MOF 2.3.5.ish {locked} - Bootstrap Optimized 9/2/12 - Motorola Photon 4G

Dont think as myself as a dev just more of a tinkerer. But I like to be locked as I live in a 4g area but also I like the option to unlock from time to time to play with all the great roms and mods that the devs on this site create. So I've been playing around with the leaked 2.3.5. update files. Heres what I came up with. This was written for a bootstrap install (for user that want to retain 4g service) but you can use CWM, root is required. I use the stock 2.3.4. kernel but you can flash another kernel if your unlocked but if you use the kernel from the 2.3.5. update the services wont work.
If you flashed the full 2.3.5. ota update and flash this none of your services will work. You must be coming from 2.3.4. or using a 2.3.4. kernel.
Flashing this will wipe your entire phone so make sure you have backed up all your data
Flashing this will not perma lock your phone

-{FIXED as of ver 1.2}When mouting the internal storage the notification bar reads are you sure you want to format the internal storage. I'm working on it so if you see it dont panic it wont format it.
-NEW Voice Commands force closes.{as of ver 1.2 this apk was removed till a fix can be figured out.}
{Fixed as of ver 1.4} When rebooting the phone go into Settings - Wireless & Networks and check the 4g on then off or the wimax toggle in the Notification Toggles wont work correctly. I am aware of the issue and am in the process of correcting it.
-{New} Panoramic mode in the Camera app throw now enough memory error.

This was pulled from shabbypenguin's system.img of the leaked Sprint 2.3.5. soak test so thanks to him for that.
Thanks to pgriffinsc for the basis for the notification toggles.
This is my first post of this nature so please let me know if I did anything wrong or forgot anything. Just figured I would share what I found if there is any others who are in the same situation as me.

For those that already flashed ver 1.0 and dont want to restore all their data HERE is the 1.1 update it contains everyting but the updater script improvements but end users really wont see them anyway. For those that might be unlocked and want recovery as well as reboot added to the extended power menu HERE you go. Just flash in Bootstrap or CWM. If your coming from a 2.3.4. based rom do not flash one of the updates as it will probably cause a bootloop or failure to boot. If you coming from a 2.3.4. rom flash one of the full versions.

Volume Wake toggle enable - Enables volume up button wake from sleep. After the flash 3G service will be slow to come back on. Be patient it will come back on.
Volume Wake toggle disable - Disables the mod.

1080p will be negligible playing back on the phone but would be more noticable on a larger screen size, such as a large screen television. Battery life is about the same perhaps a little better on the stock 2.3.4. kernel.

Thank you for this. Been running it almost two days and really like it. Question: is the notification bar toggles included in 2.3.5, or was it something you added? I really missed those coming from my Epic!

Well I pretty much plan on using this until ICS is officially a reality, if it happens. If it doesn't, I'm good till my next upgrade. If it does, there better be notification toggles, or I'm sticking with your 2.3.5.

The toggles were made by another dev who name i cant remember at the moment but I will find it. Im just trying to give back a little I figured there were prob users like me that just want a simple package and retain 4g. I will continue to update and support this as long as I can.

Yes, This will flash normally it will not perm lock the bootloader.

Well I'm up to Day 3 with this ROM and the only issue I've had is that media volume drops to zero when I receive a phone call while listening to music. This is believed to actually be a bug in the stock release.
Otherwise, it's the most stable, feature-rich Gingerbread release for the Photon that I have used to date. I am sticking with this ROM until:
1) Motorola releases ICS for the Photon
or
2) my HTC EVO 4G LTE arrives!!

The radio was pulled from the 198_7 in order for it to work with the 2.3.4. kernel.

Another bug I get sometimes. I lose connection via WiFi when not using it for quite a while. Requires WiFi to be turned off and back on. No reboot required, just reset the radio. Sometimes happens with 3G as well. Same fix.

I have not had any issue with wifi or 3G connectivity.

The rom when flashed put your battery mode into nighttime mode. Goto setting and change the battery mode to performance and it will stay connected.
