My EVO 3D was charging ok until I rooted him. After root,I have tried 2 custom ROMS(Shooter BEATS NG/Virtuous android 4.0.3,sense 3.6 leaked). If I shut off the phone and plug it in,I see in the morning that the LED is green, but when I power on the phone it says that I have the battery around 60-70%.Also,since root my LED does something wierd, which it hasn't done before root. Also when powered off, when I plug it in the red light comes on for a few seconds, then the red light shuts off, then goes right back on for the rest of the charge.
What could be the problem with this?
1.battery not fully chargin
2.LED wierdish colour change
Go to the market and download a battery calibration app. It will wipe your battery stats file, then have to discharge the battery and charge it to full. Should fix your issues.
1. Charge the phone till the LED turns green.
2. Discharge till its about 2%.
3. Charge again till LED is green.
3. Boot into recovery, wipe battery stats.
4. Reboot

I have done this and nothing changed. If I charge the phone while powered off it charges till 69%.If I charge it when ON it charges to 100% and stays there.(DOESN'T GO to 95 and again to 100 and so on). What can be the problem? Will this eventually destroy my battery?

Whats the proper battery calibration method? I know theres an app on the market too.
In general, you drain the battery to auto shut off, then charge from there. Not sure if there's an app for that, and this is something you should only have to do once in a blue moon.. it should not have to be a regular thing.
Just do it form recovery.

do what? drain the phone, then charge with it off until it turns green? then wipe stats in recovery?
let the phone die and leave it off until the green light turns on. then turn it on still plugged in and let it charge until the light turns green again and unplug. you can calibrate the battery also using the battery calibration app in the market (my method) or you can let it charge to full while off and when the light turns green reboot into recovery and wipe battery stats. i find the app in the market the best cuz it actually shows how many mv your phone has. and you dont have to turn your phone off just let it charge overnight and use the app.

Yep. There's an app that will do that for you and notify you as soon as its charged so it doesn't bleed charge on the charger. It's called Battery Calibration.

Yeah it gives you a little notification sound as soon as it gets to100% and you hit calibrate. Then just use the phone till it turns off and plug it in and let it chage all the way to 100% without stopping. (with the phone on or off I really don't think it makes a difference.)

Ive charged my phone whiles it's been on and then turned it off when it turned green. the phone will begin to charge for another 20 minutes or so, then i've either booted into recovery and cleared the battery stat or used the battery calibration app.
Hi, i today fully discharge my phone, and now when i connect it to charger, only blink red light, after some second again...
when i try to run phone, blink 3-times and nothing more...
Please help me...
U need to leave it. On charge for at least 10 min before it lets you turn it on once battery is fully discharged
Yes, its definitely not dead
1eyedmonster is right, its just deep discharge. You have to wait and charge it until orange or better green led will light up.
It goes red first for below 10%
Sent from my Xperia X10 using XDA
Take out ur battery.....Insert it properly....
then charge it again atleast for an hour...Will b healthy again...
Hit thanks if Helped...
i have same problem before
just charge about 3 hours
and the LED turn to green
means fully charge
if after fully charge your battery drain fast, maybe your battery is broken
or your IC in your phone is broken
Have you wiped battery stats? If not try this via cwm recovery or any other recovery after that download antutu tester off Google play (will take ages so I would run it at night) hope this helps
its ok, now run perfekt...
but i have another problem ... Charging takes too long... About 5-6 hours + ...
I would wipe battery stats again reboot should charge quicker next time. There's a app called dx battery saver which will alert you when battery gets too low and prompts before the red blinking light gives you more hassle!
when the charge is above 50%, it doesnt auto shutdown but when i play music or surf the internet at below 50%, it automatically shut's down and my batery heat is only 40%(?)and doesn't reboot.Has anybody experienced this?
Hey Addak,
Please provide info about your ROM and kernel, so we can check if there any issue or just suggest another one
Regards

Try some battery calibration, provided by zimmerAndy in Feralab´s Discussion Thread
HOW TO -
1. U need to drain your battery untill it went 0%, it will switch off ur phone for sure lol... than try to turn it on untill it wont even start/vibrate....
2. Now after completely draining your battery...connect it to the charger (To the socket charger not to the computer - we needs to get full voltage)
3. When it become 100%, do not disconnect the phone from socket wait untill 1 to 2 hours....(u can start your phone BUT DON'T USE IT )
3a. if your battery drained till its connected to the charger in 1 to 2 hours disconnect your charger and charge it again untill it gets 100% and repeat it untill battery stops draining on charging. than continue to the step 4.
3b. if your battery is not draining in this 1 to 2 hours, than go with the step 4.
4. Now the phone is fully charged disconnect the charger , reboot into xrecovery and wipe battery stats, reboot your phone, when lights gone off remove battery from the phone, and put it back and power on the phone.
5. leave it on charge and charge it untill 100%, disconnect the charger and reboot the phone, after power on
5a. if your battery percentage is 100% u done with the battery caliberation.
5b. if not than charge it again and reboot and check for the percentage, repeat it untill u get 100% battery on power on.....
When my phone reaches 85-80% battery my screen starts to flicker and my phone turns off. When turning on i only have 1% battery left.
Battery is only 1 year old. Do i need to buy a new one?
Or can I fix it?

You can calibrate the battery like this before you decide to buy a new one
Fully charge the battery with the phone on and when the phone is fully charged, unplug the charger and turn it off.
When your phone is off, plug it into the charger and let it charge to 100% again. The green LED light will indicate when this is done.
Next unplug the charger, turn on your phone and set the option to ensure that your screen doesn’t turn off, if you have this option. Then reconnect to the charger and wait for it to charge again to 100%.
Once loaded to 100%, unplug the charger again and do not load until the smartphone turns itself off after reaching a 0% battery level. Once off, fully charge it again and it should work properly. The screen setting can put back to normal again (meaning turn off after a certain amount of time).

Hi. I have problem with redmi note 3. Notification LED only blinking, when i turning on with discharged battery, only for a while. What is it problem? Thanks for answers.
As you already explained, YOUR BATTERY IS DISCHARGED AND THE DEVICE WON'T BOOT WITH AN EMPTY BATTERY so I'm asking you kindly to leave it charge itself for a while and then try again smh

As I said. LED notification only blinking when I turning on my phone on discharged battery (on red color for. While). Normally notification led isn't working, even when I am testing in service app.

Your battery is in negative state means no power at all it happened with me also, to fix this just plug your device to charger for some time like 20-30 mins it will show no signs of charging but it will charge after 30 min try to switch on your device ?
If nothing work, the last option (before change battery) is try to charge with inverse polarity.
You need to charge the battery without phone with cutted cable. Use inverse polarity...
Red cable (positive) in negative place of battery
Black cable (negative) in positive place of battery.
This for 20 minutes approximate.
Now try to charge with normal polarity (without phone during 30 minutes).
Put your battery in your phone and charge normally.
I repeat, this is the last option before change the battery.
For good maintenance of battery not allow low than 15% or more than 90%

Try with other rom, the led controller for discharged phone is in kernel but in Android is in system I think.
I don't know if I'm right, sorry.
