S-Voice Timer - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I'm making roast beef. Yum. I tell S-Voice to set the timer to 3 hours. I put my phone back on standby. Then later I return to see how much time I have left. Where do I find that timer? The S-Voice screen is empty and the clock->timer menu doesn't show any timers.
Thanks.

Just tryed this my self and timer stays in the s voice menu from what i can see. However i set a 1 minute timer and went to web and did some browsing and the timer did go off. So either you can not use s voice whilst timer is there or you stay in s voice whilst timer is running.

Alarm

Is there a way of turning my phone off at night as it charges and have my alarm clock set to a time lets say 9 Am. And at 9AM my phone will turn on and alarm will ring? is there any program or way of doing this.. thanks!
it sounds like you don't want to be bothered with late night annoying calls and text messages. some phones if you set the alarm and turn the phone off the alarm will wake up the phone and in return wake you up as well. not the raphael. so take this approach.
Set your alarm for whatever time you want to wake up. Then go to your 'Settings Tab' and click 'Phone Off'. Why do this?
- it's going to save all of the text messages you receive at night
- it will let you have full function outside of your internet and receiving/calling ability
- your phone is actually off to everyone else but you. its like your invisible.
hope that helps

[Q] How to close balance notification message automatically???

My 3G data packet data is switched on always. This shows a remaining balance notification of my data after a period of time automatically. This notification stays on my screen even after my screen goes to sleep until OK is pressed. This takes up a lot of charge at night.
Is there any way to close it automatically or at least a timeout setting so that it closes on its own ???

How to prevent dialer screen from dimming/turning off during a call

My screen dims rather quickly with the dialer on and then turns off. My default screentime out is 2 mins, but this doesn't apply to the dialer. It gets really annoying if you have to get through a couple of prompts and the screen keeps dimming. Any suggestions on how to address this? Either have the same 2 minute delay apply to the dialer, or even not have it turn off at all.
Thanks!

When I have Waze navigation on, my screen doesn't dim. When I make a phone call, I go back to Waze map screen. I can drag the phone call thingy wherever I want. If I need to mute, unmute I just click that to go back to call dialer interface for a few seconds. Then I go back to Waze screen to keep display on.
Yes, it's a wonky workaround, but it works. When I use this while driving, I make sure my phone is plugged in for charging -- because the display will stay on for the entire duration of the phone call.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm surprised there isn't a better way to address this..

How to make wake up screen on notifications last longer

heys guys, i recently downloaded a calendar app that wakes my screen up when an event gets notified, fact is it just wakes up for like 2 secs.
in the calendar app settings you can decide how much time it has to stay awake, but it doesn't work at all. even if i set it up to stay awake for 30 secs, my screen gets back to sleep in like 2 secs, i tried to change every possible setting (display stuff, battery stuff etc) but i can't find a solution to it.
any idea pls? thanks

Display turning off after 5 seconds after notification - How to extend the display going back to sleep too soon?

Before you tell me to look through the settings: there IS NO SETTING to force the screen to stay on for longer when receiving a notification! Nada! The sleep mode time has NOTHING to do with notifications or the lock screen.
So I have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro running MIUI 12. Please let me know how to fix this, because I'm already enjoyed to death. My job involves constantly receiving notifications and I'd prefer NOT to have to constantly turn the screen back on or touch the screen every 5 seconds. When the screen is turned off and you receive a notification, the screen ALWAYS shuts off after 5 seconds without exception! You can't change this. This makes it impossible to read a notification longer than 1 syllable. It forces you to either touch the screen to prevent it from going back to sleep or click the power button to turn the screen back on. So now I'm logging for a mod or an app or something to extend this automatic 5-second interval before the screen goes back to sleep after a notification.
Looking forward to extending it to at least 30 seconds! Thanks in advance!
