try to copy the zip files in the root directory in the internal SD card not the external SD card. install themes directly from Foxhound updater!

Help for a newbie with CWM

Hey guys, I recently got the Galaxy SII. Its rooted running Android 2.3.5 GINGERBREAD.DUKJ1.
My issue is trying to run ZIP files from my SD card using ClockWorkMod. I put the files into the SD card root folder and then boot into CWM. When I go run zip file from SD card there is nothing there. CWM cant see any of my files.
I have sucessfully booted ZIPS by placing them in the Phone folder instead of the SD card folder. If I go into My files and then under sdcard/external_sd I can see the file I put on there. CWM just refuses to see these files. When I connect my phone I see 2 folders, Card and Phone. I am putting these zip files in Card. I assume this is correct? Can anyone help?
Cheers
mount ur int sd card
Thanks for the reply, while waiting for a reply I unmounted the SD card, formatted it and then remounted it. I dropped another zip file, once again made sure I could see it in file manager and it was there. Booted in CWM, went to install zip file, went to ext_sd folder and it still says no file found. Under storage the SD card is listed there. Any ideas?

Sounds like you are using version 4.x of CWM, this does not support native updating from dual memory (So it only ever looks at phone memory, while you can manually mount and then update it's not as simple a process and often steps get forgotten)... if you just update to the newer CWM you will see another option appear on the list (apply update from internal memory)... making it much clearer and easier to update. (Or just use your phone memory to hold the zip files, it really doesn't matter that much)
I think you are right, it says v4.0.0.2. Would someone be kind enough to point me to where the latest version is?
Edit- nevermind I think I found it.
Thanks guys

This question is not relevant, as he is referring to Recovery Mode. (Debugging is only optional through normal OS, and can not be changed in recovery without rebuilding the kernel)
Everything is all good guys, the new version of CWM allows me to boot from my SD card and it installed ICS perfect. Thanks again

[Q] Question about Simplistic RC1.1 ~A SuperLite ROM~

I dl'd the rom today and installed on my SD card. I then extract the boot.img file from the PH98.img and flashed it via fastboot. When I went ot install the rom I got an SD card error (Status 6). I removed the sd card deleted the rom and placed the dl'd copy back on my SD card. I got the same error. Any help out there? Do I need to use the PH98.img?
Also. does anyone know if the MMS works in this app?
Not to put down the work of anyone, but with the number of Sense ICS ROMs out right now that are stable I would be a little leery of this one. Trying to develop a ROM and make it stable without having the device the ROM is for is a tricky proposition. There's only so much you can do in the terminal without being able to account for hardware inconsistencies. Just my two cents. It sounds like the PH is intended to install the boot.img automatically. Have you had any other issues with your SD?
No other issues with the SD card. Am I wrong in thinking that extracting the boot.img and loading via fastboot accomplishes the same as allowing the phone to load the PH img?

[Q] Restoring Nook Tablet 16GB to the Original Stock OS :HELP:

I rooted my nook tablet 16GB to 2.3 first and then installed android 4.0. But now I really need to get it back to its original state because I need that microphone and other stuff working.
Anyway, here I am stuck on the CWM-Based Recovery v5.5.0.4. It wouldn't let me install any zip file that I put it on my microSD card. It also says that the image file is corrupt when I choose to install from the card.
Is there anyone who can help me get back to the original OS of Nook from my current Android 4.0 OS?
additional info
It looks like the CM9 (cyagon mod 9) has taken over of my tablet completely. It doesn't allow any other external images to get mounted. Also it wouldn't let me install firmware in any .zip file. Is there any expert who can help me out?

[Q] Face unlock on passion rom

Hi I'm new here but I am familiar with roms and all the technical stuff and I just flashed the 13.1 version of the passion build for my vibrant. I was wondering if the face unlock works and how to get it. Also to flash rooms and mods can I just download the said zip and use astro or es file explorer so I can put it at the root of my internal SD card because I don't have a converter for the micro SD and I rooted and flashed with AIO 2.5 for my vibrant.
You need to mod the vibrant to have a front facing camera, then later download the file for it. You can put it at the root of the internal sd, but why not just transfer it from the computer and transfer it there?
