Im running cm9 ics rom that I downloaded from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1588599 . Ive searched around and found that you can change the ro.build.id in build.prop to "IML74K" and it should work. I have done that and rebooted my phone but whenever I install chrome after opening it says that "Critical functionality required to run Chrome is missing; either your Chrome installation is incomplete, or not compatible with this version of Android." Has anyone been able to successfully install chrome? and if so how? thanks!
Chrome requires ARMv7 and will not work on the Aria.
ok

I installed the android market with the stock rom two weeks ago. I first used Zroot. I then copied the android market files onto my Gtablet but i did not place them in the system folders. I kept them in the download folder. I then installed the apps in the proper order and did the market fix. Everything runs perfectly ever after the latest update. So here is my question I can see my device in the android market, but it is unnamed and I can't see maker or model on the list. Is this normal? Should i be able to see a better description of the gtablet on the list. I believe i have a full market, but in can't seem to be able to find adobe flash or firefox mobile browser in the market. I've had to do a manual install for both to get the latest.
For some reason firefox can't surf on Webtop. Is anyone else having the same problem? It keeps telling me server not found. If I take the phone out I can surf just fine. I don't get it. It was working fine yesterday and I haven't changed a thing...doesn't work on WIFI or cellular connection
I even reinstalled a did a complete reinstall of a new rom, but firefox is not getting a connection...can anyone help? I just installed the homebase rom

what are you specifically saying to uninstall?
I haven't used the webtop yet so forgive my ignorance, just gonna throw some ideas at ya.
Do you have to use firefox or do you just prefer it? wouldnt you be able to download other browsers from the market place and just launch those once connected to webtop?
check under the settings for the firefox browser, see if you can play with any of them, what comes to mind is the client option, which allows u to chose from android or desktop.
Just wondering if anyone has been able to successfully update Google Music? When I attempt to update from the Market, it errors out after downloading. It says installing for a bit then "Error: Package file was not signed correctly"
Currently, I'm on GS2.4.4
:edit:
Apparently you have to uninstall 4.0.1 first. Duh! Guess I tried everything but google... I'll go to my corner now.
https://www.androidpolice.com/2011/...sic-4-0-9-app-now-live-on-the-android-market/
Posted too soon. Couldn't just uninstall, so used Root Explorer to delete /system/app/music.apk
Reboot and install of 4.0.9 from Market was successful. However, it just FC.
More work to be done.
: edit:
Ignore me. Uninstall/reboot/re-install and now it works
Mine updated perfectly fine except oddly enough it does not look like the preview of the app I saw on theverge.com. Is it showing the tablet version? As it shows cover art in portrait mode, btw i'm still on streakdroid 2.3 though as it has been stable for me, so this may be the reason my update went fine.
Sent from my Dell Streak using XDA App
Problem was that tenorntex's ICS theme flashed a leak'd 4.0.1
I tried using Root Explorer and deleting /system/app/music.apk (when I had 4.01) but kept getting the error "App already exists" even after rebooting.
I still couldn't download the market version for some reason so I snagged the 4.09 from here
You cant install 4.09 if you have 4.01 installed as they apparently have different certs, this is true for all apps
Hello,
I have an Archos 43 tablet and have been running UrukDroid 1.5.1 for a while now without issues. I recently discovered that 1.6 was released, so I upgraded to that successfully. However, now I'm missing the default android web browser. The Market app and apps I installed via the Market are still there. I do not see the default android web browser available via the Market (searching for "browser" and "web browser").
I've been searching the forums for answers to this but haven't had any luck. Is there an apk or something I need to install to give me the web browser back? I find it does exist when I reboot back into the official Archos firmware, but it's gone when running Urukdroid now.
Thanks,
Scott
Edit: I just managed to upgrade to 1.6.1 and this made no difference, the web browser is still gone.
have a look in /system/app.old
If it's there copy it to /system/app and reboot.
Don't copy everything, just the one apk

so on my phone, i only have the Android market and i can't get it to update to Google Play. I've tried updating my phone, downloading an apk (every time i open it, it says "There is a problem parshing the package."), i don't have Google Books/Music and i can't download from the market. i've tried almost every way possible. my ASTRO is not working for some odd reason, when i open it, the screen is black and it force closes. so i really need help here.
