Hi Guys,
I have the galaxy s3 or a week now, must say a WOW device
But I keep facing this issue. When ever I play a media file in non of the phone native apps such as winamp BS Player, the phone vibrates in a crazy way and will never stop until the file is paused or closed.
any issues with the hardware ?
By the way my phone is rooted with CF-root

No luck anyone

[Q] Two Major Problems with the S3 (Help)

Ok so I've had the S3 since yesterday and needless to say its a pretty incredible piece of kit.
However I've encountered two problems I can't get around;
1. I can't seem to get my music player onto the lock screen to easily change track, I've tried a variety of players but none seem to take over the lock screen no matter what settings are used? Anyone know a fix?
2. Whenever I use the internet on my phone using desktop mode or any internet browser, when trying to watch videos other than on Youtube I always get the "You need Flash" instead of the video, I never had this problem on my Note...
Are there any quick fixes to this? I don't want to root my device...
For 2) it's probably a case of you needing to go the Play Store and downloading Adobe Flash

Haha
I would have thought by the fact i'd posted here it would have been assumed Id already downloaded Flash .
I have Adobe Flash Player 11 with the fix for ICS, however playing videos I could on my Note just isn't happening on the S3 and i'm not sure why!

If there are videos with commercials, it can be that the popup blocker of the browser blocks them.
It happened to me too just because the website I tried, needed to have the commercials downloaded first before it could start the playback.
Are you using the same browser on both phones?
About the first problem it works ok for me so i really dont know. (stock music player)
the above two problems are not major!! i will tell you a major problem and that is an auto focus issue while recording video looses its focus and moves too and fro awkwardly video help help!
I have the same problem as number 1: The stock music player on the galaxy s3 does not appear to have any control on the lockscreen. It's strange because on my Galaxy S it works perfectly.. Anybody have ideas on how to resolve the issue, without going to 3rd party apps/widgets?
It's annoying but at least you can pull down the notification bar and get it there.
Also the headphones do volume but not tracks... F'n annoying.
I find the music player a bit ****, wish I had access to Google Play Music from 4.0.
The only way is pull down the notification bar

In order for you to play the videos using the browser, you need to switch back to android mode(phone mode), the flash player, especially the adobe one, do not support desktop mode.
To sort it, you need a flash player that supports desktop mode which i don't know if there is already existing app like that.
So, there is no way to get it working properly, only notification bar? That's weak..
Btw. I have also problems with flash. Youtube works fine but sometimes it just keeps loading and doesn't play ( from the internet browser). What's the deal with all these issues, I thought SG3 will be flawless..
I wanted to follow up on this, I find the music player extremely annoying. The headphones not changing track I can live with for the time being.
Any solution on how to access the on screen music player besides the notification bar from the lock screen?

Music just keeps stoping

Hi guys
Getting fed up every time I try to play my music it keeps stopping and I have to keep restarting the music.
I do not have my phone rooted at all.
Does anyone know why it's happening.
Thanks for any help guys

I have this problem as well, I figured it was because all my music was on a Class 2 SD card and the player would stop if the next file didn't load quick enough.
It only plays so much of the song then stops.
But I installed TSF launcher and played the music with no problems at all hmmmmm.
So what's going on?
Sent from my GT-I9300
yes i've experienced that random stop in previous XXALEF.
and no it's not because of the microsd card because i have a class 6 not class 2 as mentioned here. and i've used this microsd full of mp3s in my previous phones.
never experienced it again on XXALF6.
I'm on XXALF2
like I said my phone is not rooted at all.

Did you try a different music player?
Not yet will give it a try

Likely you are experiencing this due to low RAM. If you installed a new launcher and it works fine then the Touchwiz launcher probably uses a lot of RAM causing music to stop.

That just can't be... Proof is here:

I've only ever had this in the past using faulty headphones. Maybe not related to your issue though but never know.

Given up using my phone for music because of this, all music players gave me issues whilst browsing, just listen to the radio now. Crap. I'd try a reboot though, helped me shirt term.
You can always try on another rom (with more RAM free). Or try other headphones just in case
I have had this on a few occasions with the default player .What i discovered was a message flashed up (not persistent notification so probably missed it before) saying no track exists or track not found. Cant recall exactly the message but looking into it realised some tracks were in different formats so basically player couldn't read them so instead of moving to next shuffled track player just stops.
Other thing is some of my music files are in bit of a mess due to importing to SD cards ,phones etc using various apps and methods few wav Flac aac in the mix to.
So just an idea to check your music files with a file manger see everything is in order and which formats though i think default player is meant to play most formats.
Personally i mostly use Poweramp have for few years on devices, like the default player but cant scrobble and prefer widget with no background
I'd say this is a problem with the software. I have had this problem as well. Samsung will need to look into this for sure. If my music gets interrupted at all, i have to kill the process and start it again. I'm not sure if the problem lies in communication between BT, aux jack or what.
Maybe its due to the motion control..Go to settings>Motion>Go to "Turn over to mute/pause" option> Turn it off> Might solve the problem, Not sure!:silly:
Also try turning off "Palm touch to mute/pause" option in "Settings>Motion" itself

Interesting, think you maybe on to something with that palm touch thing, after all I've taken loads of screenshots in my pocket..
After upgrading my phone to ZSALF1 (hong kong bought), this seems to have fixed the problem with the music starting.
Incidentally, I also turned off the motion to capture the screen as I also had taken screenshots in my pocket. Annoying.
Cheers

Hi,
i am searching for an Video Player that Plays the Video while the Screen is switched Off.
I am using the Samsung Galaxy S2 device, and all Video Players from the Play Store i tried are stopping the Video when i switch off the Screen.
It might seems unusual to play a video while the Screen is switched off, but i hope someone could help me.
I asked this on some other Internet-Forums, but no one was able to help me, so i was hoping to find someone on the biggest comunity i know.
Sorry for my bad English.

[Q] Music just stops for no reason

I've tried using Apollo and Play Music apps, and each of them just randomly stop playing music after a while. By that I mean apps compeltely stop working, you can change tracks, it just doesn't play anything at all, and the timer show 0:00 and doesn't go anywhere. It can only be fixed by restarting the phone.
I have CM11 M9 version installed on my device with CWM 6.0.5.0 (i think) on it. What could be the cause of this? It is very annoying.
This has been discussed ad nauseam recently......this is a KNOWN ISSUE with CM11 Roms.....
A little reading and you would have found this out without starting a new thread.....if there is a fix, then it's a work in progress, and has not been included in any rom......
If it's a deal breaker, the only thing you can do is revert to a JB based rom.....
