it says it will have video calling through google talk
will it work for our rear face camera?
its obvious that version 2.3.4 will affect not only optimus one but also the other mid-range and low end phones which do not come with a front facing camera
maybe lg wont update optimus to that version.
till now we havent got 2.3.3 official yet so no use thinking of 2.3.4

Apparently, no. People managed to install it on mik's CM7 ROM, even the voice doesn't work.
2.3.4 does bring Vchat to some phones. But also bug fixes (black screen issues) and nfc support. So it will be good for most lower/mid phones as well.
Hey im using cm7 on my optimus one and it works flawless....
and cm7 is gonna update to android 2.3.4 so im asking that theres no front camera in optimus one so definatly there wont be video calls by it.....
Does dis effects any other phone process.????
I dont think there is anything else which is new in that version of android
Hey many HTC device don't have front camera and are successfully using gtalk AV on cm7 roms from rear camera.

Hello.
How are you?
I as wondering about the S3 camera vs the galaxy note.
I know the S3 camera has more features, mainly because of touchwiz 5.
What I would like to know is if the hardware of the S3 camera is better than the one of the note. Mainly the sensor and lens.
If both the S3 and note run a ROM like CM9, would the S3 camera deliver better image quality?
Thank you.
Best wishes

yes its better... luckily for you i personally tested it today, bright colors + decent pictures in dark than note
btw.. you have to ask the questions in q & a section.
Thank you for the reply.
Did you test both on the same ROM?
Cheers

Coming from a sgs2 I really feel that OK, sgs3 is a hell of a hw but that ICS and JB are still not optimized as the GB stock was for s3.
And other than optimization I'm sure that GB was lighter to run and that is mainly what I'm missing from my new device now.
So I'm wondering....really? Nobody thought about building a GB realease for this huge machine which is s3?
Nobody out there is wondering what I'm wondering?

At first, I was wondering the same thing, but I guess it's not possible, because of the Exynoss Quad-Core processor..
Maybe you should ask some of the devs personally
I dont think quad core is a problem. ICS and jb are well known as not been capable of a correct management of more than 4 cores...

good
The S3 is really good on Jelly bean you must do an update
I'm on dli7 and no its not comparable with s2 with 2.3.5 aboard in smoothness and fastness.

Paranoid Android (CM10) is much smoother than leaked JB due to the differences in framework as it uses more butter friendly AOSP.
I think we are a little OT.
question is GB on s3.
Btw I'm a crap wiz apps fan so no way for me to go aosp/aokp for the moment (I don't see why I have to, when my s2 had in a stock rom)

It would theoretically be possible to port CM7 to the device but noone in his right mind is gonna do this endeavour.
Most people complaining about ICS/JB being slower are referring to the transition animations.
Try going to System Settings->Developer Options and setting the Window-, Transition and Animator scales to 0 or 0.5
Stock ICS itself is only somewhat bigger than GB, make sure you get rid of bloatware.
Hmmm... GB on S3? Nah....

Huh? GB on the S3? How would want this? ICS and JB are so much better. I'm using MIUI at the moment, before I had the LG8-stock-fw + root but without any lags.

Look don't get me wrong but I already tried everything.
And trust me today I was putting my hand on my girlfriend s2 and that is another world.
What is different is basically the responsiveness in regards to the touch. And somehow the touch precision.
I put on my dli7 the developer mode to see the small dot wherever I'm touching the screen. Most of the time when I'm scrolling I'm seeing this dot this mean that my finger is faster than the touchscreen. This would never happen on a s2 and that is what I'm feeling as something really missing.
BTW to answer your question ive transition at 0 and everything what possible is demanded to GPU only.

I know of an 7000 has ROM that does multi windows.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1981609
SInce I am not a programmer, can someone 'splain in simpleman words why that GN One phone can have a ROM that does multi-window and our phone can't?
Is there a way to convert that ROM to an i717 ROM and retain that capacity?
TIA
The answer to your question about why the N7000 Note has the multi window update, but the I717 Note does not, that it's because the first gets software directly from Samsung, while the second has to have the software from Samsung tested by the carriers first. The phones have different processors and internal components, so software from one can't be typically ported to another all that easily, especially if it something low level, like multi window framework.

it's possible since I have a ported multiwindow rom on my bell s3, we just don't have many devs left especially to tackle a large project like that
Hi to all .. the title says it all .. I want to know, clearly, if there is a way to have the "dual camera" of galaxy s4 on the legendary galaxy s2 .. should not be a software feature? I think it's impossible that nobody has implemented a function so comfortable .. I await clarification from people more experienced than me
