Rooting new firmware - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
Can I root my international S3 with the same old Odin method with the new firmware ? I tried it didn't work for some reason.

Yes, works.
Grab CF-Root, flash via Odin and be happy
Worked flawlessly for me.

[Q] Root gone with ICS upgrade

Hi, apologies if this has been covered but i couldn't find anything specific on this.
I got the ICS 4.0.3 upgrade yesterday for my S2, but my root access seems to have disappeared (upgrade was the official Voda UK upgrade via Kies). I originally followed the instructions on this forum to root the phone a few months ago. Titanium backup has stopped working
Presumably I need to re-root? If so, should I follow the identical instructions which I used for rooting my 2.3.5 version?
Cheers
Wat lp version is it? Just install cf root kernel and u should be fine. Or speed mod. Up to you.
Yes the same instructions, just make sure you root using a cf-root kernel for ICS

[Q] S3 root, please helps

Rooting has nothing to do with what firmware you can run.
so YES you can be completely STOCK with a Rooted Phone!!!

[Q] Wireless/Gsm Error

I need a urgent Help Please,
I have just bought a second hand SGS3. It was obviously rooted and running custom rom. I am just a begginer and dont have good knowledge of these issues.I have downloaded a stock 4.1.2 turkey rom from sammobile, I have flashed with odin directly. It worked well but then it said "Emergency calls only" . Then i founded patch to fix (I had to root again) it worked but now it can't join any wireless network. Now my phone has CWM again.
Any help Please,
I just want to have stock rom running sgs3 which works properly, I flashed stock rom did not work well...

If you wanted rooted stock, via Odin, you can look here:

For some reason, I never remember seeing a regular Odin version of the non rooted software. Heimdall version works fine. Have used it before successfully.
