I am running 2.3.4 GB currently and want to switch back to 1.5.7 for front camera need and also want to try new kernels out there. Only thing holding me back is Gallery. I really like new Gallery app on 2.3.4 and wondering if it is possible to use the same app on 1.5.7. Did anyone try it? Does it work if it just replace old app with new and change permissions?
Appreciate your inputs.
/K
Won't work from 1.2.6 or 1.5.7 different than 1.8.3 and 2.3.4 maybe someone can port it but since the source isn't released for 1.8.3 or gb not much u can do but u can always try to just back ur old one up.

i recently upgraded to the stock ICS via update from Samsung and there was no flash player. So i followed the guide on XDA to install flash player but it was really slow and glitchy. So i went back to the stock 3.2 firmware.
I really like the ICS firmware but i use my tab to mainly watch flash videos. So my question is there any CM10 ICS roms that has the flash player working as smooth as the original 3.2 firmware? I have the P7510 - WiFi US verison btw. Thanks.
I prefer to use the CM10 mod since i use the same on my Sensation and like it.

I think you are mistaken, cm10 is jelly bean and cm9 is ics. In my opinion, cm9 is waayyy smoother than stock ics, and as ics it supports flash. If you want cm10 you'll need the modded flash because it's not officially supported -- but just google it, there's a guide on xda.
Hi there,
I'm very rookie at this developing stuff however I've tried to upgrade my Defy+ from 2.3.6 GB to 4.0.4 ICS using CM9 nightly Custom Rom.
I've experienced many issues on the process but the phone seens to be stable now, everything is working fine.
I have some issues regarding the CM9 ICS and really hoping that you guys are able to help me in reach the ideas I need, here it is:
1 - I've changed my touch screen and in the procedure i left the light sensor kindly covered with adhesive eek. In the Ginger Bread, when I was in a Call, the screen gets off and I was able to turn it back on pressing the Power button, at ICS this doesn't work.
2 - Regarding the above, I'm wondering in extract the Phone and Contacts applications from the Retail ROM in order to try a solution for these and because i was familiar with the appearence of it. Is that possible? It should work?
3 - I'd loved the Swype and Keyboard interface of the Retail 2.3.6 GB, is it possible to bring it to the CM9 ICS? How do I do this?
Many many thanks for the reading!
Marcelo
There is any how to install the official 2.3 GB motorola Aplications on the CM9 4.0 ICS?
Due to some weird reasons i need a completely stock rooted rom, just like Santod's current ICS rom here, but GB. I havent been able to find one with a working link. Any help would be great. The next best thing would be a GB rom with the original sense and phone settings.
2.11.605.19 stock rooted rom
I was wondering if my tablet can handle ICS. It is 1.2GHz and it is running Android 2.3.4. Is there any ICS ROMs for Scroll Excel?
Sent from my super rare, old Scroll Excel running Android 2.3 using the offical app.
