I've seen in various benchmark tests for XS the result varies due to various customised reasons... But I've seen sd card read and write speed vary too!
How is this possible?
I mean don't all XS come with same sd class?
IDK

They don't come with ANY SD card at all. It's all built-in memory.

I know that... What I'm asking is about the read write speed variation in benchmarks test.

Could depend on the version of the benchmark, the version of the OS (preproduction, .62, .67, .73 etc)
Too many variables to say.

No. Use app2sd, link2sd or whatever similar. (Read the sticky posts.)

Then let him get a bigger SD card. No, there is no manual fix for limited RAM, it is impossible to fix it except by soldering more chips on the PCB. Use SD card for storage/cache; read the sticky posts and threads linked there.
Hey guys! Basically I've seen people saying that they're on ext.2,ext.3 or ext.4! But what is the main thing that helps to give you more internal space for apps? Is it the swap size or? For example, when I enter into recovery and press partition sd card, which is the most important part of partitioning that will give me more space for apps?
Sent from my Optimus One on CM7 O'C to 768mhz!
The most important stuff is the ext partition's size. Swap is not needed, useless waist of spare space.

So basically in the recovery menu, after I chose swap as '0' , how many mb should ext.2 be?
Sent from my Optimus One on CM7 O'C to 768mhz!
I usually do 512MB, don't forget to backup SD before partition.

What will happen if I do lower or higher? I believe there's 1GB or 384mb?

Hmmm? You will have less or more space on the partition. Does not sound exactly like rocket science.
just use what you believe will be required as 1024 mb works and even 512 mb it depends on the amount of app and games u will be using
So what is the best ext.2 size if I want to install more apps?

Christ. Bigger partition - more space for your apps. Smaller partition - less space for your apps. If you do not understand, then:
more money - more goods you can buy
less money - less goods you can buy
If you still do not understand, well... better luck in next life. (In case you believe in reincarnation )
Just Partitione my SD Card, I lost some of my downdloads cant see them

EDIT: Ran it again and scored a 7427 but my SD read/write numbers where the same!
Well after downloading SD Speed Increase app I got these results. The first time however Antutu crashed and my phone rebooted. Not sure if it's because I'm overclocked. I cleared data under manage apps and it ran.

why do we need a new benchmark thread every 10 days or so
j/k
but seriously ...why
over 9000
You guys make a good arguement why I should go with an OC Rom.
Still on stock, guess I wanted to wait for ICS and see what could be done there.

I think I'm going to start a thread for people to post their notes benchmarks whether it's unlocked or not. Just to compare results.
Hopefully it'll get stickied.

For the exact reason I stated. there are at least 5 other benchmark threads....why the occasional "oh i will start a benchmark thread, i bet no one else has done it" is mind boggling.
It's rule number 1....

You bumped a year old thread to submit your completely arbitrary number which has no real reflection on your phone's UI responsiveness?
That's something, I guess.

Google say it can be done but phone since they using Exfat it means Samsung have to put some more effort into making it work, but Samsung decided they not gonna bother even though they have on other phones it is completely Samsung's fault.

That is not totally correct.Google stopped the external SD support and Samsung tried a workaround and can be done.
exfat is a supported conversion on our phone but not standard.
U can flash this to be able to move apps to SD. But u need to convert it to fat32
I was actually looking for a solution too. But its sad that I need to use fat32. I prefer ExFAT so that I can store high def movies on my External SD card. Hope theres a solution for those who use the ExFAT file system soon.
U r Big m8, i did what u said, just flashed the mod and now my memory card is showing as sd,not extsd, im very happy guy right now! Thanks for answer everybody!!!

i didn't see any priors threads to this so i am asking is this possible i don't see any options in the app managment section and app2sd card pro didn't work do custom roms have this if so i will be rooting asap. EDIT: Looks like i have found a way around it those of you interested in moving big data to sd card, app does require root but works flawlessly in my experience so far http://market.android.com/search?q=pname:com.slf.ListglApp

It is there you may not have searched with the correct terms.
Apps2sd hasn't really worked in a while on a lot of phones. Least that I have owned.
If you flash a custom ROM you can do an SD card swap. So if you had a 32GB mem card it would become your "internal" and your 16GB would become the "external"

Though I haven't tried it yet, there are reports that directory bind works on the note 2 in a similar fashion. I hope this is true because the nand in the phone is much quicker than a card.

I can confirm that Directory Bind does work providing you're on a non-4.2 rom. Android 4.2's new multi-user feature causes Directory Bind to not properly mount apps to the external SD card.
Anyway, here's the link if you're interested. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1410262

meaning anthing works so assuming stock jb rooted will work fine this will solve so many problems for me as my internal is already full
And that's what chaps my hid about our devices... In my apple days I hated deleting things to make room ... android could set themselves so far apart from them with expandable storage and they don't use it as they should

exactly is this a os limitation is this somethjing possibly that some of our devs can work out in the future and do other newer devices have this issue or is it just the note 2?
