This is an unofficial port of CyanogenMod 9.
The AshICS is a project to bring us a fast, smooth and stable Ice Cream Sandwich ROM with several special features.
The ROM is developed, tested and released by AshAtWork.
I used several files from the MiniCM9. (Thanks to the amazing developer nobodyAtall)
I'm not responsible if this ROM bricks your lovely phone. Use it at your own risk.

Download the files.
Copy to sdcard.
Reboot to CWM.
Do a factory reset.

EDIT: Wow! it's very smooth & stable. No sammy bloatware. Everything is just smooth and fast, all it's missing is the Toggles and 4-way boot menu. Definitively keeping this one as my daily driver.

No hwcomposer .Until team hacksung states that they fixed hwcomposer there can't be a working hwcomposer in ANY jb derived roms

How is the Ram consumption on this rom? On CM10 I was getting only 150 free ram!
With same set of my apps I usually get 400 free ram on Samsung roms.

This is gingerbread. Ram doesnt matter. Battery may be a problem cuz ICS has better battery...
Didn't do any optimizations. Just wanted to share the build after running on my phone..

Requirements:
Unlocked bootloader

CWM recovery

Installation:
Perform an Nandroid backup of your current rom
Download rom and gapps
Place rom and gapps on sdcard.
Flash one of mentioned above kernels using latest Flashtool.
Boot to CWM.
Perform a full wipe. Format system/data/cache too.
Flash GingerCrystal-xxx.zip and after that GingerCrystal-gapps.zip in the same way.
Done ! Reboot. (note: first boot will take up to 5 min)
After you boot it, let the rom settle down for at least 2 minutes(better 5;to load up everything).
That's it. You've succesfully flashed GingerCrystal custom Gingerbread rom ! Enjoy in Gingerbread features on shakira.
Visit thread at least once in a 2/3 weeks to keep in touch with latest updates!

"Android L themed CM7 ROM" is a port of [ROM][PORT] CM7.2 - Android L By TeamNexus. This ROM comes with android L aesthetics but with the power of CM7. I have simply ported theirs' to our Samsung Galaxy I5500 device. This ROM includes apks from @saldymhmd JellyBread V5.0 ROM and some applications were moded from both of the ROM. Except quite a few frameworks color bug, the ROM is fine.

Very Smooth But;
Hi installed yesterday,
Everything was good except wifi hotspot.
When i turn on wifi hotspot it takes ages to turn on and when i try to connect it with my moto g it says authenticating.....obtaining ip adress then repeats this continiously.
One more, i couldn't find the quick access ribbon settings.
Except these problems its really a good rom.

One problem, I can't find the Device Settings to activate Fake Touch and Swap support. Did you removed them..?

I will be updating this in a timely fashion, but only until the AOKP team takes over with official builds. As far as I'm concerned, this can already be considered a daily with it's stability, but you know that the team won't be happy until all of the customization options are in place. They are still in beta, so it isn't completely fully featured like the KitKat version. However, there are quite a few options in there now and the team is working a lot on it, so each new update might have 1 or 2 new things to play with.
Well, suddenly the team released an official nightly for Bacon, so as I said in the original post I'm all done here. That was over about as quick as it started :laugh:. You can find their official builds over at basketbuild. Thanks to those who gave my build a shot, and will a mod please close this thread for me. Hope you all have a great day!
