Recently my phone has started freezing on the ring lock/main sense launcher/face unlock screen, then turns off, thus requiring a full boot up. This has only recently started and has only happened away from home. Extremely frustrating.
The crash log leads me to believe it's something to do with single core power saving mode disabling when I turn the phone back on, but I don't know for sure. Stock ROM not rooted.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Having a problem with the screen not turning off whether it's set on a timer or smart stay. The strange part is it is only when I turn off Wi-Fi power save to keep from getting booted from my network. When I reboot my phone, screen turns off fine. As soon as I turn off Wi-Fi power save, the screen just stays on unless I got the power button. Anyone else experiencing this issue or know a workaround?
AT&T
Stock rooted
Im having this problem too.
Any ideas anyone?
Doesnt turn off when I was at stock.
Im on team sonic with trinity now and its the same problem.
I am currently on Android Revolution HD 4.0. I wanted to update my phone to ARHD 5.1. I was told that it is not necessary to flash the firmware so i just ignored flashing the firmware and updated to 5.1. After i rebooted the device the phoen was stuck on the htc one x screen and would not move for more than 10mins. so i restored all my 4.0 data and boot. After restoring the data i was back on my phone working and realized that airplance mode was on so i went to turn it off. on the screen showing the airplane mode wifi and etc. the airplane mode button is stuck on off with the status turning off. and the wifi on on with turning on status. If anyone know how to fix this i would really appreciate it. I am planning on flashing 4.0 again just so the phone works.
this is pretty much how it looks no matter how long i keep it on that screen or do anything it is stuck like that. i can not call or use wifi.
Hi, I have a 2 week old handset which has now twice displayed a pretty strange/annoying bug.
I have been using no Stamina settings other than location based WiFi and queue background data for the most part to gauge battery life under my normal work schedule but I noticed last week that my saved WiFi at home wasn't on, so instinctively I tried to click the WiFi symbol but to no avail.
I then tried to restart the phone, but when pressing the power off option, it simply booted me back on to the screen I was on before hand. This continually happened until I got pee'd off and repaired it.
Again today I ran into the exact same problem. No WiFi and I could not power off. After several attempts at powering off I managed to get it to boot into safe mode where I started uninstalling apps to rule out any rogue apps. I still couldn't reboot forcing me to repair and wipe the phone.
I keep telling myself that this is merely a software bug and I can't seem to find other posts where people are suffering similar problems.
So I futilely ask, has anyone ever had anything similar happen to theirs?.
Yeah I think this is a software bug too, a similar thing has happened to me a couple of times with the wifi becoming "stuck" and rebooting the phone fixed it but if you're having trouble shutting down your phone, have you got quickboot enabled? Regardless of that though, you do have two options to force a restart, either hold volume up and power, this will force shutdown or press the small red button next to the sim card tray.

I am pretty sure it is the quick boot option now. Stupid bug.
Phew...don't have to return it now.
I think sony have disabled the quick boot functionality for some reason, I ticked it thinking it might be almost like a reboot instead of power off & then power on, later I noticed the power off menu wasn't doing anything when tapping it, was almost about to do a reset but then remembered I ticked the quick boot option.
Hope they enable it in future updates.
Just encountered a little problem today. From the beginning: My Note 3 was rooted/TWRP'd running Vision X 3.0. Gave my wife my new G3 and took the Note 3 back. When I wiped her data in TWRP and restored a backup (same ROM) the 4GLTE icon started flashing on and off. I wiped complete again, installed a new ROM and did the same. Then I Odin'd to the new update. Same issue. I did encounter an issue with switching the phones earlier in the day. I had to get Sprint to do it via chat due to the Note 3 not being deactivated/reactivated correctly when I tried through the site. So I am guessing it could be a bad SIM card or they muffed something during activation. It will at times stop flashing and give me full LTE, but if I reboot or shut the phone off/back on it starts flashing again and the phone gets warm. It will sometimes stop/start if I mess with Connections Optimizer too, either checking or unchecking. Appears to be trying to connect to LTE but something is preventing it from locking on. I would appreciate it if anyone that has run into this before can give me some ideas. I do have a service center in town, and will go in the AM if I cannot find a solution anywhere else. I have never encountered this before.
Also in settings for data, Mobile State flashed between Connected/Disconnected and Mobile Network Type flashes between LTE/Unknown along with the LTE icon in status bar.
Tried killing data and all that. Airplane mode etc.. Sprint service center says it may happen when updating and will calm down in a couple of days..I don't think it was the update since I didn't update until after it started.
Also failed to mention when I switch to CDMA only in Data settings it will stay on 3G and doesn't flash. Has to be an LTE issue. And it is not the towers in the area because the G3 is fine.
Since it's broke anyway, going to Odin NC5 and see what happens. Tried freezing Connections Optimizer and flashing a new Kernel but didn't work either.
EDIT: Nope. That didn't work either. Ugh
Apparently it was a Sprint issue. Had to let it ride for a day or so and now back to normal. LTE is good again. Was an issue on their end when something went wrong during the phone swap.
Had this same problem with my Galaxy Grand Prime and rebooted in safe mode and it stopped. Safe mode disables all 3rd party apps. It is a 3rd party app causing the problem. I had to turn phone off, turn back on and hold volume down button after seeing Samsung logo popup, then wait for the safe mode to appear in lower left corner and release the button. Flashing stopped after that. Turned safe mode off and its still good so far. Hope this helps someone!!
I have a HTC Desire 610, rooted.
All of a sudden my phone randomly restarts but it stays in the boot logo forever until I force restart my phone.
My phone also freezes while in use and If I press the power button the screen goes black but you can't turn it back on, requires a force restart
It seems to only happen when I actually use my phone like tapping on apps and things, if my phone is idle it doesn't really happen (sometimes it does)
Also it my SD card says it's been removed so I have to take it out and put it back in.
I've done virus scans, deleted some apps and nothing helped.
This happened all of a sudden and I am not sure how or why.
I rarely drop my phone (i have a good case) and I never got my phone wet.
