Hello!
I'd like to ask if anybody knows how to turn on "friend on android" icon in google talk?
I miss that neat little feature from my old HTC Wildfire.
I know there's a status icon in google talk (green, orange and red) to see who is available, but on HTC there was another icon to the right from the name of my contact to see who is currently logged on android. It shows little grey android icon.
I really miss that feature...
Thank you.

Just installed the Vegan Ginger RC1 and am having some trouble with the Google Calendar widget. Looks like it only displays 1 item for the current day no matter how big you stretch the widget. Anyone know a fix for this problem? Also seeing the same problem? Second, when you tap the widget and it shows the full calendar the text for items is not shown in most views - just a colored line. How can I see the title of items in the calendar in any grid-styl view?

Amazon market has business calendar free for today. Great app, with great widgets
Thanks for pointing that out! I noticed the app but didn't see a description of the widget so ignored it, even if free. I've now purchased it and will check it out, though it would be nice if the standard widget worked. This app doesn't support Honeycomb but maybe if we ever get it the standard app will work better and we won't need this app or it will be updated to support it.
I am trying to create my own theme, however, I am a little retarded. So I am looking for some help finding what I need. My homepage is below.
Apps:
Openhome 6
Simi clock/weather/battery
I would like an email and text message icon on the lower left corner, not sure if I should use words or white icons. If I use icons I would like really small ones. Any ideas?
Second, I would like a page that displays my agenda, but I am looking for a white agenda widget, any ideas?
I would also like buttons to adjust volume based profiles?? and I would like white buttons, just the picture not some square box looking icon. Any ideas?
I like the email, calls, and text thing everyone has, but I am not willing to pay 6 bucks for, anything close for less?
I am also looking for a clean lock screen. I saw one the has a slider that looks like >> but not sure which one that is, anyone know?
Any other ideas would be great. Please help me out here. I am really need something useful and clean looking.
Eric
Hello all, hopefully someone can help!
I have recently upgraded to the Orange branded Samsung Galaxy S2 and upon customising the appearance of the phone I wanted to add the Orange clock widget that you can see when you choose the Orange homescreen instead of the Samsung one (see attached).
After trying to look for the Orange 'clock and alarm' widget under "Orange Widgets" I concluded that it was not actually installed on the device. I doubled checked with the phone simulator on the orange website (http://simulator.orange.co.uk/vdevice-orange/actions/device/samsung_i9100_galaxy_s_ii) and noticed that it does display the 'clock and alarm' widget under the Orange widget list so in theory it *should* be there.
I also noticed that the Orange email application was also not present resulting in a 'gap' on the homescreen where the Orange email app shortcut should be (between 'backup' and 'maps').
Thinking i had a shoddy build I called up Orange and eventually got through to a UK senior techie bloke, (not before I was subjected to the usual "take battery off, reboot, let me send you some settings, read, delete, reboot" saga) and he was surprised as well as he had noticed on his Galaxy S with orange 2.3.3 gingerbread build that these apps were not on his phone. He asked around his department and the consensus seemed to be that these apps were too not available on their devices so the apps may be removed from the "standard" orange gingerbread build.
He said he would raise this internally as it seems weird that they are not there (they were apparently in the Orange 2.2 Froyo build) and there doesn't seem to be any logic for just removing those two apps, as well as the website simulator showing potentially incorrect displays.
So my first question is to any owners of orange branded Samsung Galaxy S2's, do you have the Orange "email" and Orange "clock and alarm" apps on your phone and if so, are they listed under "Orange widgets" or "Orange shortcuts"?
If you have, can you let me know what build you have (i.e. Android 2.3.3. Gingerbread.BVKE2)?
Second question is if anyone knows how I can obtain at least the Orange Clock and Alarm app (aside from asking Orange)?
I know most users like to 'debrand' their phone from the Orange "bloatware" and hence would find this request strange p!) but I really do like the look of the Orange themed clock on the homescreen!
Many Thanks in advance,
P
I just had to reinstall the latest software on my Xperia P, and now I am missing the "favorite contacts" widget. the one that is one line, with four contacts, but you can scroll it to find the other favorite contacts. anyone know where I can get my hands one this widget?
btw: I found out it has been replaced with a widget called "TOP CONTACTS". however I really don't like this. as it is 4 static contacts (can't scroll like I used to, to see more contacts, much the same way as the album widget) also, it's looks horrible, with TOP CONTACTS in big letters and the pictures are boxed in.
- Tried a 3rd party app, still not the same functionality.
- Also found an old widget someone posted, but this is the top contacts and call logs, its a 3x4 square widget. and I still want the 1x4.
Hi All,
I have a simple question yet I couldn't find any references at google
I made a google form web link and I add it to my home screen via chrome ("Add to Homescreen" set link)
Now, I want a way to send few friends that homescreen icon directly to their android home screen (or iOS users)...
how do I do that ?
Thanks
