I have been on AOKP and it was fine then i wiped data, cache, dalvik and installed overcome and the problem appeared, i also tried bindroid and same problem, i need a rom with a working camera for my p7500.. I tried wiping battery stats and battery calibrator app from play store but problem persists, can anyone help me. ?
Anyone ? it's really upsetting and driving me crazy !! i tried everything !! it is not a consumption issue but i guess it is a battery calibration issue

Get the app called better battery stats from the xda and cpu spy to see if your tab is deep sleeping and bbs to see the wake locks to see if there is a rogue app draining your battery

I charge and unplug my phone everyday and found that the battery usage is weird recently. Any idea? Thanks.
Try to clear the battery stats from CWM recovery?
I also seem to be having this problem.
Tried wiping battery stats and tested over 3+ cycles of charging, yet still the battery usage is all over the shop with roughly the same amount of use.
I did the Battery Calibration after I flashed the rom and the battery usage was fine after that, just recently weird.
I will clear the battery stat and see what will happen. Thanks guys.
Been using Oxygen since the past 2 days, the best ROM lately for me..
But this is one problem I encountered today.. there was 53% left and I'd been using the phone for quite some time like 1-1.5hrs and there was no drop in battery percentage (I know battery life on this ROM is good, but this was too good to be true)
I even checked in settings-about phone-status-battery level.. 53% there too.
I did a reboot, and percentage went down to 19%
Attached is the screenshot.
Notice the graph going horizontal and then vertical.
Turn off your wifi before you let your device go into sleep.
sounds like an unexpected solution, but will try doing that. thanks.
EDIT: I DID NOT turn wifi on. you can see from the screenshot, there was no screen on when wifi turned itself on. weird.

Yes there is, as you see wifi was on when you are not using the phone
I had this same problem with GingerLol ROM. Now that I'm using cm9, I cannot test if it solves the problem.
The above solution had worked for you, yash3339?
Thanks for the answer, nocterum!
@malfatti: It did work for me I guess, mainly because I know what's causing the problem, and it's pretty avoidable.
Thanks nocterum.
If you have the cwm recovery, there is an option to delete battery stats. First download a battery calibration app. After the battery is charged to 100% reboot into recovery and delete the battery stats. then reboot normally and run the battery calibration app. Unplug your phone and use it until it fully discharges and turns off. Then recharge it again and you should be good to go. I was having similar problems running the IHO CM7 build but that fixed my problems completely.

I think that you were lucky when it fixed for you, just a coincidence... deleting battery stats in recovery does the same thing as deleting using battery calibration app... and also, if your phone is charged to 100% and you unplug it, battery stats are wiped automatically... and they have nothing to do with the percentage shown... battery stats are the info about what apps used how much battery, for how long, wakelocks, etc... it does not help battery in any way...
And this thing happens because the % shown is just an approximation of battery %...
About wifi thing, how can it get enabled by itself??? You said you were using the phone that time, but then you say you didn't use Wi-Fi??? I think you start to believe battery stats more than you believe your own brain...

This happen to me couple of times in lupo's cm9 too

Hello,
i just noticed that for some reason my battery stats with omega v11 rom are gone.
Have no idea when this could have happen but not longer then two days ago it was all in place.
Is there a way i can troubleshoot what coused this problem? Anyone noticed anything similar after, say something specific installed on? As of my example i didnt flash anything specific before i noticed this bug.
Thanks for you help
Hi, I had the exact same display after flashing the latedt official samsung furmware, even the CPU time was identical. I removed battery for a couple of minutes then did an uninterrupted charge to 100 % overnight, the next morning I unplugged and the stats returned as normal
Good luck, it should work.

philby123 thanks for the info. I still have 48% of juice so will try your method this evening.
cheers
FYI taking out the battery and replacing it after couple of minutes doesnt change anything...
Put phone on charge to 100%
. Reboot phone and use it battery stats are rebuilt .
That is if you mean the battery stats .
If you mean the settings / battery application then that is not battery stats .
In which case reflash the rom .
jje
thanks folks.
it worked what was described in post 2.
fully recharged the phone (while it was off) and usage stats came back to life.
Great

Hi
I have a galaxy tab 10.1 3G version it was working ok until I faced this problem
The problem is that the battery works fine until it reaches 50% it drops to 3% instantly !!!!
I tried changing the Rom but no change. Also I wiped battery status after charging the battery fully but nothing happened .
Has any one faced this problem or know the solution?
Thanks in advance
I have that same problem. If you actually searched in google, it is because the battery is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced.
use battery calibration app from playstore.......it should solve ur problem .....if not then definitely bad battery
no other options
cheers
HIT THANKS BUTTON IF I HAVE HELPED
Ok, so i had this problem also.
What worked for me was disconnecting the battery for approx 1 hour.
Re-connected, fully charged, no hassles any more.
Edit: Tried calibration apps previously, they didn't help.

install better battery stats or wakelock detector or the loke and find what is eating the battery. On stock with the screen off you should get 8 to 10 days standby with no use
I was having this problem recently, and checking the battery stat, I see Gmail is eating up all the battery even when the screen was off.
Gmail? Seriously?
So I looked at the Gmail app stat, and see the cache was at 1.4Gb in size! I cleared the cache and now, it is back to normal.
Have no idea why the cache was that big, nor why that contributed to the battery drain, but check your battery usage. If Gmail is eating up the battery life, follow my example to see if that helps.
