Hey,
How to watch youtube HD on hspa?
Youtube HD option only appears when on wifi, and does not appear when using data....
Someone know how?
Go to setting in YouTube app and General and choose high quality, and that's about it of what you can do, they don't look HD but better then nothing

Now with my rezound I am unable to after trying with the included music app and several other programs. I tried going to output n changing it but nothing comes up after the resound searches. So I installed cm7 on my nook color and have it to my toddler. So basically I just want to know what the best way to download movies and YouTube videos for when we're on the road and unable to get wifi. Any entertaining games and interactive books anyone recommends? By the way he's 2 years old and loves playing ants and angry birds (although he has difficulties with the last).

Kid mode by zoodles is great. Lots of games and clips to watch. My 4 year old loves it. They always add new things. Just download movies on the computer and transfer them to the memory card

I'll have to give that a try, I'm only worried about the for size and format.thanks

Use mxplayer it plays anything you throw at it. I generally dload 700mb divx and xvid for my toddler. Not the best quality but we are happy. Blu-Ray and DVD are too big.

Do you experience lag when watching videos... I tried a couple of movies I downloaded and the sound is easy behind the movement. The character will talk, then about a second later you hear the voice. Any tips?

Nope rajul It wont work
In mx player
It won't allow hardware acceleration
And sw decoding will make the video lag Behind audio
If xperia p can record 1080p video than why can't play it?

In order to play 1080p it's necessary to use hardware acceleration and that depends on the encoding used on the video. Just checked on the 1080p recorded from my phone with MediaInfo:
AVC
Format/Info : Advanced Video Codec
Format profile : [email protected]
The encoding is based on h264/mp4 avc with baseline profile. Videos encoded with different codec or profile may not support hw acceleration.
today i tried record a 1080p by my XP, and it lag too ="=
wtf happen with my phone, i guess i should repair it, hope it work
btw, mx player not works

From my experience no but I haven't tried that much. But I do know you can watch HD videos on youtube, so maybe it depends on the app you use.

Yes you can watch HD videos
By using MX Player just select HW / SW so that video will be played with Audio also ,some times it won't play Audio, just set HW or SW .

I've tried several 4k videos and there was no lag/stutter or issues with regards to overheating.
Try an alternative video player? I recommend BS Player, excellent player. Plays every format and even supports subtitles.

MX Player is also awesome. I bet it also boils down to codec, bitrate, size etc. so keep that in mind.

1. YouTube compresses all videos, so you're not getting full quality
2. The Android YouTube-app only supports 720p.
3. Download a genuine 4K video and transfer it to your Ultra. YouTube is ****ty for this purpose.

I tested a little but really don't know much about video. Did notice tubemate will let you choose 4k to download but uses another app to prices it for storage , then MX will only use s/w decoding to play it. Dolphin browser with hacked flash player will play 4k from YouTube but then I have poor network for tested.

Doesn't help. The resolution will be "4K", but it won't be near full quality. You won't get true untouched 4K from YouTube. Google " 4K test file" or something instead, and do not use streaming services to test video quality.

Yeah never overheated or lagged when playing 4k content my Z ultra. Only thing i noticed was that sometimes it caused the homescreen to redraw when i pressed home. Sometimes.

You may be playing true 4k or above. Some devices won't even play videos that have resolutions higher than 4k. Try 3840 x 2160 for example.
