Here's my problem. I can use the Wifi Hotspot and the Wireless Tether for Root at home or any other place I go except while I am at work. I have tried several different devices and they all will connect to my Thunderbolt unless I am in the building at work.
I have tried changing the channel to each channel available. I have also tried both secure and unsecured connections. I have also tried setting up a static IP on the device I am trying to connect.
The only way right now that I can tether is if I use PDAnet and I hate using this application. I would rather use my wifi hotspot to connect.
Anyone have any ideas how I can fix this?
Mine works anywhere. I'm actually using the mobile wifi to dl a movie and browse xda with no issues and I'm in a brick building with few windows. Anything special on your phone (root, rom, kernel)
are u trying to connect the same device at work that u connect everywhere else?

Yes I am. I have tried 3 different devices all of which work while I am at home and not at work.
I can use PDAnet to tether with and I hate doing it this way. I would rather use wireless tether to connect with.
Is there a way a company can either jam a wireless connection or prevent one from working that isn't their property? This is the only answer I can think of. We have several wireless access points in the building. Seems like there's on about every 50 feet or so and we have a very large building.
I had the same problem with the Droid Incredible but I was able to use an older version of Wireless Tether to get around this problem. It was version 1.06, but it doesn't fix my issue on the TB.
I'm trying to use my phone with xbox 360... I have my DDWRT router connected to my phone as a wireless repeater... everything is working.. I can connect to xbox live, but I'm getting strict NAT. I've tried opening the ports on the router, but it don't work.
Really the router wouldn't need to be configured, it more of apass through then a router. Anyone have any ideas I can try... the main port I need to open is 3074 tcp/udp for xbl.
I'm thinking is there is another port besides 3074 that is open that I can forward 3074 too.
Thanks
Maniac
Edit: C'mon.. someone must have an idea at least?!!.... I help the community when I can, now I need to community to help me!!
Is there ANY way to change NAT setting that my phone is using? I've got a v. fast connection and want to use it for online gaming but the NAT type I have now (Strict) does not really let me do that. I've tried Barnacle Tether but it is not working for me... So, any suggestions would be really appreciated as this is important for me.

Did you figure anything out on this app?
same question
Anyone figure anything out about this??
Is there a way to change Nat type on device ( galaxy note3)? Basically I'm trying to tether my device to my Xbox 1, as is I can connect and tether my 360 and it works fine, but in the xb1 it connects but I see the Nat type is set to moderate and not open thus causing connection issues. I played with apn settings and was able to set Nat type to strict but not open so I'm under the impression it's dueable through specific apn settings. I do see fields in apn settings that list port, but I'm not that educated to know what goes there or if it's even possible. Any help would be appreciated
