I am trying to Munjeni CM9, but the boot screen has been loaded for 30min. How long does it takes for the first boot?
Did you have sd-ext and did you wipe it before installing the rom? Did you install gapps directly?

It's supposed to take approximately 3-5 minutes. Have you tried clearing the dalvik cache?
The boot loop can happen if you don't do a full wipe before or perhaps you have installed directly from Rom Manager.
Try the following:
-Download and note the location of both the ROM and the ICS-specific GApps.
-Boot into recovery.
-Wipe data and cache
-Install rom from SD card (install the ROM)
-Install rom from SD card (install the ICS-specific GApps)
-Reboot

how do i install it? im new to this and i need to know if i just flash the most current or do i have to flash a older version then do the new one?
You have to root your phone, and install a custom recovery.
If you already have that, just follow the instructions in the post:
For all users:
-Download Malice.zip and place on your sdcard.
-Boot into Clockwork Recovery and Wipe Data/Factory Reset Before You Move On.
-Flash Malice.zip.-While still in recovery: Wipe Cache Partition, and inside the advanced menu: Wipe Dalvik Cache and Fix Permissions
-Just These Three Steps, Do Not Factory Reset Again.
-Reboot Your Phone AND LET IT SIT. (I know you're excited, but its for the best.)
-After about 10 minutes, you should reboot again to clean things up and wipe out any bugs.
-Enjoy!
The above instructions are perfect, I've recently gone back to malice from simply honey. Don't forget to check out the themes for it as well. I'm using ice blue edition, and the assassin theme looks nice too.
Enjoy the nice ROM.

Do you have Clockwork installed form the Market? If so, you may have to Reinstall Packages twice in the 4 option recovery menu. That shoudl get you into CWR after the second one.
Make sure you have downloaded ROM manager from the market and have installed clockwork recovery from there first. Then if you are in the stock recovery, chooses reinstall packages.... You might have to do this twice I below to get into clockwork.... It's been a while since I've been on stock but that should get you in.

Apart from asking the dev i suggest a full wipe and clean flash may cure the usual Kernel Panic .

If you just relax for a minute , take a deep breath and start from the beginning. Listen to what people are telling you. Follow step by step from the beginning. Read what the developer says on flashing the rom and then it will work. Almost impossible not to get the rom working after that. It will all come together mate. Read a lot of posts. Good luck.

I install twrp which did not work well, i would do a backup but could not load any of them. So went back to cwm. I wanted to go back to cm9 cause cm10 is just not good for a daily tab, i don't get the reboots anymore but the battery life is worse then my cell phone! I tried doing a clean install of cm9 and it gets stuck on the boot animation....i tried a few time doing different wipes, ect with no luck....anyone else had this problem or and thoughts? Thanks

Which boot animation are you getting stuck with and is it bootlooping? It could possibly be kernel related.
cyanogen Cm9 (tried all versions) boot animation, just keeps going as if everything is fine but never stops. If i then load any version of nt cm10 it boots like normal. I read some other cm10 related forums about batt drain and said change cpu to hotplug. I tried on the nt and i no longer have bad batt drain. So maybe i can stay on cm10 but would still like to know why i can't go back? Also reboot to recovery doesn't work, have to get in cyanoboot to enter recovery.
Thanks for the response

How long are you waiting at the boot animation? The first boot can take a pretty long time.

I let it sit 20 the last time I tried just to be super safe and sure it was not working. Now that the battery drain and sod issues have been fixed I am quite happy with cm10.....hotplug was the key!

Hello my friend has a Vibrant and I rooted it... It's been running AOKP and now it's on ICS CM9... But whenever I try to flash a CM10 or any JB rom it doesn't boot and it just turns on and then goes to a screen where it look like some sort of android surgery with a red triangle and then goes straight into recovery... What must I do? I wiped everything! I've tried many different JB roms and no luck

With the JB ROMs, you will need to flash them probably 3 times. So wipe cache, dalvik cache, and data in recovery, then go to mounts and storage (still in recovery) format system. Flash the ROM of your choice, most likely it will not complete flash and put you back in recovery. If it does, install zip again (no wipes) if it doesn't and tries to boot, pull battery, use button combo to get back to recovery, install zip again (no wipe), this time it might complete but to be sure install zip a third time, again no wipe, install the gapps zip, and reboot. You should be running JB!

I just tried switching from CM11 to OmniROM and have hit a bit of a problem. The initial boot of OmniROM works fine, but rebooting after the first boot causes the phone to hang at the yellow triangle. Tried to follow instructions here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2544790 .
Initial install was done from CWM, I flashed Renderbroken's OmniROM kernel for CWM, then I ran mr-cook's wipe, installed the i777 OmniROM from 1/24, then installed paranaoid android's gapps mini, then rebooted. Everything seemed fine, but after the first reboot it hung at the yellow triangle screen.
Rebooted into recovery, this time in TWRP I installed the zips from the SD card and added all 4 to be installed in succession, this time Renderbroken's OmniROM kernel for TWRP, mr-cook's wipe, i777 OmniROM from 1/24, then gapps mini. This time I wiped cache and wiped dalvik before reboot. Booted fine, ran well, but still hangs on a reboot.
Can download a new copy of the ROM in case there are any issues, but didn't see any other posts on that.
Any suggestions?
Curious indeed.
Let's try something simpler;
put the omnirom.zip on the internal sd
from TWRP recovery:
-wipe cache, dalvik, data & system.
-install Omnirom
boot the system (initial boot), reboot the system.

I got tired of waiting and risked it and it worked perfectly, thanks! Left it for 5 min after initial boot, rebooted normally, rebooted normally a second time (just to make sure). After that I downloaded the PA Micro Modular Google Apps (instead of the mini I used previously) and rebooted to recovery to install that, several more reboots and haven't had a problem yet.
Thanks for your help Cyril and thanks for the main i777 thread too.
id guess a corrupt download.
