Do galaxy note csses fit the tab 5.0
Sent from my EVO using XDA
Doubt it. The Note has a 5.3" screen, so it's slightly larger than the SGP 5.0 is.
And, also, Galaxy Note is thinner, than 5.0, so, even if Note was 5 inches, player is too "fat" for it's case/

I know that both are Super Amoled HD... but are they using a better panel on the s3? Or does it look pretty much the same?
Thanks
Pretty much the same... the only difference is that samsung have fine tuned the display on the gs3 so whites look better as do other colours.
Samsung saying they have put pixels closer together is marketing bs.

I have a galaxy nexus and a galaxy S3 and there is a clear difference between the screens.
I have the colours tuned on my galaxy nexus and the S3 is still miles better.
Its sharper and more vibrant.
They may both be the same tech (super amoled HD) but they used better panels for.the S3.
This chip flies. Samsung absolutely needs to be given another nexus phone. This would be the ideal setup imo.
4.65 inch superamoled hd plus (shrunken version of note II screen) (or pentile if they can't make an rgb layout)
exynos 5250
2gb ram
8 mp camera from s3, note II
2100 mah battery or larger.
This thing must scream when not having to drive 2560x1600. Its still really fast even while handling that. I really wish google had a samsung nexus phone as well.
A15 chips will be in next years phones.
The Redmi 4 Prime has the same specs, its cheaper, its out for a while now, slightly better design (no ugly plastic caps on top and bottom) and has its source code released.
Why does it still seem that the note 4 (snapdragon) is more popular than the 4 prime?

Maybe the 5.5" screen is more desirable? A few years ago a 5.5" screen was considered crazy big, but in the last year or so look at all the bigger screens that are becoming the norm e.g. galaxy s7 edge, honour 6x, Moto G4, LG g4, pixel XL, even iPhone catering for a bigger screen preference with the 6/7 plus. It looks like things are going to get Although I think the main market is for the 5-5.2" size that the majority prefer, a lot of the big flagships year are pushing the boundary again, look at the LG g6 (5.7") and it looks likely the Galaxy S8 will have a bigger screen than the S7. The good thing is they are squeezing in bigger screens onto a smaller footprint, look at the redmi note 4, it has pretty small bezels/forehead/chin for a 5.5" device.

Redmi 4 prime is not yet available globally
It is not available everywhere . Even I didn't know until you posted.
Nothing's really wrong with my current tablet, I was wondering if the screen was noticeably better or the S-Pen made a big difference.
I have an Tab S1 10.5" myself and i use it mostly for watching my Anime video`s so the S2 and S3 are not of interest to me.
The S1 was best for Video because of the 16:10 aspect ratio, also it had a rgb-stripe screen and the dpi higher than the S2 and S3 have a 4:3 aspect ratio and a cheaper pentile display, so you would have large black boarders at the top and bottom of the screen, though the S2 and S3 is better for browsing and art and writing, also the S3 might be better for audio as it has 4 speakers.
Below is a link to a comparison of the specs between the S1, S2 and S3

I cannot comment on S3 colour accuracy and the new hdr mode, but it`s supposed to look great.
If anybody want to know about rgb-stripe and pentile pixel patterns.

I just did the same, and I jumped from the Tab S1 (wifi) to S3 (lte) and honestly the only benefit you get is better frame rates in some heavy/demanding games.
I mainly got the S3 because I wanted a tablet with LTE, and after the amazing S1 screen, I couldn't get any less than the S3.
So the answer is no, don't spend you money unless you want something very specific (like in my case).

The screen is much brighter on the s3. As someone said it is smaller.
Your battery is wearing out too. But I think the 10.5 had a better battery life.

I have a Tab S3 right now, and I'm considering upgrading it to either S5e or S6.
All I care for is the display quality for watching movies and HDR content. I have read that they both have same screen, but S6 has HDR10+ certification? Can anyone confirm the difference between nits?
I have the Galaxy Tab S6 WiFi now 1 day.
One thing I saw is that compared to my Tab S4 the display of the S6 is a little less bright even with full HDR in use the S4 display is a bit brighter.
Testet it with a YouTube Video 1440p HDR10 in both Tabs at the same time.
So if you go just for the display then I would say don't upgrade from the Tab S4.
Edit: I can confirm that the Tab S4 and the Tab S6 have more nits then the Tab S3. But the king is still the Tab S4 on that..
I have s6 one day, before had s5e few months.
New tab has only 2 screen profiles compared to Samsung classic 4 modes.
Subjectivity, natural mode is excellent white balanced and calibrated. Beter then s5e which goes to red white. S4 I never owned and s3 was maybe best calibrated. S2 9.7 also was good. Subjectivity.
Of course, measurements must say that.
Sharpness is superb, maybe little better then s5e, but very similar screens.
Unfortunately, I sold s5e before got this. Direct compare would say all.
Someone will post that probably on YouTube
Just to make you aware that not all display you'll get be the same. The guy who mentioned his S4 having a brighter screen might just have a bad batch screen. Plus he's not using anything to accurately measure it. My S6 comes today, so I'll see how it is.
