i have idea for add other language from original rom to cooking rom like example Megatron-v1 .
i mean some cooking rom build on original rom Does not contain all languages and for example " Megatron-v1 " Does not contain the Arabic language and Hebrew, because these reason some body like me you can't Benefit from these rom or other..
i have original rom contain Arabic language i was extracted system file and i have unziped or uncompressed " Megatron-v1 " also contain system folder ...
my idea it's copy the language files from original rom to cooking rom after these make the cooking rom zip file and install on phone ....
i am do Something like these but dos not work ..because i don't have a lot of experience to do that for these i would share you my idea to help me how can Add other language to cooking rom ....

I've copied these files from the ROM containing the Arabic language in order to add this to the "rom" the tow file from system/lib, libskia.so and libwebcore.so
copy and replace with the original files in megatron rom ..then i am copy framework file from system/framework and replace with original framework file in megatron but when make check update script file from kitchen i have 1 issue in the script the issue it's " error in overwrite or something like these , i am do more tries but i need help you , I do not know the way of writing and the amendment to script

My Vibrant has some problem so i must edit init.rc in boot.img. I try my best to unpack the boot.img form CM10.1 but the tools tell me:Android Magic not found in cm7.img. Giving up.Oh my god!What should I do?Or who can help me unpack the boot.img?Please,I need your help!

I have a chinese phone Haier W718, as I buy it to make ROM modifications and learn how to compile and edit Android ROMs. I have the system.img dump from the original ROM and now I want to make the following.
1. Decompile the system.img file
2. Add new system languages
3. Compile and flash the ROM
So my question is how to properly decompile it and add the language that I want? I search for some tools in XDA but I am not sure if the things that I found are the proper ones. Can you please give me the right links for tools about this whole process. I also want to find some more information how to properly add a system language. Thank you in advance! By the way, I am using Linux so it will be better if the tools for compile and decompile are Linux compatible.

While Im waiting for my new stratos3 I decided to do Latvian translation for it.
I had made also for pace. it was easy- using Jbart aplication and Silve-alx rom update.zip could decompile rom add LV strings and compile, sighn and update.
With Stratus its different. here we have system.img. I managed to decompile . get res strings and compile back apk's.
BUT haw to compile back system.img
I have tryed diferent tools but no way to gat back img.
could someone whisper to me witch tool to use.
