even formated my phone and flashed AGAIN. I also tried older andbeta versions of clockworkmod. Please help! I need it!
Much appreciated.

boot loop into recovery?

Hey guys did the superoneclick root and i flashed clockwork mod, went into recovery the signature failed...but weird thing the power button doesn't select anything in recovery then when i pull the batt, and turn it on it goes right back into recover...almost like a boot loop any ideas?
Use heimdall or odin, flash recovery with that, boot straight into recovery where you have your rom of choice waiting as well as non stock kernel. Easiest and fastest way to get up and running

Help me! HTC logo screen is stuck

I am using cwm 5.8.0.9 touch and it wasnt able to flash any of my roms or kernels. i did a full wipe and now its derpham
Go back to the site and thread where you.DL the recovery. In the OP, it should have instructions on installing "the hard way." Don't be alarmed, its really not hard, just not SUPER easy... It's still very easy as long as you follow the instructions. You have to flash the recovery in fastboot

From there, you should be able to install zip from SD card and flash the ROM of choice. After you flash the ROM and it reboots, DON'T FORGET TO FLASH THE KERNEL if you want WiFi and BT to work

Have you rooted and unlocked the bootloader of your phone and installed CWM recovery?

you require a unlocked bootloader and a working clockworkmod recovery (you can use doomlords his recovery)
when your phone boots, press the volume up button and you'll enter recovery
press the install zip from sd card option and select the zip
simply press 'install it!' and you're done

Turn your fone off. Turn it back on and the bottom bar should light up and the led when the sony logo is on. When it does press volume up a good few times and it'll boot into recovery. In there chose flash zip file from sd option
Sent from my Xperia S on which The Kernel has been installed but he bought no chicken.....
