Hi,
I am used to use Reader HD on my Transformer Prime (ICS) daily for reading RSS. Now I tried several other RSS readers and found out that Reader HD hs a biiig problem with displaying pictures and videos. More that half of them aren't displayed and some of the youtube videos cannot be played. Do you think that is a bug? When I use e.g.g gReader it displays everything right in the RSS articles - pictures, videos, in text, at the end of the text. Really great..... I would like to use Reader HD because it is really nice graphics, smooth and mainly it is not so graphicly pent-up!!!

Well I don't like the stock multimedia app timescape at all. It is terribly slow and stuffed with useless random sorting of things like "most viewed" "most recent". Who uses these anyways? They don't even have a widget for the music player!
I am using power amp for music, quickpic for photos (I know it's only got like 10000 to 50000 downloads, but it is simple and it works! God, this is all I ever wanted. Btw this awesome thing has multiple picture sharing which is cool).
Once I abandoned music and picture in Mediascape, it is pointless to use it for video only. I don't watch movies or anything with my phone, but I do shoot a LOT of hd videos and want access to them as quickly and easily as possible. I've been trying out quite a few softwares from the market but none of them serve my purpose. Any suggestions? Comments?
i use the stock gallery for pics, winamp for music.
I use RockPlayer for watching movies and mediascape for watching the recorded HD videos.. PowerAmp for music because it is simply the best with FLAC codec support.. Gallery for pictures..
Tried rockplayer already, it's useless cuz it doesn't display thumbnails. How am I supposed to navigate through the videos without thumbnails?
I've been using Real Player for videos, it is kind of nice and with thumbnail support...
Sent from my X10i
Mplayer is the best with great codex support ...
I use PowerAmp for music, it supports all file formats (I think), lyrics etc...
And mediascape for videos and images. Rockplayer for non-.mp4/.wmv. =)
I like doubletwist because it's got a simple look to it. Can play music and videos. Check it out.
i ve been using this tab for about 4months now... Honestly i have not done any cool things... Just the regular web browsing, some games, etc...
So what are some cool things, or games you guys do with the tab? I mean things that will make your friends say "wow this is so cool"

That was good
About gaming as far as I saw while my brother take my P7500 he plays, Blood&Glory, GT Racing, Brother in Arms; and I can honestly say I play them sometimes too they are really good stuff. I think all from GLU Games and Gameloft.
Zen brush also a good drawing app which I first saw in an i-pad and now gladly have it in my device.
If you store your video digitally, Plex is a crowd pleaser. Once you organize your video library, Plex tags all the media so movies and TV shows have album art and descriptions. For example, I have the entire Everybody Loves Raymond series stored in MKV files. It shows up on Plex by season and then gives an individual description of each episode. Hulu through PlayOn is also cool. It's by far the best and easiest way to stream Hulu content to a tablet. It works better than using Hulu itself from a transcoding perspective. Both work well on a 3MB 3G connection too.
For magazines and newspapers Next Issue, Press Reader, and Zinio are also cool. If you have print subscriptions you can get the digital versions free through Next Issue.
Both News360 and Pulse are great ways to show off the Android platform for viewing news in different then typical formats.
+1 for Plex
My tab's all for media consumption, particularly video.
For movies/tv shows that I carry on the device itself I use Mizuu. It's like having XBMC on your tablet, where it pulls all coverart, backgrounds and movie/show info for you and presents everything in a nice interface.
On the interface customization side I like having multipicture live wallpaper setup along with ADW launcher EX. I organize my different home screens into hubs such that I have different ones dedicated to different media content or app content.
HD Widgets is awesome, as is Wizz Bar and Wizz widgets.
I've settled down with Feedly for my RSS app for now. Used to use Pulse a lot but it was too much of a resource hog and laggy at times.
Thanks for the advice guys

Folks,
I use ReadItLater quite extensively to save and sync on-line articles to my Transformer for later off-line reading. A browser extension on my desktop computer sends an article to ReadItLater with a single click, and when I pick up my tablet, it is there and ready to read.
However, ReadItLater doesn't seem to sync or handle PDFs. And it would also be great to have similar functionality for YouTube videos (i.e. a one-click approach to "sending" YouTube videos to the tablet for later off-line viewing).
I have tried to make this work for PDFs with Dropbox, but that seems to require going into the Dropbox app on the tablet and manually "caching" each item.
Does anyone know of an Android app that has ReadItLater-like functionality for PDFs, YouTube videos, or other non-article online content?
Thanks
Hey guys,
Got my Prime 3 days ago, everything is working as expected (Amazing product) except one slight problem.
I've been trying to watch embedded video in the stock browser and I seem to be having issues. I'm using stock browser, with the latest flash player installed.
When I get to the video, the screen shows blank and I see in both screen sides a 1 centimeter of distorted colors, which seems to be part of the video itself, but not organized. In full screen view I just see it blank.
When I refresh sometime I actually see the video frozen on some image.
I refresh, switch quality for dozens of times before I get a normal video.
Could someone test the following streaming website for me? mobafire.com/streams (It's League Of Legends game streaming)
(I'm showing as a new user so I couldn't get the link itself posted yet, just add www in the beginning please)
Just choose any stream there, there are around 10 always.
I want to understand if it's only happening on my prime.
Thanks in advance.
Guy?
Anyone encountered this behavior? Could anyone take a minute or two to test the video I mentioned above on his prime?
yes this week end i would watch live soccer on a website with flashplayer
the video was very laggy no possible to pu on full screen the screen was blank
adobe flashplayer was not very good on ics
Also experienced this on both stock browser and Dolphin HD.
One thing I've noticed is that if the page has just one embedded video, no problemo. Plays perfect. Also, don't try to zoom in on the video until after the video starts playing.
But when you have more than one embedded video, it has serious audio sync and loading issues. Oh and trying to full-screen from anything BUT the youtube app will give you terrible results.
I'll give it a shot to try and wait until the stream already starts playing before I fullscreen, but I doubt if it will change anything...
No I don't mean fullscreen, I mean zoom. Fullscreen will always fail miserably. Zoom, yannow, screen-pinching, can get you pretty close to fullscreen.
I see, I'll give it a shot thanks
Can someone that has all video working correctly give the streaming above a shot? I'm particularly interested to know how long, if any it takes you to get a normally working stream.
I have problems watching embedded youtube videos on the stock ICS browser. My experience... If I click play on the video, only the sound plays and the video doesn't appear. If I refresh the browser page, it always seems to work the second go around with no issue.
Not sure why it doesn't load correctly the first time around.
is the rooted nook set up tpo read only ceratin files? all the avi's play on my epic 4g but they cant be seen with my rooted nook. is there one perfect extension i can convert the files to that will always be read by the nook? it also seeems that certain video apps read diff things as well
It's better to use a third party app to play/stream videos, MX player works perfectly on the nook tablet

Rockplayer lite and diceplayer are also two nice options for local video playing.
