It will charge when its usb to PC but not wall.
Anyone have the problem before and know if its fixable?
Tried 2 different Cables that worked before also will try again when home with official charger.
The wall charger will be the problem most likely since most cells use 500mha to charge and the ATRIX charger uses upto 1000mha the ATRIX wount even recognize a charge cycle with less then 600 mha

I tried charging the note via a PC and its charging extremely slow compared to being plugged in to the wall, is that normal? I know the USB port has a limited power output, but I did not know it was THAT slow.
Yes it's normal.... Nothing to see here move along...

Yea , low Mamp out of usb on pc (normally 500ma) and thw wall outlet plug is a 1A plug.
Your talking half the speed and double the charging time of the AC charger

If you have USB 3.0 charge it there, on par with AC charging for me. But my PC doesn't recognize as mass storage when plugged in the 3.0 slot and I have to go to my 2.0 port for file transfer etc.

Whenever i plug my dna into my computer to charge via usb and turn my screen display on to use, the battery either doesnt charge or goes down in %. I find it kind of weird that the phone is using enough power with just the display on to counter the charging. Is anyone else seeing this occur or is my device defective?
Not entirely sure. I know when the phone is fully charged it stops charging so you don't "overcharge" your battery, it just runs off the AC.
Did you try another USB port on your computer?
probably not getting enough power from the USB port
I'd return it.
Sounds defective to me.

Chances are its just your usb port. A lot of usb hubs can't put out the correct voltage/amperage to support the processor and screen from using the battery quicker than it can charge. Don't return it. Try it on the supplied charger. If it continues to do that even on the OEM charger then yes return it.

Bought one of the 3FHUBEG HDTV adapters today to mirror my S3 onto my tv. According to the guide i should plug the official charger into the adapter and then plug the charger into the wall. When i do this i get NOTHING on my tv screen and the phone will not charge. I thought the adapter was DOA so after trying many things i removed the wall charger and instead i plugged the usb into my pc and voila it worked and the phone started charging and the S3 mirrored onto my tv.
It seems to be working okay this way but why isnt it working when i plug the usb end of the charging cable into the uk plug adapter and then connect it to my socket? Would i be doing any damage by just powering it via usb on the tv?
Im really confused. I charge my phone normally overnight and it works no problem with the usb charging lead plugged into the wall socket and then the micro usb into the phone but for some strange reason the phone will not power the HDTV adapter this way and will only work by USB power and not mains power. Any help appreciated. :good:
Check your cable first, some of them have 4 pins only and this can be a reason. If not, I'm not sure but wall charger have 1A output and this can be too much for adapter. USB output is 550mA so nearly half of it. Charging from USB won't damage anything, it'll only take longer to charge your phone.

It's definately a 5 pin and its an official cable. I'm just concerned as every video i've seen etc shows the charger being plugged into the wall. When i was charging it via usb, as its a slower charge, the phone seemed to be losing more power using the HDTV adapter than the charge was capable of charging, i.e the phone battery was draining power quicker than the USB could charge it. Absolute mystery.
Hmmm, maybe it's just so badly made...

Wouldn't surprise me with Samsung. I actually bought this adapter so i can stream certain things from my phone to the tv as the browser i have on my Samsung SMART tv is pants. Common theme developing here :silly:
So... since getting the update, it's become a pain to charge my phone. It's stuck in usb host mode each time I plug it into the charger, the only time it charges is after the phone is completely dead and off. Any solutions? It's pretty frustrating. Thanks.
I realize this is a bit of a late reply but I get that, too. But only on certain chargers. I can charge fine via USB to computer, wall adapter, or wireless charging. But the cable I have in my car shows this host mode - cannot charge. I'm going to try the car charger that I got with the phone when I get home (currently using the one from my Motorola Bionic since that has been in the car).
Edit:
In my case using the other car charger works as it should.
