No more rumors, the expected storage service Google's cloud is a reality. Few minutes ago has just been introduced in partnership Google Drive, and today is already operating for the benefit of users.
Google Drive is betting the company's search engine for storage in the cloud that is released by the official application for Android and more platforms. A desktop app is also available.
Google Drive is now the central space of our Google account to create, share, collaborate and store our files. We can store and sync our documents, photos, videos, etc. with all our devices. Google Docs has revolutionized the way we collaborate with our documents - Drive will make this all files.
Finally Google Drive offers 5GB of free storage to users, but if that space you can always expand the quota to 25 GB for $2.50 per month, 100 GB for $4.99 a month or even 1 TB for $49.99 per month.
GOOGLE DRIVE
Version 1.0.77
Android Target Version: 2.2 and up.
Developer: Google, Inc.
Download it at: Google Play Store
Cost: Free

I can download and use it on my tablet, but on my desktop it still says that they will email me when it's available

I'm just like you !

We can't sync the image folder like with dropbox ?

Though cheap, it still needs some improvements. Gonna stick with Dropbox for now.

Yes, I think it will get better quickly and that external tools will emerge

The service acts almost identical to MotoCast in that it takes minutes to setup on each of your computers and is then instantly accessible on your phone or tablet over WiFi or data. It defaults to pulling in your music, pictures, videos and documents folders from your computer, but adding in additional locations is super easy. It also has this “recent” section that recognizes a handful of your most recently added computer files, just in case you need to access one immediately.
No more pre-planning what files to sync to the cloud. No storage limits. With Polkast, all of your files are available to you whenever you need them, no matter where you are – across the room or across the world.
Because we let your devices communicate directly and securely over local networks, you get almost instantaneous downloads. Fetch a 1GB video in minutes not hours.
Features
• Search through thousands of computer files instantaneously while on the go.
• Transfer files, photos, and videos directly between devices over the air.
• Send files from your computer using your mobile phone or tablet as a remote control. Great for large home video files!
• Post photos to Facebook, even if you don’t have them on your mobile.
• View your docs and photos, play video from any of your devices, anywhere.
• Save files back to your computer when you modify them on the mobile.
• Secure your files through a protected password and SSL encryption–the same methods used by banks and the military. None of your files are kept in some online Internet storage site.

Flipboard, an iOS exclusive for several months, was officially released for Android early Friday morning. The beta release came out earlier in May following an apk leak of the exclusive Samsung S III application. To this day, I'm not sure if this leak was a planned bit of genius from the Flipboard team or not. but here is the feature list including what's new in its first official release to Android:
Be amazed by what you see when everything people are sharing, collecting and publishing in every moment comes together in a single place.
Search for anything—people, topics, hashtags, blogs, your favorite sites—and flip through articles, updates, photos and videos in a beautiful magazine format.
Connect Flipboard to 12 social networks, streamlining your reading and activities like commenting, liking and sharing. Services include Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Google+, YouTube, Google Reader, LinkedIn, Flickr, 500px, Sina Weibo and Renren.
Get a quick dose of what’s happening now, in Cover Stories, a constantly updated selection of articles, photos and videos shared by your friends.
Save anything to read later using Instapaper, Pocket and Readability.
Create a Flipboard account to access your favorite content and social networks on different or shared devices.
Enjoy Flipboard in 14 localized editions—for Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Korea, Netherlands, Spain, Taiwan, U.S. and U.K.
Explore hundreds of staff picks in the Content Guide, including must-read magazines and blogs, gorgeous photography and special curated sections devoted to the news of the day and other topics of interest.
Access Flipboard quickly through the widget.
With the full release, Flipboard can now access Google Plus and Youtube. Google Plus, up to now, had been limiting the partners in which sufficient API was released allowing third parties access to their feeds. Upon receiving the update from the Play Store, I immediately added both feeds.
The Google Plus feed is quite breathtaking on Flipboard. It will even rival the native Google Plus application on Android in style and function. I did have some lag in getting updates, but that's to be expected from this early of a release and potentially a lot of pulls from Google's API. YouTube also worked well, feeding me my subscriptions and video worked well in my first few tests. The challenge now for content publishers is to make their material shine within Flipboard. I do believe this will become a popular application within the entire web ecosystem.
There were questions about receiving the update. I've linked directly to the Google Play Store below. The app itself will not push an update at this time, but by going to the Play Store, one should be able to see the update there. It is reported to be heading out to other markets as well, so a quick search should suffice. Once updated, users will be able to add Google Plus and YouTube to their pull list under the My Account section.
What are your thoughts on the updated release of Google Plus? In my very humble opinion, this rivals any magazine style news reader anywhere and is a great addition to the Android platform with widget support.

Canva on HMS vs on GMS

Canva on HMS vs on GMS
With over 100,000,000 downloads, the Canva app is one of the most popular photo and video editing apps. It is designed to be used by anyone who wants to improve their photos or put together a video using their powerful editing tools. Use templates for specific social media platforms like Instagram, Pinterest, or Facebook. This app will be able to crop your photo/video appropriately and export it in the correct resolution. It's an easy way to spice up your social media posts.
Traditionally Canva has only been available on GMS phones, through the Google Play store. Now you can download Canva for HMS phones with the Huawei AppGallery. This brings the app to more users on more platforms. So how do the two versions of this app compare? Let's take a look.
Canva on GMS
Opening the app after a fresh install will bring you to the login screen. Since this app is the GMS version, you have the option to log in with your Google account. You can also log in via email and a few other options.

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Once you're in the app, you'll be shown the main page where you can browse templates for different types of social media. It's very easy to get started with new projects and quickly create media that matches your brand or aesthetic.
A premium subscription to the app unlocks a bunch of features. You can pay $12.99 a month, or $119.99 a year for these paid features. There is an option to try Canva Pro for 14 days.
Canva on HMS
To use the HMS version of Canva, you can download it for free from the Huawei AppGallery. Once you launch the app, you'll run into your first glitch which is a result of converting the app from GMS to HMS. A message will appear that says "Canva won't run without Google Play services, which are not supported by your device". This message can be ignored, and you can continue to log in via email. However, the lack of GMS does seem to cause further issues with other features in this app.
Once you are logged in and find yourself on the main screen, you can select a template to start a new project. Unfortunately, this is where the next issue comes up. When trying to create a project from a template, you are shown an error that says "You are offline. We are unable to reach Canva. Please check your network settings and try again."
The last section where you'll run into errors is trying to use the premium subscription service. This requires GMS to manage your payments, so it cannot be accessed.
So even though Canva is available on the Huawei AppGallery, the app doesn't seem ready for HMS users. Hopefully, updates in the future will fix this.

We here for you

Flapp on HMS Vs. GMS

Flapp on HMS Vs. GMSFlapp is a very capable travel app, that will help you find hotels, flights, car rentals, or bus routes. It's an all-in-one solution for making your travel plans much easier. Explorer new places to visit, or track your current planned trips. The app is available for free on the Google Play store for anyone with a GMS phone. Users that have an HMS phone can get the app from the Huawei AppGallery. The two different apps have quite a few differences, so let's take a look at how Flapp took advantage of HMS Core development, to bring the app to Huawei users.Flapp on GMSTo set up your Flapp account, you can use your Google or Facebook account. The GMS version of this app opens to the explore page. From this page, you can see exclusive deals and important travel info. At the top, you have options to look for flights, hotels, car rentals, and busses. The bottom of the explore page has more navigation to access trip data, favorites, and your personal profile.

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
More features can be accessed through the menu in the top left. This will bring you to some useful tools like Currency and Country selection.Flapp on HMSThe HMS version of this app has been redesigned from the ground up. To set up your account, you will be able to use Facebook or Twitter. Google is not available due to the lack of GMS, but other social media logins aren't affected.Instead of opening the app to the explore page, you will see the flight search page. Car rentals are also available from the "more" menu. Many of the features from the GMS version of this app are missing, like bus routes. There is a section for hotel searches, but that results in a "page not found" error.
The flights section works well on the HMS version of this app. If you want to use it as your all-in-one travel app, you'll probably want to wait until some of the current bugs are worked out.
Here we go
Very interesting.
its very interesting, how can we handle the support plugins like google map API, HMS MAP API etc..
can you explain.
So, I am intrigued by the fact that all of these HUAWEI related posts are linked to a give away contest for a Google Pixel phone
