I'm bout to start using the interactive governor that was just introduced. Wanted to start a thread so we can share results.
[tip] charge battery after green light for atleast 2-3 hours. THEN wipe before you unplug with the fully charged batt. It will def. gain you battery life more than just 1 hour after green light... I think its because of the trickling mechanism that it turns into after it has so much charge in it. I do that now and It usually takes 2-3 hours with moderate usage to get down to 85% (auto brightness). that's with wifi and edge on (0% without signal bcuz of using edge)
if battery is not at 4197mv it's not fully charged. =p GL
I just updated to cm6rc2 for this kernel... yesterday i got 12.5 hrs battery before it died. hopefully this will do even better
I'm at 79% battery after 4 hours and 30 minutes with moderate usage on 2.6.34.1 RC2 kernel. It's not bad, I ordered an extended battery a few days ago and should be coming in tomorrow or Wednesday. I hope the battery life makes up for the ugliness.
Bryuliroooooo
yeah my theme nexblue v8 wasn't workin with rc2 so iwent back to the 713 nightly ... i mean i got it workin buttery smooth already so its good money right now knamean... gotta tell that bryuliro cuzz to make a rc2 version so i can test it out... AND THIS IS FOR INTERACTIVE GOVERNOR TEST NOT JUST BATTERY. PLEASE BE USING INTERACTIVE GOVERNOR FOUND IN LATEST IR KERNEL

i'm not familiar with what this interactive governer battery thing is. is it some app or system function i can use?
also, the OP says to get up to 4.197 volts, but the highest i can ever get up to is 4.172 volts. this is even after charging for 8 hours, then dumping the dmesg and sorting thru all the results. never went above 4172 mV...

He wouldn't have to if you'd have actually read the thread and title.

using the method i described in my 1st post you can get over the 4172 .
the interactive governor setting is in SetCPU the overclocking program, even if u don't oc u can change this. to me it seems really stable and noticeably snappier. the phone feels iphone-ish smooth now. before it was really smooth but i can tell a difference now
meh..
3 h 49 min. - 64% battery. Mod. - Heavy usage.
i don't think i charged it past the green light long enough tho
10 h 15m - 10% - died.
not too, too bad, but i had background data and auto-sync on alot today
Day 2 Testing
Day 2 of testing. Background data off (forgot last time).
Start - 100% , 4197mv
2h 56 min. - 85% battery, 4035mv, moderate use, some calls, text, emails, lookin on xda, tryin to get psx emu .... about 50 min. of music too
8h 24 min. - 57% battery, 3835 mv phone still feels mad snappy ... like a fresh reboot... u guys should test this out, i use alot of widgets too... i'll do some shootme in here later
9h 46 min. - 45% battery, still feels like fresh reboot. Installed and unistalled several apps/widgets from market and everything... Been using wifi for market... turning background data off.
11h 1m. - 35%... then i put it on the charger for the night for some youtube and overnight charging while off. nice work devs.... niiiiiiice
After flashing to GSB (GingerShedBread) v1.9 CM7.0.0-RC1 my battery seems to be draining real fast not sure why . It has been fine on all other releases of this build i checked the battery stat's and it shows display as using 74 percent of battery usage but i have tweaked it like i always do to consume less has always worked before not sure what the problem is. Anyone else have this problem..

I wouldn't describe myself having a problem with either GSB (2.0 now) or GBT. I've been playing with my phone so much since starting with Gingerbread, that I know that's the reason I sometimes have to charge more than once a day.
I noticed my battery draining fast with not much use so I recalibrated my battery and now have amazing life

The last two releases of both GSB and GBT have had amazing battery life for me... maybe reflash?
Sent from my phone, duh
It may be time to recalibrate your battery.
Powered by: GSB CM7
I have (finally) just made the jump to CM7 and have been absolutely loving it (MAJOR props to the Devs for it).
Anyways, one thing I have noticed is that the battery drain when the screen is on 'feels' like it is faster than it used to be on deblurred roms.
I am running Faux's 1.3 ghz overclock kernel (.2.1) and have it moderately undervolted (as I am still getting a feel for undervolting in CM7).
On my previous rom, Alen v4, I was running the same version of Faux's kernel (obviously not the cm-specific one), and was undervolting as well (though to a lesser degree, as it seems that CM7 is better for undervolting). I never timed the drain on this rom, but I could have sworn that I got an hour of screen time for every 10-12% of the battery.
Anyways, the battery seems to be draining at about 1% for every 3-4 minutes (average time over a 10% period was 3 minutes, 40 seconds per percent) of screen-on time when I am only using it lightly (I was reading the news and browsing Facebook a bit during this time).
My drain when idle seems very reasonable.
Does this seem abnormal, or am I just being overly paranoid about battery life?
In practice, I think this is still going to be fine, as I never have the screen on for more than two or three hours in any given day...I am just curious as to how the drain I am experiencing relates to anyone else's.
Thanks!
(and yes, my battery is fairly well calibrated. Was 'fully charged' this morning at 99% at 4169 mv...not perfect, but still solid).
Edit: And yes, I know I am breaking xploited's fifth rule of battery life...
The only thing I can think of is that you are overclocked all the time.. or have something running in the back ground all the time.

Can someone please check my battery usage for this phone, I think something seems to be draining it.
Over 10 hours I've seen a drain of 7% which doesn't seem TOO bad,
but could someone take a look at these screenshots too?
I mainly use WhatsApp quite a bit, and the occasional websurfing. At home, my signal strength is perfect. I'm connected to WiFi sometimes and my WIFI sleep policy is set to 'Never' too.
I've also underclocked and undervolted the phone, even with MagicConfig and I'm also using Supercharger V6. I don't think there's anything else I could do to improve the battery, yet it is still somewhat disappointing
At 50% battery life, it has 2 hours 20 mins screen time too
I'm using CheckROM V6, with N.E.A.K 1.4.2, conservative 200-800mhz.
Would it be worth upgrading to ICS?
Thanks in advance

Have a look at BetterBatteryStats thread here => http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809
Install BBS app and post the stats file there to get propper help.
But 7% in about 10 hours is quite good IMO.
Here are some good battery savings tips => http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=16973603
I'm using combination like my signature says; performed 1 phone call and sent 6 SMS & 9h on battery = 100% at the moment. I think Siyah is the best for battery life
Hi All
I have been looking the last 2 weeks at some JB roms to actually look at some of the features and options that's available in JB. Being curious I started of by testing some of the Roms and for some reason the battery life on all of them have been equally as bad
From all the JB roms I have tested the best I could do was get almost a day out of them and that on the Samsung extended battery.
Roms:
Resurection Remix 3.1.0
Paranoidrom 2.52
Revolt JB 2.6
Supernexus Build 5
Xtreme CM10 1.6 Pure
Xtreme JB 1.8
Xtreme 2.0a (Currently on this one)
Now as you can see I tested a lot of different JB variants from different authors and seeing as I have my own Rom out on 4.0.4 I get 3 days without turning anything down or off running full 3g ext
My setup is very straightforward. Have Google sync all my contacts (150 +-) and then use FriendCaster to sync my facebook details and contacts. I setup Google Now as well to only provide driving suggestions and Weather on the cards and turned all the others off and only using Wireless GPS .. Not the full GPS.
Other than that I tried the Dorimax kernel with all of them and Siyah's latest 5.0i and the results on battery life is identical.
Unplugged it at 23:45 last night. Woke up at 6am and the battery was at 92% "Deep sleep"
Got to work and received like 4 messages in total and at 11:30 battery is at 65% with low to no usage at all. Google now has already been turned off completely and there is no applications open or running in the background that's showing up on the task manager.
Usage on Batter shows as follows. Screen 36% at 20 min, Cell Standby on 23% at 6 hours.
CPU spy shows that the phone was in deep sleep for 3 hours of the 6 since leaving home and 1 and a half hours on 200mhz
Does anyone have any suggestions as I am seriously getting cheesed off with the very poor battery life on practically any JB rom?
Just checked now. Friend caster inst even setup yet. So this would mean that its just Google Now and the JB OS.
Ok so I presume no one is experiencing any bad battery life with any JB roms?
do you known "BetterBatteryStats" ? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809. You can show what is draining your battery.
