Everytime I try to use my camcorder and hit the record button it force closes. Its happened on Gingerbreak and Killasense, both with the new base. Any idea how to fix it?

Killasense is kernel related. The other ROM is probably having the same issue. You'll just have to wait for a kernel update or try another ROM.

Any Rom on the new base with leankernel 6.1.0 will have this problem. I have brought the issue to Imoseyon's attention and he is looking into it.

A restart temporarily fixes it but then it goes back to not opening. Anyone else having this issue? I'm running the unrooted Sense ICS leak.

Try clearing the application data in Settings > Apps.

I actuality turned the face unlock feature off and now it's good to go!

Okay. I know that in general the thunderbolts GPS isn't the best, but my phone is being a b!tch. I can't get a lock for more then a day on any rom.

killa sense 3.7
Never had gps issue with that rom. There is a gps patch in the dev threads, may want to try that.

Did I do something wrong?am I the only one? My rez is s-on and gb firmware. Running sense 4 ics Rom. I do have the patch installed. My problem is ,my rez keeps dropping its data connection in well serviced area's. Anybody know what I can do to fix this? Also I'd like to add , a reboot usually fixes it for a short while.
Thanks.

Did you install the s-on kernel?
Yup, I did. I even wiped and flashed again. But say I didn't, wouldn't it not work at all? These data drops seem pretty random . It's not all the time just maybe 4 -5 times a day .Also ,I don't know if it matters I downloaded it straight to my phone and copied to root of sd card. I dunno if it's just me and not a common problem I'll flash again, this time I'll dl to pc first. .

My phone was doing that too a lot, and it didn't seem to matter what ROM I was on. Switch to another ROM to see if it still happens. If it doesn't it's a problem with Nils BS4 otherwise your phone is ****ed. Return it.
I have had it happen to me once on viperRez. Hot reboot fixed it. I haven't had it happen on nils sense4 Rom. I would suggest updating to ics firmware.

Mime was doing this. I fixed mine by running the latest ruu, factory reset in hboot, flash amon ra, then my Rom again

YES, factory reset in hboot with stock recovery is important. :highfive:
I flashed the latest Mac Kernel after running this Rom for a few days and after flashing kernel every time phone boots it does 'hands free activation' 'PRL update' and firmware check. Its not a big deal but just wondering if anyone knows why it didn't happen before switching kernels. Thanks.

mikes latest kernel should resolve that, if he applied the fix Chad gave them.
(Them as in mike and coolexe)
That is the kernel I flashed. Its just anoying brcause my evo has the reboot issue and it dors it every time

Or is that update thing just a known issue with the kernel?

Hey guys...
I'm running Gingeritis 3D v1.2 with Ziggy's kernel.
What's the best settings to get better and longer battery life?
Sent from my ADR6400L using xda premium
Use imos kernel, 1024 max ,smartass governorv2 and undervolt -75 all across the board if possible.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
Should it work fine with Gingeritis 3D?
I've actually never flashed a kernel... so if I do flash this kernel, will it remain there even after I change to another ROM?
Sent from my ADR6400L using xda premium
If you change roms you'll change kernels unless you are using a Rom that has the same kernel. It's not like radios. It's easy to flash just wipe caches and flash the kernel in recovery.

My current ROM, Gingeritis 3D v1.2, is a sense based ROM that came with Ziggys kernel. So because my ROM is sense based, I must find the most recent kernel by Imoseyon that is a GB/Sense kernel... correct?
Can you help me verify that this is the correct and most recent kernel available that is compatible with Gingeritis 3D v1.2?

Thanks a lot for you help man.
You always seem to help me.
Try version 6.1. It's based off of 605.9 so it should work just fine.

Okay, thanks man. Flashing it shortly.

Flashed and phone runs nicely so far.
I'll get back at a later date to report battery life.
Thanks so much man!

You're welcome. Glad its working out so far.

Very noticeable battery life difference.
So far I am running your recommended 1024000MHz max and 245760MHz min on the smartassv2 governor.
Across the board right now I am actually -125 and it still runs perfectly. May keep dropping it as long as it can handle without freezing, or is this bad?

It isn't bad just remember not to check apply at boot so that if you get a reboot it doesn't get stuck at that voltage.
