Hello all,
I originally posted the question as to why the phones screen stays on after charing completes (This happens because the phone gets a wake-up screen when chargin hits 100%, for reason unexplained, its because there is a setting that keeps the screen on while charging.
the fix is in this post I will reference below. Hope this helps someone.
I dont want to delete the thread as it will add more ways and keywords that should get picked up in a search.

i got my evo 3d on monday and love it .. a strange issue arises however when the battery gets to 100% the phone shows green on the led .... when i use the phone plugged in the battery goes down but light stays green ... and it doesnt seem to charge ... is this a safety feature ?? ive not seen how far it will go before it starts charging again .. but even at 97% the lcd remains green .. is this a glitch or something htc have done on purpose to stop the battery overcharging ???
Search the forum, there are a few threads posted on this. It's a feature to condition the battery. It will never reach 100%. The it will goto 99 then stop charging, then when it gets down to 95 it starts charging again. Hope this clears things up.

Hi,
Since a few weeks, I've been facing a very annoying problem. I have a samsung Galaxy S3 mini with cyanogen mod 11.0.
When I lock my phone, the screens lights off (as it is supposed to). But about every 30 seconds, it lights on, displaying the lock screen. Then it lights off, and starts the process again. Finally, my battery is being drained. It takes 4 hours to use 50% of my battery.
So I installed Wake lock detector to find the problem, but I cannot find anything relevant, so I cannot really debug by myself.
Could you give me a hand and tell me what I have to look for ?
Thanks.
UP. This issue is really annoying.
Am I in the right section at least ?
Ok, actually the bug is occuring only when the phone is not on AC.
When plugged, it behaves normally. So I wonder, is there a way to make the phone believe that it is on AC ?
Hello forums !
I have particular problem with my HOX+. The problem is rather strange and I didn't encounter similar to mine on this or any other forums, but down to the middle:
I have this problem from the start I just bought the phone like this. The phone turns it self down when the screen goes to sleep / phone. There is no problem when it is in HBoot or when I disable automatic sleep, basicly when I play with the phone and use it all the time it never turns off by it self. The moment when I push the power button and wait from 5-10 sec, the phone welcomes me with white screen and logo then proceeds to the system boot.
I thought maybe its OS problem and I installed the ViperX+ with a sucess but the problem is still there.
I also went to the repair center, and they suggested to replace the battery so I agreed but the problem is still there.
Any suggestions and help will be apreacheated thank you

Hi all,
I have recently noticed when charging my phone during the night that it seemingly randomly turns on the screen, goes bright and then shows the boot logo. After a few seconds it then shows the lock screen where I can enter my pin. It doesn't seem to actually reboot.
Does anyone have an idea about what is going on? Is it faulty, do I have a virus or something else maybe?
Thanks
Hi.
I have exactly the same issue.
Today I woke up and at the same time my phone was "rebooting" and ended up in lock screen, keyboard was showing.
And the phone had been on wall charger all the night.
It is really weird and I think it started to happen after the latest updates.
1- don't leave anything charging over night. The phone will get little charges to the battery to confirm it's 100%, thus reducing battery life. You may Google it.
2- have you updated without factory reset? If so, backup with native app and do it. Most problems disappear.
(managed to fix it)
I have a samsung j5 (2015 sm-J500F).
I had root for a while, I am pretty comfortable with it, but while searching for ways to make a peace of software work, I turned on a setting in supersu, and it got the lock thingy, from which I tried to get a new os, I got one, but it kept failing, tried a few more, failed. Found the one I used a while back, but while flashing it, I moved my cable.... So it unplugged and then it started flashing the blue "An error has occurred while updating device software,....." the screen wouldn't go to sleep mode, so the phone battery reached 0%... Now I am in a constant "bootloop" because of the full brightness error screen draining the battery before it can get charged enough to run properly. It is resetting over and over again, and I don't get enough time to flash the os....... Now the question is, how can I turn off the screen, so I would have enough time to flash the os?
Please help me,
James.
Edit: I smehow got into the screen, where the battery is on screen, no charging showing, just a battery with lightning in the middle of it, gonna let it rest, maybye it will charge, since the brightness is low and the background is black
thx.
IT FIXED ! I am very happy!
