I just flashed the leedroid rom. Before this on mobile data my status bar indicator for data would switch between 4g/3g/h. now its only between 3g/h. Does anyone know the original rogers APN settings which came stock on the phone? And I know the evo 3d is not a 4g phone im just assuming that 4g designation is similar to lte or something. Which means faster browsing for all.

Probably your aircard 803s is connected to Wimax for those speed.
You don't have LTE in your area so your phone is stuck on sprints horrible horrible 3g. The Aircard is on sprints WiMAX.

So I just got the Deepshining ROM installed on my TMobile Radar 4G (USA)
Have a question about the flashed radio... is it only 3G? Before I flashed the radio and ROM I used to always get 4G (and sometimes 2G). Now, I am spending a big chunk of my time at "3G".
The phone doesn't seem to be slower, so I don't know if it is just branding, or what? Any experience on this?
Also, I did change the settings to make the radio, "North America".

Haven't experienced it. I have an H on my status bar right now and also on Deep Shining.
Did you mess with any other settings after installing?
It's just branding. T-Mobile changed both the 3G and H indicators to 4G. The custom ROM you installed probably has the standard 3G/H ones instead.
I changed another setting on the phone somewhere to display 3G+ as 4G. Now, I am occasionally seeing a "4G" status.
But, it really doesn't matter. Speeds seem good, and seems to be all branding anyway.
Awesome, awesome ROM!!
just to give some extra info Radar got an 3G antenna and Radar 4G got an 4G antenna and that thingy next to your connection bar doesnt show the actual antenna but just a string from the registry or somewhere in the rom i got an radar and a radar 4g rom and it show 4G but I still got 3G connection
This may be a lame question, but if 4G becomes active in my area, is there anything i need to do? or will the 4G notification just turn on when a signal is detected?

Its not lame, its how you learn. In theory, no.
There are settings for CDMA and LTE under the mobile networks area so assuming you are set to CDMA / LTE, running stock and you are close enough to a LTE tower you should switch to LTE automatically. If you search there are a number of tweaks and additional settings also available in case you aren't successful.
If you never change your mobile network mode from cdma/lte in your settings then it should automatically connect if you ever get lte in your city.
The above posters answered the question, but if you would like to know more about when LTE might be available in your area head on over to www.s4gru.com

so i don't really know alot about the CDMA/LTE stuff... but on the original Evo the 4G was on the CDMA network correct? The New EVO just has 4G on the LTE network? Meaning if i was able to pick up 4G in my area with the original EVO i won't be able to get 4G with my new EVO LTE until they add LTE in the area?
am I understanding this correct?
Correct, 4g was on the wimax network, now 4g is lte. Wimax is still available, it will eventually be phased out.
That sucks... I live in bumf so doubt I'll have LTE anytime soon... But at least this phone is still awesome

Hi,
I have my HTC EVO 4G LTE flashed to Virgin mobile. Can send receive calls and text but nothing else.
Anyone have any settings they could point me to? I tried every guide I could find (cant find one specifically for the evo 4g lte for virgin mobile though).
None of the settings CDMA data /mobile ip seem to make a difference.
Thanks.
I have an evo 3d that does not have any service and it shows roaming and I was wondering if anyone had the sprint modems, i dont know if thats what its called, but i think i flashed the verizon modems. could someone post sprints and how to flash it??
