hi i have an ATT atrix and installed multiple roms now i want back to stock ATT rom but i got confused so whats the diference using Fruit Cake or a SBF. Dont remember if original rom had webtop or not since i unlocked, rooted, flashed from the firs day i got it. It was on ATT 2.3.4 [4.5.91]
Fruitcakes are safer to use and they have webtop fixes in one of the fruitcake dl link threads...

I have a rooted Atrix on Official at&t 2.3.4 OTA.
bootloader locked
webtop unavailable.
I read you can flash gingerbread on top of this OTA? is this true?
can I use rsd to flash back to a clean copy of gingerbread or will I hard brick?
please point me to the correct thread....
Me too
I want to know too.. Except mine is unlocked and rooted on Stock GB
Can I "Clean Format" GB
If you're on 2.3.4 OTA then you're on gingerbread. What are you wanting to do?

SO if I flash the leaked 2.3.4 on top of my OTA 2.3.4 with RSD it wont brick? I'm guessing itll just reinstall?
Edit: All I want to know is if I can flash the leaked version on top of the OTA withou bricking so this way I can unlock the BL and get some ROMS....I just dont want to end up using RSD to flash 2.3.4 and end up with a paper weight
To get rid of the HSUPA upload cap I flashed the french sbf on my Bell Atrix back in may. Since then Gingerbread has been released for Bell but since there is no sbf or even a Froyo sbf for bell I can't get gingerbread on the phone.
What would happen if I flash the AT&T 2.3.4 SBF on my "Version.4.2.11.MB860.Retail.en.FR"-Atrix? Bricked?
Brick.
You would be better off doing an unlock and running a ROM if you want GB that much...

So I've read the instructions 10 times over for how to get from my current state to installing CM7.
Two questions:
Do I have to install a 2.3.4 SBF then unlock/root then install the rom? Or can I unlock my 1.8.3 and proceed to install CM7?
Second, in the IHOP thread, it seems I should be flashing the 2.3.4 SBF with pudding/root already included. But those links are down. Where can I download the needed SBF to flash?
Thanks!
Just flash the unlock SBF. you dont need to update.

Does it matter if I'm currently on greyblur and my phone thinks it's on the one before 1.8.3?

I made a orange uk 2.2.2 stock froyo.
There doesn't seem to be any 4.4.20.en gb fruitcakes about.
I can download the update but how would I go about installing the update without bricking? So I can gain a stock orange uk gb version fruitcake?

In theory you should be able to install an AT&T GB fruit cake and make the appropriate mods to work with your carrier (or whatever carrier). When kyler084 made his UK Froyo fruitcake, AT&T users got it working just fine apparently.

Yeah there never was a orange uk stock 2.3.6 thats why im doing one for uk users.
Got froyo just need to upgrade now to 2 .3.4 then to 2.3.6 to gain the appropriate fruitcakes for each version.
Can I aadd the system folder in ota to the already 2.2 .2 or does all files need to be patch so need to use the system folder with all files ending in. P?

I understand now. I assumed this was for cheesecaking. Good luck. UK fruit cakes are definitely needed.

I dont understand what you are asking. A stock rooted GB ROM? The only GB ROMs we have that are worth looking into is Eclipse and CM7. Eclipse is more stock as in how you baught the Droid X2. CM7 is more stock as in pure android (AOSP). And again, I dont know what you mean by "losing my flash so I cannot sbf to stock"
My x2 is flashed to cricket cause I can't afford Verizon. Sbf to stock would mean losing that flash putting the phones network back on Verizon making it unusable and would be paper weight. I want a stock moto DROID rom like blur
