[ROM][4.0.4]SGT7 Builds for the tf201 - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

SGT7 is the custom ROM by the guys who brought ICS/CM9 to the OG Galaxy Tab
Initially it supported only the first tab, but now we've decided to support other tablets as well, so here it is!
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*
*/
It's based on CyanogenMod 9, and will continue being to be so.
In short, it's a heavily modded CyanogenMod for tablets, fully opensource

zips with tf201 in it are for the transformer prime
Also available via Goo Manager
Installation and bugs are also same as CyanogenMod 9
So, download the zip, transfer it to the sd, reboot into Recovery and do a backup (always preferred, but optional), then install the zip.
Install GApps afterwards if you aren't coming from a CM9 / CM9 based ROM
Also, read the CM9 thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1582907 (has some useful info )
Since neither of us has the device personally, the builds are untested, and we rely on you, the users, to help us.
Report anything wrong with the ROM, and what you'ld like to see in it.
Report issues here : http://code.google.com/p/sgt7/issues/list
(Do not report device-specific issues, i.e. stuff not working on CM9, report only stuff that you saw as a setting and didn't work as expected)
Lastly, thanks to the CyanogenMod team, for all their work, and thanks to the guys who ported ics to this tab.
It's just meant to be an addition of tablet specific tweaks to CM, and we might look forward to merging this functionality into CM later on, but for now, have fun with this.

Pretty sure it's the same error as a few other tablets, but still get me a logcat if you are able to just to confirm, seems to be an upstream bug, will try fixing, and do a clean build later today (morning here)

I'll install it and give it a shot in just a lil while and pull a logcat of the boot if another user hasn't already done it by then.

Probably just use the one for CM Nightly... This is a modified version of that with tablet tweaks and such added. I think it only gets updated once a week or so, Or if there are any big changes/fixes. This is just a guess though, I'm sure cdesai will chime in when he sees our posts and he'll say for sure.

man i would love to see a working Reboot to Recovery option in the power menu settings, use to have it on the tf101, gnufabio figured it out somehow, but noone has managed to do it for the prime yet.... thanks for the work u put into this guyz look forward to flashing this...

i read on 'that other forum' that this was actually fixed in latest CWM, but it contains an other bug with backupping the tf201 so pretty useless.

The Eos roms will reboot to recovery all long as you use Roach's repacked CWM. It will be so good when the external sdcard issue is figured out though...

Thanks for everyone who said they'd test. I'll keep you in mind when the first build is complete. The build will be uploaded to 4shared when it's done (let me know if you are unable to access 4shared).

My first priority will be to get actual CyanogenMod booting and working on the phone. Once I have it "stable" enough for use, I'll see what features can be added from the stock ROM. No guarantees on Webtop though.

[Q] installing rc3 tab rom

So I've been running rc1 since it was release but I'm thinking about trying the rc3 update. I just finished downloading the rc3 updated rom but what a the best way to flash, wipe data etc and what about the addons? I tried finding some flashing specifics but there are just too many pages to filter thru on the Dec page.

There have been some issues with RC3 ygst DaGr8 is working on. He solved the major inescapable and is currently working to get the ROM stable.

RC3 has issues like exchange service and dpi issues. Contacts FC'ing. Samsung Calendar as well. These FC's occur after applying the tablet ui. (except exchange which happens from the get go.)
I want tablet mode so that's why I am waiting.
Sent from my Samsung i717R using XDA Premium. Hit Thanks if I've helped.
i don't use exchange, so I deleted the app, so no fc's for me; also, don't use tablet mode; need larger fonts, so thats not an issue for me either
no issues with calendar or anything else for me

You saw this in titanium backup yes ?
It is normal. You can either restore your old one or keep the new one.
They suggest restoring the old one for max compatibility with bought play store apps but I never have any trouble both ways.
hi,
yes i had this message after restoring with TB. It is the first time. I already used it and i never had this message before.
I cant restore the old ID cause i am not a "registered" user.... Is there another way to restore this ID?

I too installed HB 2.2. No problems at all. It feels more stable and is easier to use then previous versoins of JB or ICS. Thanks to all the folks who made it possible. I especially liked the "reverse axis" option (since I have one of those digitizers). Cheers, guys!

A Fix for Your GPS Woes

While browsing a bit last night I luckily stumbled across a recovery flashable zip that fixed all my GPS issues on AOSP. I had previously tried all the other fixes that have been posted thus far and none worked on the 20130601 VRB nightly, the previous VRB nightlies, any of the PA releases, or any of the other various AOSP ROMs.
In the post it states that this will work with any of the t0lte phones, the VZW Note 2 is the t0ltevzw for those of you who have only heard of it referred to as the i605, so I gave it a shot and lo and behold my GPS locked within 5 seconds where it previously wouldn't even pick up any satellites.
So those of you having the same problem try flashing this:
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/40116-42...de-hello-halo-0604/page__st__490#entry1184057
Here is a link to it in my Dropbox for those of you who would rather not use Rootz:
http://db.tt/PnvlFhgy
The way I flash it and the way I have always gotten it to work is to open Maps first, click the GPS shape to get it to find you, wait until it says "Unable to locate", reboot directly into recovery, flash this fix WITHOUT WIPING ANYTHING, reboot and open Maps, profit. When you are testing Maps after you flashed the fix make sure you are outside to give it the best possible chance to find satellites. If it still locks show but you are getting a lock try using FasterGPS from the Play Store to change your GPS.conf, to do so open the app, grant it superuser privileges, and select the correct continent and region under NTP Server. It should be North America for the continent and United States for the region unless you are using the i605 out of country, if you are using it out of country then select the appropriate continent and region.
I didn't create this nor in any way, shape, form, or fashion take any credit for this fix, the credits go to alba on Rootz. The only thing I have done is post it here so hopefully the people with GPS issues will see it and finally be able to use it.
EDIT:
For those of you that flash this please leave a comment starting if it did or did not work and what ROM and kernel you're using. If you haven't flashed a kernel then just put something like "using kennel that came with ROM." This way maybe we can see which ROMs it works with and which it doesn't so hopefully we can troubleshoot it and get your GPS working.
Also if the fix doesn't work download GPS Status or GPS Toolbox from the Play Store and see if your phone is even seeing the satellites. If it is it will show you something along the lines of either 0/0 or 0/x# of satellites. I have included some screenshots to show you how to find the number of satellites in GPS Status.

What ROM were you on? Did you launch Maps before you flashed it? The only way it works for me is if I launch Maps, let it say it can't find me (when in all reality the GPS wont even search), reboot, flash, profit.
Also try it without the WiFi and Wireless Networks selected under Location Access..
