Has anyone got Google Wallet to work on AT&T using the International I9300?
I have the app installed on my CM9 ROM but I get the "Not Supported" error when opening , saying it is not been certified with this device or carrier.
Any help is appreciated.
I have the international version, was wondering if there's any way to get GW working yet.
I read in another thread somewhere on here there is a modded version of gw that should work on other carrier phones. I haven't looked into it since I have the US sprint version. If I remember right the app might say your device is unsupported but will still work. (The modded gw app won't do a region/device check.) It was something like that. I would search for it on here. I hope this helps. If it does it would be nice to know just for future knowledge.

wondering about the same issue
I have it working on cm9 and att but you cannot use the one from market. Instead head over to nexus forum and find a link to it there in general discussion section.

I have it working on my S3 as well. If you want to use it on something other than cm9 tho you need the latest official rom(LFB) then get this modified version of wallet http://www.modaco.com/topic/354635-region-device-root-patched-google-wallet-apk-11-r67-v12/.
Um...i may be paranoid, but don't you wonder about using a modified APK that has access to your money? I mean, is it guaranteed to be save and not maliciously modified.
You can wonder the same about aftermarket keyboards, accessibility apps 7, Roms, or root applications.
They all have access to the data.
That's why you should only use apps by trusted developers.

Ok I know the titles sounds dumb, but bear with me a moment. On my Desktop I have to log in to the Google Wallet site to check my payment options shipping address stored and transaction history. Can't I just install the Google wallet apk to access this easier on my phone? I know I won't be able to make payment thou my phone, but I'd like the easy interface and pin to check my Google wallet account.
Would I be able to install the apk on a device running Gingerbread 2.34 or would I have to wait for ICS to even try?
Thank you everyone~
I did just that on my G2. It works. I'm running ICS though....

I have a Droid X2 but lucky for me the developer on CM9 going to release ICS in a week or two which is how I even got this idea XD.
What are you able to do with Google wallet on your G2? Can you check your payment history/card balance/change default credit card?
I was wondering if anyone out there is working on a port of Google Now for the Rezound ICS.. Would love to be able to run this on my pgone, just have no clue how to port anything.
On a side note is anyone working on a JB rom yet either?
last I checked it's not compatible for us. I believe it's strictly for 4.1 cause of the API level unless someone cam.correct me. since you didn't read and search much you could have answered your JB question easily. we don't even have a full stable aosp ics rom yet alone kernel source so JB is a longshot for now
i think it possible indeed
if you will look at this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvqSR13gpGk this is a review of android 4.1 jelly bean running on galaxy s3. when he tried to open google now, it's showed a message: "google search stopped working". what's mean, that google now is google search application on the android 4.1. what it only need to be, it's get the google search apk from jelly bean rom of galaxy nexus, get the apk code (this is how to get the code of the apk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocVGRtjuD-g), and with the code make an application for the ics and try to install. according to this logic, this very simple to port google now for ice cream sandwich, even gingerbread. i wish this is how it conducted. if yes, it's mean google now for everyone
---------- Post added at 03:52 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:59 PM ----------
and after it will succes, developers will can add google now some sources of the siri like applications that develop until now like iris, skyvi, mira, s voice and more, to make google now to answer for questions in cards that if we asked her now, google now will take us automaticly to search results. and then, google now will be the ultimate voice assistant. she still can't answer like that like siri. but after that, google now will destroy siri once and for all!

Tried searching, all I have right now is my phone (no computer currently), which makes filtering/narrowing down a search more difficult. Not necessarily saying aosp, just a developer implementing parts of jb into a current rom for the rezound. Mainly notification inhancements, keyboard, and of course Google Now (if any are possible at this time)......

Someone pulled it from jellybean. It works aside from voice and wifi. Better than nothing I suppose. I tried it and confirm that it partially works.

Did you have to do anything special? I am on rls 3.1.2, but I do not see that file that I am supposed to rename in the system/app directory? No idea why, ut it is not in that directory or anywhere on my phone. (GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk)
Edit: Nevermind. Gave it a shot, and it seems to be working fine.

I'm not sure if you were still trying to get this to work, but I since no one put this answer in this thread, I will.
This voice workaround works pretty nicely. Basically, you replace the search widget with the google now widget, then use ICS's speech to text and push it into the search box for google now.

Have fun!
FYI guys its updated by a user named lenny_kano.. They haven't updated the OP with a new apk, but if you look at the last 10-15 pages you can find the hack and slash method.. Essentially- it works perfectly. Native voice and all (she even reads back the results to you).. pretty freakin awesome.
Flashable Zip
Thanks to fellow Rezound user udz2002, here is a link to the flashable zip that he posted.
Sadly the box account is out of bandwidth. Would be nice if someone who got it , could upload it. Thanks in advance.
I followed the directions in the thread and it worked the first time.

You may have already seen this but if not, XDA member febcyv has managed to get google now working with ICS.

I have not tried this on my TF300 yet, but if anyone else has I would be eager to find out how you got on.
Good luck and enjoy
Just installed it, and everything wet smoothly. I have no idea what I am expecting now though, it appears to have just replaced the search bar. Nothing different seems to have happened so far.
Edit: I had to install the modified Velvet-theos0o.apk file in order to get it to work properly. Voice search isn't working but that seems to be a common issue.

if you search factual questions it should now bring up "knowledge cards" with your answer rather than a google search.
Also try holding home and dragging up, it may open "google now" which is supposed to act a bit like your PA and learn your routine
I'm also doing a bigger more widespread port of this over in the android development>apps and games section
We have both a flashable .zip and an .apk. It has a strong effort into getting voice to work. If you want check it out. Go ahead!

Is there any versions out for non-rooted devices? Don't feel too good rooting my new device, would lose the quarantee
Unlocking voids warranty, rooting doesn't.
It says that it requires a "A Rooted device running ICS AOSP Rom". I'm rooted but NOT unlocked and therefore NOT running a custom ROM.
This won't work for me. Right?

Im not 100% sure, but I would imagine that the stock ROM is close enough to AOSP for it to work.
I think it probably would work, but you may want to wait for someone else to confirm

I'm the head of one of the Google Now for ICS projects and you can probably install this normally. Just make sure not to delete your original "GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk" file. Just rename it and have it on hand to put back if anything goes wrong.

Would changing the name of our phone in build.prop to the Sprint version or Rogers version, and the target operator work at fooling the Play Store so it would download, then changing it back once it was loaded up? I'd try it if I had the name used by Sprint's or Rogers' build.prop.
Edit:
The files that seem they'd work if changed in build.prop are:
ro.build.fingerprint
ro.build.target_operator

Nope, i think it requires some libs too. I know someone did it on the GS3
Yeah, there is already a forum that was dedicated to this on XDA (mikeYxda, I think). They eventually stopped the updates but he was the first one to port it for ICS. Towards the end they mention it being a beeyatch to do and if you want the updated version, either get JB or a phone that runs it! Guess they were done with updating, eh?

I've seen that people have this working for various phones (like the HTC One). Does anyone here have it working on the Verizon S4? If so, which rom are you using?
I'm using a TW 4.3 build and I keep getting flagged.

i tried this with the note3 and it didnt work. not exactly the same as the s4, but pretty close. Good for Enterprise has it locked down pretty good
Yes, I meant that I was flagged by Good for being rooted. No, I'm not an admin, so I have to be careful with how many times I fail and have to request a new pin. People are definitely getting it working on other phones.

It's working now! I'm using this Google Edition 4.4 rom. After it failed again with RootCloaker and the revoked permissions mentioned in the thread, I installed the Xposed module here. (I left RootCloaker and the revoked permissions in place, but I'm not sure if that was necessary.) I'm now able to use GFE on my rooted phone without any "compliance violation".
