I am having a very odd issue. My bottom taskbar with the back, menu, time buttons etc is frozen. Nothing happens when I click on it. However, if I rotate the tab to get the taskbar on the sides or the top, the taskbar begins to work. It's just not working when the taskbar is in normal position.
I have tried reinstalling the OS multiple times after wipe but still having the problem.
I thought it might be the touchscreen gone bad but after rotating, the touch works in the same location for other applications.
Not sure if there is some way to lock the taskbar.

On my camera sometimes when i go to take pics the menu the pops up on the right giving you flash options, ect...sometime parts of it will be clear, like see through then you restart camera and it back to normal, its like the menu background partially disappears anyone else notice this?
Yeah, its on the bottom right corner of mine sometimes. Not sure what causes it. I've also had my lock screen dissapear. It was just not there one day, then it came back like a week later.
Whenever I type using the on screen keyboard (using thumb keyboard, but happens with them all), I CONSTANTLY hit the status bar and the menu pops up. If I'm lucky I notice before i touch the screen again but about half the time i manage to turn wifi off, bluetooth on/off.... It drives me bonkers. Anyone also have this problem? Any solutions for it? Any way to move status bar to the top? I've tried making the bottom row of keys bigger in thumb keyboard settings, but i'm still doing it
Seems I can only find something for Honeycomb;

Not sure if there is any solution to lock the taskbar when the keyboard is up or not. I'd love that feature too.
Similar issue but with the menu button
I have a similar issue, but I keep clicking menu button with my palm (see picture attached). Anyone has the same issue? Any solutions?
Are you on a stock ROM? You can lock the status bar.
Sent from the matrix. (or my phone)

Click to collapse
Hide the whole task (notification) bar with Gesture Control
Also does custom gestures etc, but most useful is hiding the notification bar i think

EDIT-
Seems he released a free version of the HideBar tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28694868
so if you only want to remove the bar (and restore it) use this tool ... however he probs could do with the money support
I recently recieved my Xperia S back from Sony today as I had the yellow tint issue. That seems to be gone 'fingers crossed' but it seems like I now have a more annoying issue
The bottom right of my screen is less sensitive than the rest of the screen. For example when unlocking my phone I find it very hard to get the unlock icon from one side to the other. It gets to about where the camera Icon is and then it goes back to where I dragged it from. It take me about 5 attempts to get it unlocked.
Also when draging icons on the homescreen to the far right position on the homescreen dock and I can have some trouble picking up the icon or moving it there.
I've found a part of my screen that doesn't respond at all! On the app drawer the icon next to the sorting option (Manage Applications button) doesn't respond at all. I've tried clicking it over 20 times and nothing has happened. If I drag the status bar down over the icon it doesn't recognise that my finger is touching the screen and then the status bar falls the the bottom of the screen.
I've tried restoring my phone and trying a newer firmware but the problem is still there. Did they do something wrong when they put my phone back together? Is there anything I can do rather than sending it back to Sony?
●●●●● I managed to get the settings icon back! I rearranged my icons a few times and put it next to one of my double clock icons and there it was! I did a factory reset. So far so good...... not sure what causes the problems below but I will leave this post unless a moderator wants to delete this thread for me ●●●●●
Hi all. Got a few problems with my Gear Fit... I want to do a factory reset but cannot! Honestly want to upgrade to a different smartwatch soon but for now I will have to work with this. I am disappointed in lack of apps that work with this but I LOVE the touch screen and features it does have...
1. No settings icon to factory reset my device. Thought there was a physical reset button on underside which I pressed in with a pin but nothing happens when I do. I held it down too... maybe not long enough? Does anyone know how long?
2. When I scroll in one direction its an infinite loop. Does not even show home screen with clock on it most of the time... instead there is an infinite loop as in the same 3 icons show over and over and over as I scroll....
3. Sometimes when scrolling, part of the clock shows on left half of the screen and its stuck there while the other half scrolls. Still no settings icon!
4. Also when I use the Gear Fit Manager on my S3, it shows 2 clock icons which I can drag and reorder but it only leaves a gap in the icons on the Gear Fit itself... looking at it horizontally should show 3 icons across but it will show 2 with a blank spot where 3rd icon would be.... sometimes I can see the clock but most times I cannot.
I wanted to contact samsung about these issues through email but I cannot seem to get there. I dont see any choice for smartwatches and model number so therefore I cant seem to figure how to send an email to the correct department.
Hope I can reset and start over before I end up getting mad and throwing it across the room!
Hello. So strange. A friend's HTC U11 Android phone boots up normally and just as the UI starts to load in, the entire screen is taken over by nothing but black. Tapping on the screen unveils a white dot where the tap is occurring (I'm wondering if they messed with Developer options and caused this?). The hard buttons still work. It operates in the background. Swiping down from the top edge doesn't work. Opening the task viewer doesn't work -- you can't do anything. Pressing and holding the power button does bring up the restart/power off pop-up. Gestures work (tried three-point multi-touch swipe downwards and a permissions request for HTC Connect popped up). These pop-ups happen over the black fullscreen. Other than those, nothing works.
For the split second that it loads the UI upon boot-up, I've tried quickly swiping down from the top and tapping on the Settings gear icon, however even though it goes into Settings the black fullscreen takes over just the same.
Tried wiping cache. Tried booting under "Safe Mode" -- nothing helps.
Now, the phone is not rooted, and it's set up with encrypted unlock at boot-up, so that makes things even trickier. Perhaps there's a way to install some sort of app that clears startup apps/services from Google Play remotely using a desktop computer on the account? Or it won't work until the app is first opened on the phone right? Maybe TeamViewer Mobile somehow and see if the phone's screen shows up on the connecting PC?
Tried plugging in a USB keyboard/mouse. I see the mouse cursor move around on-screen. Tried different keyboard shortcut combinations and nothing seemed to work. Any ideas in terms of keyboard shortcuts I should try?
Any ideas on how to salvage the data without losing it by rooting the bootloader? It won't respond to ADB. HTC Sync Manager doesn't see it either.
