Hello guys, ive found a way to get fm working in our phone with ICS 4.0
1.FIRST DOWNLOAD THIS

2.THEN INSTALL IT
3.GO TO SETTINGS AND SELECT YOUR COUNTRY
4.GO TO SETTINGS --> AUDIO --> METHOD --> i9003
5.CONNECT YOUR HEADSET AND ENJOY FM RADIO !!!
note: there is a warning, but it it for only galaxy s
100% works and ive tested it !!!!!!!!!
The market says that it's incompatible !! BTW it looks like Spirit FM radio.
Provide better service Pass on the Link for APK for download as the app is not compatible

You mean, like, a pirate version or something ?
I've verified some have malware, BTW... Got some myself last year looking at the mods the asian guys did. Was funny seeing it tap out emails, LOL, but they were to people I dealt with so I killed it.

I just installed Mystic's Glory 5 and the PDA version is I9100XWLPX. The app radio fm isn't available in this rom and I use a lot this app.

u can try 'TuneIn' or 'Spirit FM' as alternatives from stores and see
since if the standard FM is missing on ur ROM means the feature(Standard FM) is not supported for u

Spirit FM doesn't use data connection, does it? TuneIn use it.
Hi, I searched for a lighter rom and found Redemption 4 on this forum and I love it!
however I now realized I do use the FM radio and it is no longer there --
searched around I I thought I could just install some FMradio.apk , but for some reason install fails (and I can install other apps)
could anybody help me out on this ?
I never really tweaked my android phone untill 2 days ago

I tried already a few of them and it's quite strange that installation fails... do fm radio applications (non-streaming) require any extra things beyond the apk file??
any help please? One of the few apps on google play says it only works with motorloa, so I guess there is a dependency on the model/brrand thus not just any radio app will work. And why should not work with the stock one? (which is just fine for me)

Then flash to stock rom, backup fmradio.apk with titanium backup, flash to your custom rom and restore fmradio.apk

Here is the stock FMRadio.apk.
Flash it with Clockworkmod or RZ.
"earphones not connected"
mine says the earphones are not connected.. i uninstalled and re-installed the radio app but still no joy. the e/phones work fine on other phones/audio equipment though.. i even tried the supplied e/phones from the box.. nothing.. :/
so wondering what it could be..

I'm guessing this is cos you're on Jelly Blast, there's several solutions install Rafael baugis kernel, or install soundabout app (in settings find the one that says let phone decide and check it) download from Google play, these will fix your problem

Stock FM Radio doesnot work with CM 7.2 since there are no Samsung frameworks in CM versions. You can use any third party apps from Google Play. Hope I Helped

so if the rom creator did not post it here who would post it ? I am helping the creator to publish his rom , posting here does not mean you have to be a Dev.. the dev section is for roms does not matter u create it or some one else

I dont think so , you should be ok without it . if it fails then you can try a different modem it wont harm

Guys ! This will give you a feeling like DN4 has a perfect working Radio.
This is a radio app (spirit) fully themed like Samsung radio . Tested & working perfectly on DN4. (FM Recording also working ! Your recordings will be saved in Device Storage/Music/fm folder )
Notice - Disconnect and connect headphones while switching from headphones to speakers or vice versa (Not needed in V3).
Steps :
1. Download apk and install it like normal app. That's it.
Don't try to move the apk in system/app or priv-app.(It will become useless !)

1. New Theme (Samsung Latest KK).
2. Stations can be saved by names !

Thanks for your great moded fm akhil bhai.But i am facing one problem.
I'm using spirit fm with walkman sound enhancement and after using fm it makes all systems sound mute!!!!
So I installed 3 times and result was same then now uninstalled and now all system sound working.

I am using it with Dolby HD enhancement and everything is working perfectly (system sounds). You can also try Dolby HD from AholicCert's mods thread.
Otherwise you have a option to switch your default sound alive rather than
uninstalling radio everytime. You can do it by going in settings/sounds/music effects
and select default MusicFX (everytime when you want to listen radio) and change it back to walkman enhancement when you listen music.. Or just simply switch to Dolby HD.

Can you tell me what's the exact problem you are facing ? If the radio haven't any sound then make sure you Install the apk as normal app.. Don't put the apk in your system/app or priv-app.. Sound will only work if its installed as normal apk.

Hi, I live in Australia and was enjoying milk music that was recently added support to our country, i was able to listen to the music even device being rooted, until the last update (1.11.150408.09) which now detects the root and stops the app, I tried installing apps like "Hide root" and other apps but no use
Also i just cannot role back by uninstalling as this is not a system app, downloaded from play store:crying:
So i'm wondering if any one can please provide me an APK that was before the stated version (1.11.150408.09) 9/4/15

Tried but no luck, gave a shot on my nexus 5 and Note 4, but no luck, I think the article you posted relates to US only version which will not work in australia. Like stated i just need a older version which will not check for root
I tried lucky patcher but couldn't find anyt patch available for milk music :crying:
