I want to know if there are other international devices OTHER than Italy or European Build YP-G70's that received the 2.3.6 ROM OFFICIALLY through KIES, as I'm planning to make the switch from ICS back to GB due to lack of features that proved essential in the long-run.
Can someone please reply to this? And if anyone's wondering, I just want to stick back to ORIGINAL ROM for stability reasons.
I don't know whether it helps, but in germany, we officially have the 2.3.6 rom ;-)
In Hungary we have it too.

In Brazil we are on 2.3.5, although we have brazilian portuguese in EU 2.3.6. Nice!

According to this page: http://www.htc.com/europe/support.aspx, there will be three different versions of the official Android 2.1 update.
The new Build number after the update will be 2.73.405.93 (EU); 2.73.405.94 (Nordic) & 2.73.405.95 (Greece/ Ireland).

I'm assuming each version will just have different languages but... why would Ireland not be part of the usual EU update? People here in Ireland speak English, so you'd expect the software to be the same as used by the UK. (I very much doubt HTC have translated Android into Irish!)
Are there regional technical differences? Can anyone think of any reasons why Ireland would share a ROM with Greece?
Bump?
Anyone have any ideas about this?
No idea why, but I tried it in the UK and ended up with the .95 version! I had been on the rooted 2.73.405.66, set my date forward and got the update. But it didn't seem to offer much at the moment, so I went back to my old rooted .66!

Hi, I tried flashing a couple of ICS stock roms and the quick launch camera bug just ruins the day for me. What is the best Stock/Generic Gingerbread Rom for use in the United States? And if you can link me to the thread that has it, that will be much appreciated.
Thank you in advance

Hello dude, I live in Brazil, you can safely install an European ROM on your device it will all work perfectly. I personally tested the Spanish version and it is 100%. Now I'm testing the ROM from the Nordic countries.
It is recommended to first upgrade to version 4.0.3 Brazilian, and then upgrade to version 4.2.1 Europe. There are tutorials in English here on xda, and Brazilian Portuguese in forums like the smartzone.com.br.
Sorry for my English!

Get 4.0.3 if on 4.0.4 or flash siyah kernel v5 to avoid brickbug, no need for brazilian ROM before JB.
And yeah, don't worry about the regions/countries the ROM is destinated to, the baseband is LS6 so it's international.
