The link says it's for 5.0?
sorry i said it wrong, i meant on the page for the 4.0 it says in the description, we will fix this if it is hard bricked, and then when you go to the 5.0 page or the link it says in the description, we will fix your softbrick and it doesnt say anything about a hard brick so i was wondering if they fixed hard bricks for the 5.0 but it said only for th 4.0's

If it's a jtag repair then it is for hard bricked devices.

This. I think the term "bricked" has been genericized. If your bootloader is unlocked, short of a hardware issue, it seems very difficult to actually brick. Like you have to go out of your way and mess up the bootloader
Post in the right section please.

Yeah man.
Getting stuck at the Samsung screen or a Bootloop is a "Soft Brick"
A "Hard Brick" is only when nothing does anything. The device doesnt respond to any combination of pressed buttons, screen stays black no matter what.

I think you have that backwards. Bricking a device with an unlocked bootloader is VERY possible if you start messing with files.
Its a locked bootloader that's nearly impossible to Hard Brick.
P.S. - I think we should replace the term "Brick" with "Paperweight" !

Moving to Q&A
Somebody help me with my issue
I was having RR ROM with Siyah 3.3.3b Kernel and the secondary boot is port JB
I was on the secondary boot and I was restarting I found that the device is crashed
I thought it’s the kernel so I booted the phone to the download mood and flashed a kernel again and its not working also
I tried to add new software from Odin and it was giving me errors like | failed to mount emmc
I searched the internet and by mistake I flashed the device with i9100G PIT files and I re-partitioned the device and also I flashed a new boot loader not only this but also during the flashing process my pc crashed and it restarts leaving my device with no life
I can’t even turn the device on or go to download mood or anything the only thing that let me have a faith that the mobile is still a live that its getting heat while the battery is plugged in
Anyone can help with this?
Hard Brick?
As far a I know flashing a wrong bootloader hard-bricks your phone. the bootloader is what loads first, ans then in turn loads the rest of the system. if your bootloader is broken, it will neither load recovery, DL-Mode nor the system. maybe you can find a solution to this by searching for wrong bootloader or anything of the sort.
if everything fails you would need to get a new motherboard or whatever it is called in an android phone. there are guides in this forum on this, I once used this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1253969 althogh the photos only seem to work with the old xda2010 theme.
I hope it is not what it looks like and you get your phone up and ruing again.
Bootloader had nothing to do with what went wrong for him. He flashed an I9100G pit file to an I9100.
OP, unfortunately there's nothing you can do at this point short of JTag service, or visiting/sending the phone to a Samsung service center.
find a repair center that preforms jtag near you, it should cost you about 40$

am living in Egypt we don't have Jtag services .. i saw what they can make on you-tube and am still in warranty so i don't know what to do should i pass it by the warranty should they let me pay or it will be free ?
From what i've read on this forum its better if you try to send it to samsung for warranty your chances to get it repaired is 50/50 just play dump you have nothing to loose
thanks guys for your reply i think i made an issue with the MB BOIS firmware hence it has to be hard flashed in the warranty so am scheduling the same on next Friday i hope that they will not ask for money as it was on a custom ROM
because here in Egypt Warranty is make fool of us and they always take much money to fix noob issues so guess what they can do regarding mine.
I've got my device from the warranty , its working fine now .. i need to inform you that Warranty in Egypt confirmed that flashing custom ROMs is not voiding the Warranty its just black listing the device in their records .
They are flashing boot loaders smoothly.

If its the infamous brick bug, which it definitely looks to be, then JTAG is useless.

Most likely if you're on stock 4.0.4.
i just test my device and its say that i have insane chip but memory test PASS without problem. Does its mean that my chip is from "damage line" but its not damage
If I have full stock firmware and kernel, and if I update phone via Kies only, Is there still brick bug possibility if I make factory reset?
Because this is scary and sick if this scenario is possible

Hello XDA,
I was trying to flash CM9 on my Samsung Galaxy S2, was running Stock ICS XWLP7, successfully flashed it, proceeded to CWM and Wipe Data/Factory Reset unaware of the eMMC Brick Bug, went away during the wipe process, as I came back, I saw that the phone was completely bricked. Download/Recovery Modes don't work, Odin doesn't recognize anything, can't charge phone, the phone is cold and dead. Jig or JTAG don't work either.
btw. I can't get it replaced.
1. Is this the infamous superbrick?
2.If yes, what can I do about it? If no, what is it?
Yes, looks like you've encountered the infamous superbrick
The only way to revive a superbricked phone is to send it to Samsung service center.

Then he needs to pay for a motherboard replacement, simple as that.
Also, by the way, why did you create this thread when we already have plenty of this exact topic? You could have diagnosed this easily by looking at one or more of the threads we already have without creating yet another one and waiting for same answers.
Is it insured under home insurance or bank/credit card? Otherwise it's buy a new phone or send back to Samsung for repair and pay. Good luck.

Because all the fixes were like, flash X from Odin, but the phone doesn't get recognized by Odin.
The phone was bought from Germany, Samsung Turkey refuses to replace it, it must be sent to Germany for replacement.(if possible)

And in those cases the devices were never actually "bricked" at all, those were just n00bs who couldn't fix their system boot problem and like to describe their device as "soft-bricked". In your case your device is actually "bricked" what the n00bs call "hard-bricked" when in reality their is only "bricked". If you can flash via odin or recovery your device is not bricked.
In your case you wiped your device with a buggy kernel (which has been discussed at length as I said) and only option is mobo replacement.
Well, I upgraded my android device from CM-9.1.0 to CM-10.1-20130102-NIGHTLY just to try it, and i find a lot of bugs on it, so I downgraded the phone, and when it almost finished, the phone just won't started, so I tried to load CWM Recovery with help of this post (I should have read the comments...): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1814801 because I just could enter download mode.
So, my phone got bricked, well at least I think that, because it won't turn on, and my PC won't recognize my phone (nor in the Device Manager). I have tried removing the battery and the SIM card, connect it to a PC hold Volume Up + Down and insert the battery, and it neither works :c.
It's a Hard Brick or a soft one? do you think that i should try this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=lojU5bvGz3c Please help! :c
Well, the problem might be that you flashed a ROM for an i9100 and this is the forum for the i777. Either you have the wrong phone or the wrong ROM. If you do indeed have an i9100 I hope your underwear are flame retardant because it is going to get warm up in here.
