When you do a full restore in xrecovery, it restores your phone to exactly how it was when you made the backup.
Sent from my X10i TripNMiUI-IRIS using XDA Premium App
You restore the rom you make backup to including all Apps, sms MMs ect. (basically everything)
Yes i know that, but if i just restore data and not the complete rom what will be restored??

Full wipe data cm7

Hi
Do you need to full wipe data if you are are on stable CM7 to go the nightlies, because my mate is on stable he wants to go to the nightly but he didn't save his contacts on google account, he saved on phone. Can someone suggest me a program how to make a nice backup for contacts.
Thanks

You can move from stable to nightlys without a wipe in theory, make sure to take backups.

Nandroid for the whole system, titanium backup for system/user apps and data.
Sms backup+ for sms and call log (syncs to gmail account, other programs may sync locally).
You can export contacts to sdcard (I think).

Ya I know but all the good stuff is in the pro Version though. Frost time that am planning to use one have gotten addicted to flashing an trying new roms just hate reinstalling all my important apps. Such a pain.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using xda premium
The important stuff is free in titanium, but the pro version adds enough goodies to be worth it.

Transfer apps data to new phone.

Hello guys,
I'm going to stop to use my x10, but there are some important apps with data on it and also some games. How can I transfer the data of the apps to my new phone. It's the galaxy s3.
Noones gonna help you, cause you betrayed X10. Nah, I'm kidding and I don't know how, but you can try with titanium backup maybe.

It might be a bit late but save your picture mail (if you have any) because the sms backup Danny recommended (that I also use myself ironically enough lol) doesn't backup mms

You should also consider using an alternate SMS app like Go SMS with build in backup function.
