Hello, I just got a HTC Thunderbolt, rooted it using Auto ROOT TB, was successful, flash/installed(I don't know I am a newb) Cyanogenmod 7 successfully. Works great, but I have been searching everywhere for a working "MyVerizon" but the topic is either dead/links dead or something else is wrong with it. Can anyone provide me with a working method/link for MyVerizon? or is there no possible way at the moment. Thanks for reading.
I have looked all around too. I just don't think there is one that works on AOSP Roms.

Hey Guys,
I'm quite new here and seeking some help!
I recently acquired a Samsung I717M note from bell mobility here in Canada.
I successfully rooted it using odin3 v1.85 and Superuser-3.0.7
Main reason was to hook up my ps3 controllers and play my favorite games.
Setting up the PS3 controllers was a success. I noticed initially after rooting my note things seemed a little sluggish than before, choppy switching home screens and on websites. The unlock screen didn't work smooth and the unit no longer vibrated when i clicked on icons. Honestly, little things like this drive me nuts and I'd rather go back to the unrooted original version. I could care less about the ps3 controllers at this point.
I didn't make a backup rom. I've scoured the net and this forum to find a recent a I717M bell rom with a working link. Does anybody have one available? I'd greatly appreciate it!
Thanks
Royce
I have a bell Rom that already has been rooted with a rooted kernel. You flash with odin.will sent you a link tonight when i get home from work

Do you have a stock recovery or cwm recovery?

Thanks a lot man.
Here is the link, just unzip the file and place the tar in pda section in odin. http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?763jew5s7nsighw
Well I bought this HTC Rezound on craigslist, the guy i bought it from said it was rooted and blah blah. To begin with I didnt want the phone rooted, because to be honest I have no use for it or know what it really is used for, I have never rooted a phone or attempted. Well anyways, just today I restarted the phone because it was acting real slow, so i restarted it and when it powered back on it got stuck on the 4g screen. I left it like that for like 10 min and nothing. Please if anyone can help me on trying to fix this, it would gladly be appreciated. I dont want it rooted anymore just normal. If you can help please make this an easy experience, I dont ever plan on ever rooting or dealing with this stuff..thanks!!
Download the gb ruu from the sticky in the dev thread and run it. You'll be back to stock like it came out of the box http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19189145

Or this one, its newer http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25664508
But he's right your going to have to flash the RUU to fix it. Also rooting is not a bad thing, it's actually a good thing. It allows you to load custom ROMs on your phone so you don't have to live with the standard Verizon / HTC crap. Like mine for example, I am running Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich, with Sense 4.0.
I couldn't find that thread so I directed him to football's original one. Thanks for the other link

Not a problem, just trying to help out. I know all to well the feeling of a bricked phone....
I had this issue, sounds like dude didn't flash the right boot image to the rom.
Yes, start from the latest ruu and go from there.
Is there any app available to root my Samsung Fascinate?
I've tried many one click apps, but have had no success. Using a computer is not an option to root the phone at this time for me since my computer does not work.
From what I know and have read, you're pretty much stuck if you can't get access to a computer. I've never heard of people having luck with those one click apps for the Fascinate. Just borrow a friend's computer for a few minutes using droidstyle's guide and you'll be good
Sounds a bit disappointing as I've been trying to root the phone since I first got it lol Went through a lot of tutorials before way back on my pc, but kept getting stuck with no root.
Thanks for the info and link! Much appreciated!

Does anyone has rooted his GN3 making his Knox to 0x1 and has also Samsung All Share Cast Dongle?
I ask this because Dongle is crazy checking if is Original sammy firm in the phone and i had a ton of troubles with my Note 10.1 to be able to connect (triangle away had troubles and after 1 million tries i noticed that busybox was making dongle not to work)
Either way i dont dare to root my GN3 because i will loose the connection so if anyone is allready tested this im glad to hear his results.
not dare to try yet. wait n see.

I'm sure 99% of people are too worried about blowing the e-fuse on an expensive just released phone. Give it some tine for the Dev Community to get into swing.

Do you say you got your rooted Note to work with the dongle just by deleting busybox?
Do you have a custom recovery or custom kernel on it and it still works with the dongle?

Yes i was with WanamRom and No i just didnt installed busybox. When i was doing rooting.. then CWM then busybox all together it didnt work... and also triangle away even though in download mode i was 0 and official wasnt able to make my system status to official. Then i tried each one.. 1st root... dongle worked.. then cwm.. dongle worked.. then busybox.. dongle stoped working.... thats it.
So i ended up understanding that somehow one of the checks that sammy does is that if busybox exists in the system.

This is interesting. Because normally it is that the dongle works - root or not - as long you have the stock kernel AND the stock recovery.
And you got it to work with CWM - a custom recovery. Strange.
Did you try to uninstall busybox?
No really, I just trying with different kernels because for some reason some kernels was found by triangle way to show info inside the app but most didn't, in the end when I realized it wasn't kernel or recovery related I left the stock kernel. Understand that what ever I tried off course was happened after reboot with triangle away to reset the counters and the system status.

do you know of anyone that's tried it with another brand receiver?
there are plenty of miracast receivers that should technically work the same as the official samsung dongle
No I don't have this info and honestly when I bought the samsung dongle I was searching for the netgear but I was in a hurry and I was unable to find it in Greece.

This is great news. This was one of my main concerns about rooting. It took me forever to figure it out on the 2 and i really don't want to go though the hassle. This and wifi tether are the only reasons I root anymore. I will wait a little while longer not like I did with the 2. Caused me all kinds of problems. I spent 6 hours trying to get my phone to stop boot looping.

I don't use the dongle but I do have a 2013 Samsung smart tv that has the all share cast built in. No trouble at all using all share cast or screen mirroring rooted with the posted Stock DeOdex rom.
I just rooted my phone with root de LA Vega method and all share cast is working fine.

I have an S4, and i'm pretty sure screen mirroring doesn't work If you change to a modified framework. When I flash the original room framework, screen mirroring works again with allshare cast dongle.
May I ask how the video quality is with the note 3 / allshare cast? how about delays/lags?
Anyone have screen mirroring working with knox 0x1?
Yeah me, as long as you don't change kernel it works fine.

I was going nuts switching roms, defrosting app by app, i just couldn't understand why my backed up factory stock rom would mirror just fine and every other custom rom wouldn't. Then it came to me, its the kernel, because i gave up and i said i will just root and debloat stock and live without custom roms. I realized its kernel related as soon as I put another custom kernel and mirror failed.
So I am really glad I ran into this forum, thank you so much for confirming my doubts. All i do now , is restore boot.img from my recovery if i want to mirror , then i can always go back to my fav. kernel whenever i want.
Thanks again fellas.
