How is the speaker on this phone? I have the EVO 3d and the speaker on here is crappy. I get the high pitch tinning noise on pandora. I had the gs2 and it never did that and the volume is also not good on this EVO 3d.

I was about to make a post about the same thing. I have experienced this issue on both mr1 and mr3.
This also occurs when someone calls me. I can't hear them and they can't hear me. It rings and ill answer it, and it'll show connected, but no one on the other end.

I have never had this problem, but I wonder if this fixes it for everyone. Although it is checked on my phone.
I can attest that voice privacy turned off does not fix the silent calls

Beats = Bass boost.

Yes it does, but the better the headphones, the more you hear the difference, doesn't need to be beats

Yes...I'm far from a sound engineer but the Beats audio mod is a glorified equalizer in layman's terms... Used it on my old Inspire and Sensation and you can notice a small improvment in sound

So I've been trying EclipzeRemix's SpeedRoom with Beats Audio but I'm not hearing any difference between 'No Effects' and 'Beats Audio'.
I'm using decent headphones non Beats head phones (ATH-ES55) but don't hear that pronounced bass that everyone keeps talking about.
Thoughts?

Yea there is a diffrence, but you can't toggle it, but there is a pretty nice diffrence from the regular music app preset. Again you can't turn it off or change it

Yeah, the no toggling would explain why there isn't a difference.
Awesome ROM btw. Nice touch with the boot animation.

Exactly lol. I use an app that's just called "Equalizer," and it's superior to all others. I'm not sure if they are referring to that.
It should be the first equalizer that comes up with an orangish icon......I don't know how to leave a link to it
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using XDA Premium App
Oh, the OP was talking about the Equalizer I use. It is HIGHLY recommended!!! Literally THE best audio enhancing app I have ever used on an Android phone! Thanks to this app, my Galaxy Note is the first phone I've been able to effectively use as a replacement for my iPod touch. The sound quality on my old HTC EVO 4G and HTC EVO 3D, were crap. Nothing made them sound good. The Note sounded really good out of the box, but the Equalizer app took it to another stratosphere. I'm so glad I don't have to carry around my iPod, anymore. And since I have 80GB of memory on my Note, I can fit all of my songs and videos on it. I've posted the link to the app, below:

How good is it? I'm considering upgrading everything to AC, but I want to make sure it'll work with b/g/n devices too (my wife's laptop is a little old, lol)

Asus RT-AC66U is the best router I have ever owned. It handles everything I've thrown at it. B and G will use the 2.4GHz band as will some N devices. Anything that uses 5GHz I default to that frequency. I did a speed test with my HTC One on the WiFi and got 89 Mbps down and 16 Mbps up. I was fairly close to the router. It can reach all the way to the back of my house with only a bar or two signal loss. Newegg has been throwing these routers on sale every now and then, might keep an eye out.
Sweet, sounds pretty awesome...looks like I have some upgrading to do when my school money gets in! Lol
