Ok I tried to flash "Mind Blown" kernel this yesterday morning and I haven't been able to mount internal or external storage ever since. I was running Axura 2.2.8.8 with the lag fix disabled and flashed Eugene's kernel and upon booting was stuck in a boot loop. I decided to try and run recovery mode but noticed that my sd card read no data. Upon an odin back to stock I realized that I could no longer mount internal nor external storgae and got the error in recovery mode I
E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 (or /dev/block/mmcblk0)
(Invalid argument)
E:Can't mount SDCARD:
Once my vibrant boots it says internal storage damaged and external says missing or invalid mount point. I flashed kernels, roms and virtually everything I possibly know how to do, and now I need the help of an absolute wiz. Guys i really need your help with this one, I'm totally lost.
Hi, I have a big problem, the recovery 5.0.0.7 cmw not mount the internal memory, and gives me this error: " E:Unable to open ums lunfile (no such file or directory); how can i fix this?

I have the same problem. As far as I can remember, I mounted internal sdcard as USB storage before (and connected to the computer). Looks like path to /sys usb-host LUN device has changed in new kernel and has not been changed in CWM recovery. Does anybody has ideas?
Unfortunately, I didn't find cwm recovery sources in google so can't fix the problem myself
The issue exists in all CWM Recoveries 5.0.2.7. Surprisignly, the pathes are fully correct (looked into binaries inside)
Actually, if you're on USB, you can share either partition or emmc itself with your PC by means of issuing command in adb shell:
echo /dev/block/mmcblk0 > /sys/devices/platform/usb_mass_storage/lun0
to unmount, type
echo "" > /sys/devices/platform/usb_mass_storage/lun0
"Sharing" the whole disk is strongly not recommended as you can break GPT (partition table) of emmc, and your phone will be bricked.
You do this on your own risk.
cannot post in the correct thread in developers as i am a noob member but following the noob thread when i get to the step to mount the sdcard in recovery i cannot. i keep getting the error
E:can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk1p1 (or /dev/block/mmcblk1)
(no such file or directory)
what exactly are you trying to do? a little more info would be nice. you said you are trying to mount in recovery? for what reason?
Aren't the SD Cards auto mounted in Amon-Ra recovery? Wouldn't that error be due to the fact that they're already mounted?
Use Amon-Ra or Clockworkmod; While in recovery mount SD card.
I had to restore my laptop back to original factory settings for it to recognize my phone.
had nothing to do with the rezound, my computer woulndt install any new drivers..
if I had usb debugging turned on the computer wouldnt find the sd card or internal storage, as soon as I clicked usb debugging off, bang found sd card. I suggest trying this.
Hello,
I have a bootloop on my SGS 2 after flashing PhilZ-cwm6-ZSLPQ-OZS-3.99-signed.zip in recovery.
I had installed the MIUIV5 ROM : SGS2-3.8.23-FR-signed.zip on a Siyah kernel but we are supposed to have a new kernel for JB that is why I tried this PhilZ's kernel
the error messages are : E: failed to mount exfat /dev/block/mmcblk1p1 /sdcard
and after tweaking some more, I have a failure to mount sdcard (I had formatted many thing in the hope to clean things up but I am lost now.
Would any one have an idea to help me recover my phone ?
