Have you enabled the gesture in the settings?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
You have to enable it in motions. then to perform you have to use the side of your hand and it has to swype the phone left to right or vice versa. Your swyping hand must be touching phone when swyping to screen shot
I find it a bit touchy. Half the time it was slipping into the screen to manage your homescreens. But what seems to be working is if I start the motion from 'off the screen', right at the edge of the phone. Then it seems to pick it up better.

Could someone please download the app from the market, setup and let me know if you any text freezing while typing, scrolling issues while on the Internet or XDA App? It was messing with my phone but would like to know if others have issues too. (BTW... I really like the App)
Thanks

Wave Launcher is fully customizable. You can change the size, location and even thickness of the gesture-area. To change it, look for "Gesture-area presets" in the Settings screen.
The setting the works for most people and is my personal favorite is "Bottom Left - 20%". It will never interfere with the keyboard or scrolling this way.
Note that you can also have Wave Launcher automatically disable in Landscape mode which is often used for typing, games, etc.
The app is very powerful and highly customizable, please go through all the settings to make sure you make the most out of it.
Any reports guy's?

Used it and it interefered with a lot of things going on on the bottom of the phone such as opening the app drawer and typing. Just my experience others may vary.

As Mike said above.
I also tried it for a bit, and even changed the popup swipe location but it is just OK. I think bottom corner 20% was the one that worked best for me, but even then I would accidentally press the Home button. Sides are for screen sliding already, and top is for notifications, so there is not much free room to swipe around. Its a fine launcher, but I did not find it useful enough to keep.
I thought it would let me make a gesture to swipe it onto the screen, not follow my finger around everywhere, to where I cant even get rid of it without the awkward swipe back into the same corner of the screen.
What it should have is a setting on how far to follow you across the screen, so if I swipe up from bottom corner, it appears, then it follows me around but only until I get to say 50% of the screen height, then it goes away.
That way, if it appears accidentally, I dont have to swipe is back down, but simply continue the swipe up motion until it dissapears.
I tried it but didn't care for it. Holding the Home screen button essentially does the same thing. Aloso, If you're running stock then you've got your most recent apps in the notification drop down. Unless you are constantly switching between apps, it's pretty pointless.
I use mine for a quickdial and store a few contacts there. so far it hasn't interfered too much
Thanks for your feedback guys!

Not sure everyone noticed but when sliding between the 7 home screens, if you slide it slowly with your finger, then you'll notice that the widgets are starting to pop out more. This effect is just like compiz for Linux.

That's pretty cool. I also noticed when on the homescreen with the weather widget, place a finger on top left of screen, and a finger on the bottom right of screen, then swipe left finger up at same time as right finger down, it brings up the screen where it shows all 7 screens.....hope you can follow that, haahaa!

The pinching in swiping that brings up all 7 screens can be done at any position and any screen, just start by having two fingers apart and pinch in then u get it. Cool thing with 3.0 is that you can slow motion this process.
I was hoping this would be a thread about how you had enabled landscape mode on the EVO 3d like on the flyer. Stupid that EVO 3d has this rotation locked

i was hoping this was a thread that had a way to disable the carousel when swiping fast..When i want to get to a screen fast the stupid thing spins..Dumb feature, cool at 1st yes but when it comes down to every day use the carousel is stupid.
I don't know about all that pinching stuff to get the 7 screens, its easier just to hit the home button when on the home screen. I don't know if this was on my EVO 4G, but i like when I'm using the browser, you can long press the return key and it brings up the history.
You can also see the gears on the side of the flip clock.

Is there a way to turn off the carousel effect? Especially at unlock, it's really annoying and actually detracts from performance.

Nope sorry. Just download spare parts and slow down the animations so it don't take off as much.

I've learned that the carousel will only go if you swipe over more than half the screen. As long as you do short swipes it works a lot better.
When you guys flick scroll and want to stop in the middle, do you guys tap it once to make it stop. Everytime i just tap once to pause it, it keeps going afterward. I would have to double tap the screen for it to stop at the spot. Is this a feature or a bug?
Not sure. I've always stopped the 'scrolling from flinging' by putting my finger on the screen and leaving it on, and then manually scrolling, as it's not often I can fling the page and it stop where I want it when I tap the screen.
But mine does stop with a single tap. What app are you using when this happens?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using XDA App
Well, it happens on the browser. I would fling it and i would try to stop at the spot, but after i let go, it continues scrolling up.
Stock browser?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using XDA App
Same thing happens for me with it continuing to scroll. I normally just wiggle the screen a little and it stops.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using XDA App
yea stock browser. Is this normal for everybody else? It doesn't happen on my other android devices.
I don't use stock browser. Too few options. Yes it is smooth as all get out. But not enough for me.
I just tried it and it seems like to stop it you have to perfectly tap the screen without moving your finger at all (up or down), otherwise it thinks you're still scrolling.
Since it is stock there's a good chance it will get fixed by samsung at some point. I can't imagine many people liking that.

I've had my sgs2 since launch but the only thing that bugs me is the default screen. Is there any chance to have the home screen as screen 4 instead of screen 1? I remember seeing somewhere it can be done but the search is useless on my phone
sent from my fat little fingers
If your using tw 4.5 you can go to edit and drag the page you want to set as your home screen to the top (not sure about earlier versions, as I have never really used it). Other launchers such as go, adw and launcher pro all have similar options.

You should be able to select the menu button and then select edit, you will then be able to rearrange the screens to your liking.
Thanks for the reply guys, I'm using tw. When I press the home button I want the screen it goes to tto be screen 4 (middle screen same as htc sense)
I understand you can mov, them around but that still. Makes screen 1 default :-(

Are you finding the "back" button to be annoyingly out of reach?
Is there a way to switch the menu button and back buttons?
Also another quick question about the keyboard "one handed" function. Is there a way to make it full screen again without going into the settings? that seems very anti intuitive #justsayin
Yes it socks having the back button so far away but eventually I'll get on screen buttons and disable the capacitive ones. I've been using swype which is working quite well for one hand use

i am a lefty but have long enough thumbs that it is within reach. as far as going back to full keyboard, the only way i have found is to long press the key next to the space bar and it will bring up keyboard setting and then just tic the box for full screen

If you "pinch out" or "reverse pinch" horizontaly on the keyboard it goes from one handed to two handed. Sometimes! It's difficult to get it to work. "Reåerse pinch" just above the space bar and wait a second to see if it worked before trying again.
When it gets officially unlocked us southpaws wont have to worry, I believe it wont be any problem for a real good dev (we got several) to swap the back and menu button, what samsung ought to do is make it swappable for us lefties.
We will get fixed up soon, be sure to tune in to xda tv tomorrow for Adam Outlers note2 bootloader fix.
I also wish the spen was on the left side. There's needs to be a left handed specific device that caters to all of our needs!
