This is an awesome app and does exactly what it says but can anyone tell me if there's anything about this app that could negatively effect our phone (options or features? I know setcpu was a no no)? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1422479

Who else would like to have this app? Ask the developer to support Xperia phones.
And if you dare to try it, share your experience. It seems a bit risky to install it.

Any reason? Or you just don't care about privacy and giving unnecessary permissions to suspicious apps

I need a cpu control app which has per app settings eg at the time when I'll launch a game that app will increase cpu frequency and after closing back to normal!, i have tried cpu master pro but it lacks this feature
If there is something like this available then please suggest me
Thanks in advance!

SetCPU? Don't have it handy atm, but I'm 90ish% sure that you can make profiles based on running apps

Setcpu is the best app for controlling CPU and alternatively you can also try system tuner
In setcpu u can set profiles and choose what app to run

Really! How?
Edit: Oh, I see what you mean, but the free version is old and doesn't have the app profiles. I just bought setcpu and confirm the per-app profiles work wonderfully.

Hi all
Is it possible to control what information apps can access. For example can I block certain apps getting my location information via GPS or other ways. But still be able to use the app.
Thanks

there's LBE:
for GB/ICS: LBE Privacy Guard
for JB: LBE Security Master
other alternatives covered here
Can this be disabled? Google reader is not even installed as far as I can see, and look at the size of that address bar!

I would have thought it would be fairly obvious if you don't use it, freeze it (I prefer this to outright removal, just in case you get rid of the wrong app). Like Google Search/GMail/Talk/etc, they're not exactly critical system apps.
This app claims to boost performance of android device, how do it work. More importantly is it safe as it ask for SuperSU permission, what is SuperSU permission anyway. I think I heard somewhere that superSU just mean allowing access to the SuperSU app, am I right or is this goong to give the app control over EVERYTHING (ie malware heaven).

Super su or superuser are apps that help you control what has access to your phone. Once rooted your phone becomes mostly free to use as you want. Having an app like supersu will help you keep malware at bay as anything requesting root access needs to go through it. So you aren't open for attack unless you grant something malicious permission
As for the app you want, I can't say how well it works but there are for sure some that help on older phones in particular. Usually any of the tweets an app like this offers you can do yourself manually, this just makes it easier to use. Try it out, if you don't like it delete it

App dont seem to do anything. Could be a case of malware. Like wallpaper apps that ask for dialing permission. Unless ofc other have something good to say about it.

I never used this application, but if you want to increase performance, use Adrenaline engine or Fly on Mod
