What's the difference between this two roms?
CM7 is straight-up AOSP with nothing but performance and usability tweaks. MIUI is a highly customized ROM with a ton of GUI changes and completely rewritten apps. http://en.miui.com/a-24.html
I haven't tried MIUI yet, but I hear CM7 is currently much more stable on Vibrant. If you don't need GPS and can stand the poor standby time, CM7 is a daily driver right now. Haven't heard anyone say that about MIUI for Vibrant - I think they're not quite there yet.
Kool man thanks for the info. Im currently running cm7 right now and so far is the best rom I'm using this as a daily driver.I love this rom and I was planning to flash mui but I guess ill pass in that.lol
Want simplicity and speed cm7
Want beauty with a cm7 base miui

Yeah, if you want a fast daily driver I'd stick with CM7. I'm doing that until MIUI gets more stable, then I'll probably take it for a test drive.
No matter how hot it looks, I'd hate it flashing from CM7 right now - can't beat the speed and stability. Once they get the kinks worked out I'd like to try it.
im using stock Gingerbread with rooting no Oc
i had galaxy 10.1 and it was bit laggy
Hows Flyer Honeycomb roms speed(no-oc) compare to Gingerbread roms??
i dont care about benchmark score i meant overall speed
Not a good thread and I mean no offense. Gb vs hc is a bit of a debate on these forums. This will only result in another thread where people bicker. I am guilty of this myself.
My suggestion is try it, and if you don't like it revert back

Im not trying to create chaos or anything like that thx anyway
Not saying you were. I like hc but I am not on stock so benchmarks from me is not what you want
Sent from my HTC Flyer P510e using xda premium
Speed is OK. I guess faster than HC, but that is how you look at it.
I'm liking HC better. Im running clever names HC, seems stable and have not had any issues with it yet. I find it slightly faster then then stock GB. I was running Vipers GB over locked to 1800 and I'm not missing it. My current phone is an Epic 4G touch and everything is slow and laggy compared to it.
Sure there's a few things that bug me about the HC UI but no more then in ICS. But then I didn't like GB or Froyo and went back to Donut when I had my Vogue. Things change and you can either whine and complain, get use to it or learn to code.
I'm enjoying the upgrade and won't be going back.

i installed the hc and im very satisfied. thanks
As the title states, which ROM is your daily driver and why?
i've just made the jump from toast's cm7.1 to joelz's aosp ics. the only thing that's missing is a working camera. i can live without that for now. certainly not a deal breaker for me.
Joelz ics +1 here, pretty awesome, would like that camera working, but that's the only real issue I have with it. Had some trouble flashing it, but once I did a factory wipe, it was all butter after that...

Same here Joelz ics. I don't use the camera much
Visit my site http://goo.gl/rqoVI
CleanROM. I use bluetooth phone and especially a2dp audio everyday. Once those are working I may jump to whatever ics rom has those working.
MIUI is mine, for the amazingly long battery life and low resource usage with incredible smoothness. I dont have 4G in my area so losing that is no big deal and I dont care about 3D in the slightest, the one thing I miss though is the Amaze camera port and a working ZSL kernel. Cant get that on AOSP but the loss of it is not enough to make me switch on a daily basis. Stability seems far better on MIUI too compared to any Sense ROM I have tried.
So in Summary:
I can get over 3 days battery life on MIUI
Stability is better
Smoother
Less resources
All games work (dont graphical glitch and crash phone)
Blackend rom with American metal theme

Warm TwoPointThree RLS 1 but have ICS and CM7 (for all my emulators using wii remote) just a boot away using ROM manager.
Mikrunny. The best sense 3.5 rom I've tried. Super fast and great battery life. He even fixed the limit on 160 characters in sms.
Sprint EVO 3D.

Miui. Love the style, customization options and built in features.

one of the most stable roms out there fresh, completely stock with all bloat erased, and sprint hotspot, this turned a serious flasher into a one rom lover, been using it for a month, but i occasionally use miui but when i experience a slight prob with it go back to fresh!

I'm saying it because according to Joelz "not working" list, A2DP doesn't work. If that's wrong then he should probably update it and I'd probably load it up.

The best Sense 3.5 ROM out there. Other ROMs have this gimmik, that non-working "feature". But in the end, you can't beat a swift, stable, fully-functional ROM with 40h+ battery life.
As for the kernel I use anthrax, the "unspeakable" one .
Hey guys, I've seen that lots of people have been having confusion between the ICS roms and whatnot.
1. TMOUS ICS LEAK
Stock Sense 3.6 with Ics 4.0.3
2. Android Revolution HD 2.x.x
Same as TMO Leak only with improved performance and battery. There are NO visual changes whatsoever in what I've seen. Completely stock look.
3. Energy ROM build April 27 and forward
Based on TMO Leak. April 27 build is much like Android Rev HD, only with some tweaks put in by NRG. New build that is on the way is themed and has more tweaks. If you haven't used the Energy ROM before, expect a heavily themed ROM just like the earlier GB builds of the ROM.
4. Speed Run 2.x.x
Currently in beta testing. A senseless ROM, with ICS lockscreen and Stock ICS look. If I'm not mistaken, Sense launcher/Rosie is removed and replaced by another launcher, more specifically, Trebuchet or Nova for example, which are built on the Stock ics launcher with more features.
5. RevolutionizedNonSense
Based on ARHD 2.1.0. Similar to Speed Run, with much of Sense removed. Rosie replaced by Apex.
Hope some people can make good use of it

Can someone please post AnTuTu scores of the different versions. I am probably going to flash one of these (Energy probably as I am used to his GB ROM) soon as I am tired of all the TMobile crap, and I need the quick settings that NRG has in his version.
I am currently on stock ICS, rooted with ext4 installed. AnTuTu has given me scores around 6500 (last run was 6558) and I have seen someone on AndroidRev has a score of 6666. If any of these ROMs are significantly faster, I will go with that option. Anyone on Energy, please? I cannot post in the Android Dev section because I have never posted much here. But I am absolutely loving ICS so far, and might even try and get into development since I have a little bit of coding skills.

I hope u don't base which rom to flash by antutu benchmarks. Honestly, it doesn't take but 10 min to do a backup and flash a rom. I always download each rom and make a backup so I can just switch between backups. It's always best to try a variety and see what u like best.

Thanks, that makes a lot of sense, and what I would normally tell other people too. I just want to change to something with a high score for a few days, to see if it really feels any snappier, before flashing Energy for regular use .

Not to whore out my rom but.. well wait, I kinda am.
You can add RevolutionizedNonsense to the list- it is based on Android Revolution HD(which has a ton of tweaks you should note on the OP) but has all of the sense removed, and uses aosp(Lockscreen,Browser, mms, gallery, email, calendar, etc) a lot like the speed run does(I just chose a better name )
But so far it has been super smooth, everything works.. and because it was built on top of mike1986's Android Revolution it is snappy as hell, and so far really good on battery life.
Really, I couldn't ask for a better rom unless I made it myself.. which I did.

There are no jellybean ROMs that are fully functional. Gangnam style and disarmed toaster are the only ones with 4g working, no 3d.
Aokp's 4g is wip so no 4g yet and no 3d. All of them are fast and stable. Aokp is loaded with ROM control options. However if your friend can't live without 3d he or she should stay on stock ICS sense.
As Jspata said there aren't. But what I did is pretty much the same thing. (If your looking for stability and looks). I flashed viperROM which is an upgraded version of android 4.0 it runs 10x better than the original one. It also comes installed with extra apps and no bloatware. Then just go to the market and download the Jellybean launcher or anything you want. Pretty much everything JB related is currently on there.

I've tested all the current JB Roms on my system and my favorite by far is Gangnam Style. I've avoided using the 4G however as it seems to cause issues for me and my SMS's.

Do all features work with VIper ROM (3d 4g etc etc)
No, only roms with full functionality are sense 3.6 roms
(Don't ask me for help as I couldn't care if your phone explodes, eh!
