CF-Root kernel ... which version?
v5.4 and 5.5 are using SuperSU - not superuser.
Maybe there is a conflict between those two?!
1. Try to start SuperSU app and update binary if this option appears.
2. If that does not help, flash the CF-Root kernel again to your phone.
3. If you get these root issues again, try to wipe cache partition and Dalvik cache in recovery mode.
Sometimes this can help.
Good luck !

Deleting either cache will not erase your data or apps. You can try what IT_LER suggested.
If it didnt work, One suggestion is try to download extweaks from play store. In the MISC tab, there is an option to remove root. So you can go ahead and do that. At the same time, below that option, there is a checkbox which says install root on reboot in which will install root again.
So remove root and make sure that install root on reboot option is checked then reboot.
I am also not sure why did you go with CR root method. Here is the best and safest way to root your GS2 in my opinion:
http://galaxys2root.com/galaxy-s2-root/how-to-root-galaxy-s2/
You can also try running fix permissions after re installing root from CWM advanced menu link.

ExTweaks app will check the kernel, if it is compatible.
And CF-Root kernel is not.
So, that will not work until you flash a compatible kernel, such as SiyahKernel from gokhanmoral.

No, that's why I recommend to wipe cache and Dalvik cache first to try to solve issues.
The first start after wiping the caches need a bit longer, as the system will generate the cache again ... for every app.
But it will not clear app data or apps itself or any other data on your sd card.
Only app/system cache (and Dalvik cache = Java Virtual Machine cache).
hello sir .. i tried wiping the cache ONLY ( because i dont know to wipe dalvik ) and it worked like a charm! tnx sir

Rite,
İ am new to ROMs and everything. İ downloaded FOXHOUND Sniper Wolf ROM. İ followed the instructions which are:
1. Boot into recovery mode
2. Format System / Factory Data Wipe
3. Wipe cache and also wipe dalvik cache
4. Install the zip file and you will get the CWM install completed message.
5. Select Reboot Now and let the phone boot up to an Android setup screen.
6. Setup the phone as requested
7. Reboot the phone into recovery mode again and wipe cache and dalvik cache again
8. Reboot phone and everything should be working...
On stage 5. my phone loads up to the android setup screen but a message comes up saying:
'Select and application for the USB device' and below that it says 'no application can perform this action' and another message below that ' %1$s is not responding. would you like to close it'.
İf İ try to do anything the phone just reboots and the same process keeps repeating. İ have searched but cannot find anything relating to this problem. Please help me....

Thank you for your reply but can you be a little bit more specific as İ am a newbie, İ really appreciate the help...
So i re installed the ROM but still have the same problem...
The phone does not boot for me to download another ROM.
Any other solutions?
save your important data from sd card(internal card) , copy to computer , make a hard reset(erase all internal data) flash a new rom via odin , root with cf-root via odin(i recomand xila 2 witch cf-root that u find here on xda,and xila2 room too, and then download the rom you wanted put it on your sd card,go to recovery wipe cache dalvik, wipe data factory reset, install the rom u want. after u may pasye the data you saved before on computer. good luck. for example u can save all your data witch titanium backup.
Download again the rom
Make a full wipe, factory reset,
Reinstall the rom
If that doesn't work
Install via Odin a CF root rom, and use other rom, like cm9

İs it ok if İ follow the instructions?
I use stock rom (original) I9300XXEMC2
Kernel 3.0.31-1042335 [email protected] #1
Android version 4.1.2
My phone started to be slow and laggy. When I get a call it takes about three seconds to recognize the caller. I get alot of apps crash, I mean apps suddenly closes(I started to play a short video and then 3G Watchdog and PlayerPro got close).
What could be the reason for the laggs and slowleness of the phone?
Your rom has the sds fix so it might be the fix kicking in to save your phone. First try clearing cache and dalvic in recovery and fixing permissions, if still laggy then factory reset.
what does clear dalvik and catch do? do I need to backup the phone before I do this things? (I'm not talking about the reset only clear)

It clears the cache and clears the dalvik for details use Google but Dalvik is basically VM .
Backup is not relevant to either both are rebuilt on next boot .

I don't have advanced...This is the options I have:
reboot system now
apply update from ADB
apply update from external storage
wipe data/factory reset
apply update from cache
You need CWM recovery .
Use Philz from development .

I use rom stock and original kernel I also don't have root.
Is it possible to do it without root and without changing recovery?

If you're not de-odexed (which you won't be since you're not running a custom ROM) there's not a lot "Wiping Dalvik-Cache" will do. Dalvik-Cache is used when you have dispensed with odex.
Essentially, every app you have has an .odex file.
so:
/system/app/MMS.apk
/system/app/MMS.odex
Most custom ROMs are "de-odexed" which means they get rid of all the .odex files and replace them with dalvik-cache files.
Basically what I am saying is you don 't have any to clear.
I wrote that I use stock rom so I don't want to root my phone.
don't suggest things that can't be done or I don't want to
Anyway thatks
I didn't. I told you it's irrelevant.
All you can do is factory reset or flash official roms. Or dummy file generator.

Factory reset .
Still a problem then a service centre is required .

I rooted my phone a while back and installed CWM recovery. I flashed several Roms successfuly. However when I installed my new ROM( currently omnirom) the supersu app is no longer there. I wanted to try titanium backup but when I installed it, it says I don't have root access. I redownloaded the supersu app and the install keeps failing. So I have a few questions.
1. How did I lose root access to my phone?
2. Can I install custom Roms without root access?
3. What steps should I take to regain root access?
BTW my phone model is galaxy s3 i9300 model.
If you still have access to the recovery you can probably just reflash your ROM and gapps, clean cache and dalvik cage and should be up and running again.

I still have access to CWM but my problem is how to get titanium backup to recognize my phone as having root access.
I got that. If you reflash your ROM and gapps with just deleting cache and dalvik cache and *NOT* data, you won't lose any apps and probably regain root access. Make a backup from within the recovery though. I can't tell you why titanium doesn't make a root prompt appear but this way you will probably fix it
---------- Post added at 01:48 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:47 AM ----------
Also there is possibly an option under development settings where you can choose if apps are granted root privileges. You'll want to check that option.
These are screen shots of what i see when using supersu and titanium backup. I will try your suggestion of reflashing my rom and gapps and see if that helps with anything.

Ok I got it to work by manually downloading supersu from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053
and flashing it from my recovery.

Try wiping dalvik cache in recovery. Not all phones work with A2SD.. What phobe are you using? It might be better off with Link2SD which is a bit different but it has the same premise. Reply to this post directly if you need more help or if my suggestion doesn't work, because I don't feel the need to suscribe to minor threads.

Then you probably did something at the system-level. Maybe you tried linking a system app to your sd? Your best bet (easiest fix) would be to reinstall whatever ROM you were using. I don't think you'd have to wipe data if you install the same ROM.

Ok , Im running CM 13 i9300 and it worked so well except the camera. I always got the error "Can't connect to camera" . So I was trying to fix that problem and I found couple of solution . The solution need an app that requires SuperSU permission . And It was kinda weird because there's no "permission asking" popup from SuperSU. So I open SuperSU and it told me to update SuperSU binary file. So I tried to update it and it failed. So I tried to update it manually but I found other thing which is to flash the latest version of SuperSU direct from chainfire website. I deleted the old SuperSU (The one that needs to be updated) and I flashed the new SuperSU zip and wipe dalvik cache through my TWRP Recovery and then I reboot my phone . And got stuck at the Cyanogenmod Logo . So what should I do to get my phone back to normal ? I mean back to CM13 and everything I have before. PLS HELP
Note : actually , after I flashed CM 13 . I dont have the SuperSU in my apps . So I manually downloaded it from the playstore . It's weird because it should automatically be there .

I seriously dunno about the root access at the developer settings . Now my phone is soft bricked and I'm gonna lose all of my data. Any clue on how to reflash the CM13 without deleting my stuff?(factory reset)
p/s : Yes , It's in the Developer settings
Boot into TWRP and reflash the same version of CM that was on the phone before it soft-bricked.

Should I clear data , wipe cache and dalvik , factory reset all that or just go to TWRP and just flash
You could just flash over the existing ROM without wiping. If it doesn't boot, wipe cache. If it still doesn't boot, wipe data and cache.
